Food was top rate, best wing I have ever eaten, smokehouse poutine was out of this world and their S&M Marg was a truly unique and delicious experience. Awesome environment 6/5 if I could!

Fantastic food...love that you can order tacos individually. Great variety of beer on tap that's always changing and never disappoints. The tequila is excellent, love that you can order 1/2 oz at a time, makes it easy to try many different types without getting blasted! Many of the same wonderful staff members from old Mikro :)

Great small restaurant. It’s a cool dark vibe with a great local beer draft list. Not the typical Mexican restaurant. Great happy hour menu. Will be back!

Always enjoy the atmosphere at Texiko. Had my usual Oaxaca with the devil drink but tried a special called Georgia Flame, yum 😋 Drink menu attached

My husband and I really enjoyed this place for date night. They have several tables for comfortable outdoor seating. Our server was very attentive and friendly. Their poutine was great and the sauce on the Mexican corn was amazing - limey and zesty and cheesey. We came a few years ago and had been a little underwhelmed by their portion sizes at the time, but this time we had a great experience with great food and great staff! Will definitely be back!

This place has a great atmosphere! Everyone I have ever had the pleasure to interact with has been fantastic! Don’t forget the food, it is amazing! I have traveled the country in search of great barbecue and this establishment is the best in the area! I only wish their hours were better but I blame Covid for that!

Ordered food to go and the food we ordered was given to someone else. No big deal, mistakes happen. They were really apologetic and ended up remaking our food for us and gave us each free beers. Little things like that make people want to come back.

Also because the food was amazing. The Dry rub on the French Fries was really good.

Great beer on tap. The food was awesome. I had the vegetarian tacos, so good. My main squeeze had the arepas also great. We were both full and happy. The service was super. We could try some beers before we decided.

In search for the Birrias tacos that were trending on Tik Tok lead me to Texiko. I'm so glad it did. The trend is not hitting where I live. The drive was worth it. The menu is found on a QR scan code or you could look online. We started with the poutine and brisket. I requested the fries to be extra crispy. They were phenomenal. It had the right amount of gravy to fry ratio.. We ordered the smoke plate, the Birrias tacos and ribs. Ribs are only served on Friday and Saturday. The smoke plate had smoked chicken thighs, pulled pork, sliced brisket, beans, rice, coleslaw, plus 3 different sauces and Texas toast (it's just Texas type of bread toasted) Birrias are basically a taco with pulled meat instead of ground meat. There is limited parking in the front but more in the back. Reservations are not taking. My camera is not the best and does not do justice to how good the food looks in person.

Excellent food, service and drinks! The guacamole is to die for! Love the smoked steak tacos and the churros. The passion fruit Margherita added to the fabulous meal. Can wait to come back.

For those worried about COVID, this place takes incredible precautions!

Our favorite place to go in Hamden. The food is always delicious. They cook one of the best pork in the area. I don’t think I will ever get bored of eating here.

1st time in here, but first impression was very very good. We just stopped in briefly so I can't comment on much, but there was a nice selection of beers/tequila/mezcal/cocktails. Friendly/helpful service and music that was, to my taste, great (Here Comes Your Man by Pixies leaps to mind). I'm sure I'll return and sample more, so this review should be considered "to be continued".

An incredible addition to the Hamden/North Haven food scene. Loads of gluten free options (practically the whole menu) and the friendliest and knowledgeable staff possible. Do not miss trying this restaurant.

One of the best Craft Beer bars in the area. Great Southwest inspired food and BBQ.

Ordered takeout yesterday: they got the order right, it was ready quickly, everything tasted good, which is more than I can say for my experience at other nearby places during the pandemic

Absolutely love the poutine. The smoked meats are delicious. Great beer selection and who doesn't love a margarita on tap.

Our server, John S was an absolute delight! Tequila selection is dope & our dinner was DELICIOUS! I'm still thinking about it 💭

We frequented Mikro a lot when it used to be in the same space and the food, drinks and atmosphere are just as good at TexiKo. We'll definitely be back.

Local craft beer and a great tex-mex, BBQ menue... What is not to like. I think we found our new go to dinner out.
