This gem is something that I regret not going before.
What a place, from the moment you enter the whole experience begins with a welcoming service, even the people who go there are nice and welcoming. Then the coffee quality is noticeable which only serves as an excellent companion to the French infused menu.
Watching the chef preparing your food just adds value to the whole plan.
Needless to say the food was fresh, flavorful and beautifully presented.
Will Go Back.

Fantastic spot for breakfast or brunch. Please be aware that the space itself is very small, however, the food is fantastic and the service time does not dwindle no matter how busy it gets. I absolutely would recommend the Apple brûlée French toast and the Lobster Benedict.

Nestled across the street from a venerable shoreline favorite, the Turtle Cafe is another absolute gem. Chef Ricky and Mariah, who was at the counter, were extremely welcoming and make for great conversation. The menu is vast and all of the food was amazing. I had eggs Benny with a side of hash, I highly recommend this place.

Thoroughly enjoyed this cozy café. Highly recommend.
Warm atmosphere, friendly and proficient staff, lengthy menu. We sat at the counter (Which you rarely see anymore). Had just about anything you could want on the menu, even crepes of every sort. Really a great experience. Left full and happy.

Great location to visit for breakfast. Parking is a little tricky when busy, but there is a little bit of available parking behind the location. Though it is accessible from pretty much any parking lot in the town center.

Pulled pork was excellent, great breakfast option. Definitely worth checking out on a trip to Westbrook.

Passing up the gigantic breakfast buffet at the resort we were staying at, we came here for breakfast today on the recommendation of our dinner waiter (who is a local). Holy cow, what a place. It was hopping! We squeezed in at the counter which was prime viewing to watch the chef, Lucas, work his magic. It was a cross between Top Chef and NASCAR. In that tiny space he was cranking it all out: fluffy pancakes, the best home fries I ever ate, fritattas, creps and eggs of all kinds. I opted for the lobster Benedict, done with giant chunks of fresh lobster meat sautéed with fresh spinach and with a perfectly poached egg, while hubby had the amazing hash + eggs. Lucas made sure everyone felt as welcomed as a regular. We will absolutely be back, even if it's out of the way because it's THAT GOOD.

Definitely a hidden gem. We had planned to try another nearby spot for Sunday breakfast/brunch but they had a long wait and I had peeked at the menu here and the crepes sounded amazing. I was not disappointed the Lobster Crepe was to die for. Loaded with lobster, goat cheese and spinach and the sauce omg I ate every bite.
My husband got the woody omelete which was corned beef hash and cheese. The corned beef was excellent.
We sat at the counter and chatted up a few regulars. It was like breakfast and a show watching the chef and sous chef knock out dishes with precision and ease. They were a well oiled machine and I'm looking forward to going back.

What a fun, fabulous place! It’s not fancy and… the service is great and the food is delicious and you get to watch the chef cook-which to me was completely entertaining!!!

Came to the area for a wedding, went here for brunch at about 1130am on a Saturday.
Very small cafe. We were seated at the counter and watched the two cooks make a very varied assortment of dishes.

I was so impressed with the presentation! I got berry stuffed French toast and it was amazing. The waitresses were pleasant and prompt, so were the cooks. It was super busy when we went in, but there wasn’t an unreasonable wait from order to food- those cooks and waitresses were going nonstop. Loved going here.

By far the best breakfast I've had in quite a while!! Coffee is strong, just the way I like it!! The environment feels vintage, like a true hometown dinner, but the staff and food are definitely far from that!! I can't forget to say, the staff waa great, and the chef was amazing. They all have great personality and are amazing to watch!! A must visit, and repeated return.

Talented cooks and best pulled pork I have ever had! Great local spot and friendly staff! Amazing specials for a cheap price. Hidden gem on the shoreline! Ricky and Lukas are a talented duo, prepare yourself for a meal and a show. Nice open line so you can see your food being cooked right in front of you. Hard working people pumping out fresh, creative meals! THIS IS A MUST TRY! Turtle Cafe is an absolute institution !

Always a great breakfast! Ricky is a pro and the food is always spot on! If there is a line, wait! It is always worth the wait. If they are available, try the lobster crepes! You will not be disappointed!

The Turtle Cafe is a treasure. We discovered it on-line looking for restaurants while visiting the area. It’s worth the drive if you’re in the area. The menu is very upscale with delicious sauces for several different dishes. It’s tiny and it’s almost like sitting at a chef’s table. The crepe and frittata options are varied and creative. The staff is friendly and welcoming. Olga went out of her to ensure a memorable experience. The owner chef Ricki is and very hands on and watching him confirms that cooking is his passion. We went for breakfast but wish we were here longer to try another part of the menu. Congratulations on a great dining experience

Small hole in the wall dinner, with great service, decent food, great price.
It is small and you eat next to the short order cook. It is great dinner food and the service is awesome. We have eaten here 1/2 dozen times, the last time I got biscuits and sausage gravy. It is actually sausage gravy, not that glue that is served by some under the name "sawmill " gravy. So that automatically puts them on my nice list. But it was a bit runny this time, tasted good, but could be thicker. I think one day I may start a complete list of ranked sausage gravy.
Stop by and have a nice bite. Great price. Just be prepared for a seating area of about 30 total.
