I made an appointment to get my brakes looked at. They were upfront about what I might need done.
Having access to a loaner car while my car is being worked on is very convenient. Their communication before they performed any service about what the problem was with my car, what needed to be done, and the cost was great. They completed my car repairs before the end of the day. I would definitely recommend getting service here.

First time visit to Portland Automotive, for CT state emissions testing only. Car was in and out in 13 minutes! Didn't even get to finish one article in the waiting room magazines. Great service and it pays to have an appointment.

I ended up at Portland Automotive since I have a car with CarMax's parts warranty on it and they are part of the approved mechanics, and Firestone in Cromwell (review for them incoming on their page) said that my car had an issue with it.
From the moment I stepped in the door (which was opened for me- where does that even happen anymore), to the folks at the front desk, to communication, to the inspection and service, Portland Automotive gave beyond 5 stars. They did a full inspection on my car, and despite what Firestone in Cromwell said, I did not need new brakes or a valve cover gasket, saving me hundreds of dollars.
I'd whole-heartedly recommend Portland Automotive. Thank you!

Just had my tires rotated. As always everyone was courteous and professional. Service was provided in a timely manner while I waited. Always pleased with their service!

Everyone was friendly and we got taken care of quickly and efficiently. They even gave us Matchbox cars when we mentioned how much the kids would love to see the cool treasure chest they have for kids. Nice clean waiting room, maybe the best service team I've encountered when dealing with my car, really nice bunch of guys!

I took my car to Portland Automotive for emissions. They were very friendly and took my car promptly. The waiting area was comfortable. When my car was done the mechanic brought my car right out and handed me the keys. It was a very pleasant & smooth process.

I have been a customer for years. They find and fix what others overlooked or mistaken. They walk you through and explain why their actions to your car are essential. Being formed helps those who need to become more familiar with vehicle parts. They also take the time to make sure you feel comfortable with your vehicle before you leave the lot. Great service!

As always, Mike and the guys at Portland Automotive were great! I recently purchased a used car and Mike answered all of my questions about what to look for. He gave me some great advice, which helped me get to my final decision. They also did an inspection for me to make sure the car was in great working order. I can't recommend them enough!
