Top O' the Mornin'

7.1.23 our 1st time and we loved the entire experience. We love divey places and this was great. The staff was most welcoming and friendly. Our coffees came out hot and fast. We heard the corned beef was homemade so tried that and it was delicious. Overall it was a wonderful breakfast that was both filling, flavorful, and quick. Thank you for the great service.

Glad I stopped in here for breakfast while driving through. Great food, great service and the best coffee I had so far this trip. I liked the coffee so much, I brought a pound (they'll sell it ground or beans).
Specials were tempting (always have a fish dish on a Friday) but I went with the short stack and a couple of eggs. I didn't eat lunch that day.

Be coming here for over 20 years, was consistent always great they made lots of improvements inside. I try to come here whenever I have a meal to eat in the area. The serve breakfast and lunch. Not the best curb appeal but the food definitely makes up for it. Always good daily specials

The interior looked like it came out of a little western movie with touches of Ireland. The service was so nice and the food was amazing! Its the only place I've ever been that uses real corned beef brisket in their corned beef hash. My brother in law ordered the weekend special that was eggs Benedict with the corned beef hash. Everyone at the table tasted it. It was unbelievable!!!

The homemade corned beef hash is the best around and incredibly priced. Also, the staff and the way they serve a meal by putting a big breakfast on 3 plates instead of one plate like most other place was awesome!!!

My favorite breakfast joint. Small, compact, homie, very irish. Nothing like a home-cooked meal!

What a gem!! We were in area and googled a breakfast place, lucky for us Top of the Morning came up first! The food was prepared fresh, everything homemade and excellent. The waitstaff was friendly, enthusiastic and knowledgeable. Clearly a favorite amongst locals, I wish we lived closer as it would definitely be a regular haunt!

I have to say I was reading some of the bad reviews for this place & i just dont know how you give this place a bad review...yes the building is older, but the food & service is amazing...i read one that said they didnt like the hash...must be used to canned hash, because this place makes there own & its delicious....ive never had a breakfast that isnt spot on, and the waitresses have always been friendly & fast. I would recommend this little diamond in the rough to anyone.

From the outside Top of the Morning isn't fancy. Inside it is clean and inviting with friendly staff who made us feel welcome. The service was fast and friendly, food was superb and prices were reasonable. Would definitely come here again.

Great place for a terrific breakfast, and reasonably priced service was excellent! The owner has followed his Dad’s caring and cooking well!!

A delicious breakfast spot, with standard menu offerings (french toast and corned beef hash are standouts) as well as creative offerings (egg, pastrami , grilled onions on pretzel roll??!) Homemade breads, muffins, rolls and some of their meat is house cured. Love this place! The inside is small and a little outdated, but their food never disappoints. One of our favorite breakfast spots!

We got chocolate chip pancakes and french toast and it was delicious!! Service was wonderful too, would recommend :)

Running errands and was able to just squeak in before they closed for a quick lunch. Ordered the BLT with fries. It was delicious! You may say there's nothing special about a BLT, but you'd be wrong. This one was perfect, as were the fries. Service is always with a smile, even when they're about to close. I didn't feel rushed at all and I'm sure the table of 6 next to me felt the same.

We had breakfast here this morning. The food and service were excellent! My wife liked the hash browns. They reminded her of her childhood with her mother. We liked it so much that we went back for lunch which was great.

Got lucky and found this hidden gem...
Happened to be in Waterbury taking a friend to see family. Went to the IHOP around 7:40am to see COVID-19 hour changes still in effect and didn't feel like waiting the 20 minutes longer for them to open. Searched breakfast in Google maps and decided on this place over one other in particular. As we were driving there I started questioning my choice as GPS had me going through some industrial and not so nice areas. All of a sudden we come up on this small hole in the wall type place, but I was super happy we went for it and had gone in. The FOOD was quite delicious. I had cinnamon raisin french toast 🤤 and BEC on a roll, and my GF had an omelette. We haved raved about this place to everyone. Highly recommend... especially the cinnamon raisin french toast!!

This place is the definition of what a breakfast joint should be. You will find your typical breakfast menu as well as Irish offerings. You will also find specialty stuff like bacon cheeseburger or philly cheese steak omelets. Very fair pricing for something like your standard 2 eggs and toast with you choice of meat. Staff is very friendly and prompt. A+ establishment, they have a customer for life

It's a great little breakfast/lunch spot. I've only been there for breakfast and it's very tasty.

Great food at good prices. The daily special omelette s were very different from the usual. Small old fashioned breakfast and lunch only menu in old building with good fast service. Stop in if you are in the areA.
