La Foresta Restaurant

Update: we've liked La Forresta for years now, but we just had a special celebration for 16 of us and the experience was amazing! The food, service and atmosphere in the small wine room were incredible, ensuring our guests had an unforgettable experience. Love it!
The apps were great (meatballs, calamari, fried oysters, arancini). The wine selection was fantastic - we went with a Spanish wine theme and the options were spot on. We then served the fettuccine in the cheese wheel - the best fettuccine Alfredo any of us had ever tasted. The entrees - individually selected and desert selection came through as well! Thank you la Forresta for making a special celebration even more memorable!

I believe I just found the best seafood, bar none, in CT. Steaks and wine were delicious. Had an amazing night where everything was perfect. Will definitely go back soon.

What a great evening we had at La Foresta!!!! A last minute choice for my wife and I,on a very busy Tuesday evening!! We will not sit inside anywhere with what is going on and the outside was very busy! We walked up anyways and the owner greeted us and we said it’s been a long time since our last visit! Thinking we would be asked to go inside , he pointed us to the last available table, and we did not have reservations!
We were seated next to a reserved table of 13, after 20 minutes of nobody showing up for the table of 13, I decided to go look at the name on the table!!!
How awesome was this!!! The owner had the table for 13 with full glasses of wine for the fallen soldiers!!!!!!!! How awesome was that for him to do that!!!

Our waitress was great and very busy being shorthand, I’m so sorry I can’t remember her name, 209 was on our check for being our server? The new deck was huge and covered and an outside bar!!!! Kudos to the owner for everything he has done!!!! Can’t wait to go back very soon!!!!

Everything from the appetizers to the wine to the entrees was perfection. The service was excellent. We wish we found this restaurant when we moved to CT!

Great food and service! The wine list is extensive... and they are happy to guide you in the right direction of you feel overwhelmed. Sorry I didn't get a picture of our dinners they were plated beautifully and we dug right in. Such goodness!

Not sure why it took so long to find La Foresta after living in central CT for 10 years but this place is a gem. Classic family run Italian restaurant. Food was outstanding salad was from their onsite garden entrees were perfect. They have the largest wine cellar in CT we got to tour it with the sommelier whose knowledge and passion for wine was inspiring But the wine list was amongst the best I’ve seen. Values galore. The service was on the mark. We felt like we were welcomed into their family for a special evening. Well done!

Went on an early week night to take a friend out who has been going through concussion protocol. I asked for a quiet protected table and our waitress was kind, accommodating and sweet.Thank you Jay! You made our experience perfect! Oh by the way, the food was fantastic!

It was just amazing as usual. Every bite was an absolute taste sensation.

We sat in a covered deck outside. The food was very good. The service was also very good. We were celebrating a birthday. They did very well. I recommend this to anyone without kids.

Tucked away in Killingworth but an incredible restaurant. The service was excellent and the food was ridiculously delicious.

A great all around NYE dinner, thank you! Our waitress and maître de were the best! Our apps & dinner were a bit late getting to the table, unknown to us caught up in talk, but the staff took care of us very very well. The food was just as great! THANK YOU AGAIN

Atmosphere is great, service is excellent, the food is delicious we tried many different things they were all very tasteful, the wine list of course is above & beyond anything you've seen! Worth the drive from anywhere to this destination, almost forgot to mention the deserts were delightful.

I would highly recommend. The moment you walk in, You are greeted by the owner Francesco. Our appetizers & entrees were great. Staff & Francesco walk around attending to every customers needs. I learned about the owner & his family in a short time while dining, because he is that personable.
I can not wait to go back. Truly a family restaurant.

My husband and I have had dinner here twice. Everything was delicious both times - I definitely recommend going with the daily specials if they appeal to you. The menu is fairly long and varies, so I think most dietary restrictions can be accommodated but there are only one or two options if you are avoiding something (such as meat). The staff was very friendly and attentive both visits.
