Best cupcakes I ever ate! It's very hard to pick a favorite with all the yummy varieties. I love the chocolate with vanilla frosting, orange with vanilla frosting, lemon with lemon frosting, and vanilla with vanilla frosting. And A+/Superlative service. Ambiance is fun, happy, and clean.

Amazing gluten free cupcakes and frosting! I love red velvet and tis cupcake was delicious!! I must go there and see all the rest of their delicious menu choices, quite a selection. They also have vegan options as well! Definetly recommend checking this place out, even if not in area! They do cakes as well but need advanced notice. Thank you Mr. D

This place is so cute and colorful! They have amazing deserts for parties, gifts & just because! The staff there are all super sweet and helpful!

I didn't even know this place existed until my dad's girlfriend brought us there I had my daughter and my nephew and they got tons of candy they had homemade looking great desserts I loved the atmosphere it was a great place and I recommend it to anyone who's around

We love the desserts here, especially all the gluten free options! My daughter has celiac and it's great to have a place to go get a yummy treat! (One picture isn't gluten free- lemon raspberry cupcake with a scoop of lemon raspberry ice cream, the 2 dozen are gluten free and were amazing!)

This ice cream shop has a variety of things for people that have a sweet tooth. From ice cream to cupcakes, candy, cookies, shakes, etc. Great customer service as well.

Mr. D's is a great place for local school kids to meet. I like their cupcakes, and usually go for the decadent chocolate ones. I celebrated my 43rd birthday on one of those cupcakes with my son. When students from China were visiting us, we took them to Mr. D's while we were showing them around Wallingford.

Wife and I have been trying to find better cakes in town. Lots of options that we've tried and I don't wanna bad mouth any of them....but Mr D's has totally won us over. I got 6 different cupcakes for my wife's birthday and it was all sooo good. It's her new favorite carrot cake and the hummingbird cake was incredible which I've never heard of before.

This was my first time going to Mr. D's. The staff was incredibly helpful. They were polite, funny, and completely went the extra mile. I ended up getting an I've cream cake that was to die for! Most delicious ice cream I've had in years. 10 out of 10 would recommend this place to anyone and everyone.

What a fun place! We just moved to wallingford and many people have told us to try Mr. D's. My kids loved the cupcakes. Normally, I cant get much because my nursing baby can't have dairy or soy but the vegan ice cream here was incredible! We will be returning!

has good gluten free options but also has a good range of regular cupcakes. I tried the cannoli and salted caramel and both were delicious

Wonderful local ice cream shop. Has that old school nostalgic flair on the inside with large jars of candy. Ordered my daughter's ice cream cake for her birthday and the staff did a great job of putting it together, and it was delicious. The price for the cake was so reasonable and there was so much left over. Perfect for a September birthday! Their staff is always nice and they even DELIVER!!!! HOW MUCH BETTER CAN IT BE? ;) 🍨

This place is AMAZING! Went here last year to get gluten-free cupcakes for my wife's birthday and they were delicious. In the past year my wife found she has more food allergies besides gluten and it posed a challenge finding a good cake for me this year. After calling several places to have a gluten-free and dairy-free cake made, I became discouraged since many places were not able to provide this type of cake for weeks out. However I called Mr. D's and asked if they could accommodate and the did SAME DAY. I immediately got my order in with Samantha who was friendly and helpful, and told me the cake would be ready by 5pm. I was excited and relieved. On a whim, I called around 3:30pm, just to make sure 5pm time was still good and to my surprise they told me my cake was done! This couldn't have worked out any better!! Needless to say, I picked up the cake, got home and we celebrated my wife's birthday with a delicious gluten-free and vegan chocolate cake with coconut filling and frosting. The icing on the cake (pun intended) was that my wife commented on how beautiful the writing on the cake was. As I picked up my order, I saw the little doggie cakes they make as well and had to buy one for our dog. Mr. D's will now and forever be my go-to for any and all cakes! Keep up the fantastic work and if you haven't tried them yet, get there! You won't regret it!!

Best cupcakes and frosting I ever ate! I especially love the chocolate with vanilla frosting, followed by the lemon with lemon frosting, and then the vanilla with vanilla frosting. So many flavors to choose from, including festive treats, such as apple crisp and candy apples.

the owner, Heather, and the staff are very amiable, upbeat, and the atmosphere is clean and fun.

This place has the best raspberry truffles, and a great selection of treats!

When people say "I feel like a kid in a candy store" they're referring to Mr. D's. I mainly go for their cupcakes but they have so much more to offer. It's a beautifully colorful place with plenty of candy, treats, cakes, and toys for kids of all ages. The staff I've encountered each time so far have been rather pleasant, aside from one person that seemed to be having a less than enjoyable night however she was still polite if a little court. I love coming here.

Mr.D's is amazing! They have the most delicious ice cream as well as fresh baked goods such as cupcakes and cookies! The staff is also very friendly and patient with picky children. 😊 If you're in the area I highly recommend a visit to Mr. D's!

I ordered 5 dozen cupcakes for my daughter’s birthday for delivery to her dorm. The entire experience was wonderful and stress free. This was the first time that I was separated from my daughter on her birthday so I was stressed. Bill from Mr. D’s understood and took great care with my order even delivering the cupcakes himself. My daughter said the cupcakes were delicious. The entire dorm said the cupcakes were moist, scrumptious, and mouth watering even the gluten free red velvet cupcakes were a resounding hit. Mr. D’s is the go to bakery in Wallingford for a reason. It never disappoints!

This is a small town cupcake shop that also has candy, ice cream, coffee, and other assorted treats. All their cupcakes and treats are made on site, and are really delicious. The shop is in a cute area of downtown Wallingford. Definitely a great place to take the kids for a treat, or go for dessert after hitting up.some of the restaurants in the area.
