Those who are calling this a Frankenstein just don't know how to operate it properly! Our 1800BG DCS has been a work horse for production! Their support team is highly aware of the nuances of these machines -- so well that George reached out to me months after I had an issue when he realized that one of our flags was broken off (it could be seen in the video and I didn't notice). Once we directly followed their operating instructions to reduce UV reflection, filling the catch tray with a sponge, and covered ALL of the vacuum holes -- we have had zero issues! It only takes a few prints of improper usage to destroy the head and I believe that is where most of these bad reviews are coming from!

Just completed getting a new 7200Z installed and so far the machine is amazing, time will tell but the main reason for my review is the outstanding work of the technician that conducted the installation and training Michael Doiel. We have many machines and have had many technicians to do training and Mike was by far the best we have seen. His customer service, professionalism and knowledge of the product was so on point, he is an absolute asset to Direct Color Systems. Having quality employees like Michael is something every company should value and is what really makes a company great. Thanks Mike, we appreciate your hard work last week and look forward to working with you in the future.

I purchased a new 7200 a couple months ago with nothing but issues from the beginning. It got to the point where I was done with the machine and the company. I understand that these machines are complicated and there can and will be issues but you get to a point where you need to draw the line and cut your losses. The management at DCS offered to send out a new 7200 and send Mike Doiel out to do the install. Since that was our only option I accepted. Mike spent 2 days here getting the new machine running and helping us with a couple of our current projects we need the 7200 for. Mike was extremely helpful and knowledgeable on the 7200. Since the install we have been on the phone with Mike getting it dialed in and he has been there every time we had a question. It is because of him I am giving the 5 stars and he renewed my confidence in the machine and the company. These printers can produce some amazing products if they are set up correctly and the operator is trained on how to use it.

We recently purchased a 7200Z UV printer. We were nervous to get it up and running having never used the dimensional software before. Mike Doiel was our tech that came out and setup the machine for us. Mike was great at explaining everything in detail on how to operate the machine and how to do basic troubleshooting should we need it. We were operating the machine with a good understanding of how everything worked within the first day and so far so good it has done everything we purchased it for.

We just purchased a 1800z and so far we are very satisfied. With everything else it takes practice, time and maintenance. We look forward to seeing what we can can do with this machine and are excited about all the new products and ability for short runs, we can offer our customers. I've contacted DCS with silly questions on numerous occasions and they have always answered me promptly. So far loving the purchase we've made and can't wait to now finally start selling our own artwork!

This review is specifically for Juan Zayas (Technical Support Lead for DCS) and not the printer (1800z) we purchased from them as that's an entirely different review!! Due to the many issues we've had with our machine over the last year, I've had a lot of contact with Juan. He's EXTREMELY knowledgeable about the printer and always represents himself and the company in a very professional manner. Despite the many printer problems, we always felt very supported by Juan and his team and knew he was doing all he could to rectify the situation. For example, he extended his drive further north after a recent tech visit with another company as he knew we were having another issue (case #25243) and wanted to ensure our business wasn't interrupted by it. We hadn't requested a tech call....he just wanted to make sure we were taken care of. His support is honestly one of the only things that has saved us from calling it quits with DCS!

Tech Support is the best. I have had a few minor things that I forgot about from training and had an issue with the printer. Michael Doiel, responds back quickly and helps walk me through my problems. This has happened 2 times in the past 2 weeks. Great response and help. Printer is great, but the tech support we have received so far from Michael has been incredible.

My company purchased the 7200z model and the product has been wonderful. The only thing better was the installation & service provided by Michael Doiel who always seems to take the extra step for you. DCS has provided the printer & ink that is helping to change our production methods, and I look forward to collaborating more in the future.

Just spent the last 4 days getting this 7200z installed and it works better than I had even hoped. It replaces antiquated systems for making ADA compliant signs seamlessly. It's really a 21st century production machine.

Mike, the service tech that installed and trained us on this was highly professional and courteous. Would recommend this to anyone who is in a production environment.

Direct Color Systems has a great tech support team. Every time we've encountered an issue or needed guidance on s/w or h/w usage, they come through for us. We are very tech savvy here, and they still have helpful hints and tricks that we'd never thought of trying. We have never had anything go wrong that they were not able to help with in a timely fashion.

I have to strongly disagree with some of these reviews. Our experience with Direct Color Systems has been very positive. The technical support has been amazing! We have had a few issues pop up with our UV printers (yes, we own two) over time, all have been solved to our extreme satisfaction. You have to keep in mind that we are dealing with printers here, printers are challenging at times. The staff at DCS is experienced and very knowledgeable. The products that we are able to produce and offer to our clients are fantastic! The growth in sales that is directly attributable to this technology is nothing short of incredible. If you are considering adding this process to your production capabilities, don't give it a second thought. Due to the time difference and shipping time, I wouldn't mind seeing a service center located out West.

My company purchased our second uv printer, the 7200Z from DCS and had it installed in February 2019. Mike Doial was our technician that came and spent 4 days setting up and installing our new toy. Mike was great at answering our questions and making sure we were prepared to run. When he left I felt 100% confident in the work he did. Mike has been available for our questions and responds in a timely manner. We are very impressed by our DCS machine. I am so happy with the products we are producing. Truly a better machine and inks compared to our other uv printer. Very happy with DCS and Mike Doial!

DCS Has been a pleasure to work with. Upon purchasing our 2nd 7200, Michael Doiel arrived to setup the second and help us move the first to a larger area. Michael was extremely helpful, both explaining things and helping me to refine my processes to be more efficient. I can't speak highly enough of him as he is probably the best tech I have worked with from many different companies. The dude knows these machines inside and out. DCS has expanded our capabilities in many ways.

Edit: Today Michael came for another visit and had our problems solved within hours. The guy just understands these machines as if he designed them top to bottom. His knowledge, professionalism and advice are all top notch.

Never worked with a better tech in all my years in print shops.

Juan has been here to service it a couple of times and he's always knowledgable, patient, and goes the extra mile to make sure any and all issues are addressed to our satisfaction before he leaves. We purchased a 1024MVP from Direct Color Systems last year and was lucky enough to have Mike Doiel as our installer. I can't imagine where we'd be without him. He was thrown some curves on the installation due to misinformation given him yet he was able to work with us, set up our machine and gave us great instructions on a very limited time basis. We learned a lot in a very short time, then continued learning on our own. Later last year we had several problems with our machine and I insisted we get Mike out to work on it. He came again, fixed the problem in a timely manner and was able to troubleshoot some of our issues with us so we could get up and running again. He is an expertise in his field, great at teaching necessary information without putting too much on you at once, very dedicated to his customers and genuinely concerned about helping us make money on this machine. He is about the only one I trust at DCS and has helped us through some real learning curves in the past year. We appreciate him!

We have been working with DCS since 2016 and have struggled to learn how to properly maintain, repair and operate the UV printers. We now have 3 DCS printers due to the success of our business largely based on the technology of UV printing. Jake Hyman was our first installer back in 2016 and has since been our "go to" guy when the other technicians are unable to solve especially complex issues with both software and hardware. We always hope HE picks up when calling for help. For example we have been going in circles for days with tech support for a carriage problem and Jake was able to pin point the damaged cable and board within minutes and order the appropriate part to get us up and running again. Tech support is our lifeline since as you know these printers do not run by themselves and take constant repairs and maintenance. Thanks again Jake!
