I never leave reviews but I am blown away by my experience with David McDermott Chevrolet and the service team. From the moment I stepped foot in the garage they were extremely helpful, explained everything to me and were extremely accommodating and courteous. This is my first time ever needing to bring my car in for any service or repairs which I explained to them as I was nervous about the process and the cost. They exceeded my expectations and went above and beyond to take care of myself and my vehicle. I am beyond appreciative to Nicole in the service department for all of her help throughout this. I am bringing my vehicle back in for another service because of this and will never go any where else unless need be. I 10/10 recommend the East Haven location and will refer to my friends and family. Thank you.

Had a phenomenal experience with David W. at McDermott! When you go in make sure you ask for him. He guided us through the buying process with great communication and understanding of our needs. He made some great recommendations and helped us choose a great car! You need to ask for David. You won’t regret it.

The crew including Jeff and Brandon, went above and beyond to provide an enjoyable experience, including giving us rides when the vehicle was read for pickup. They also did not use annoying or deceptive sales practices, or harassing phone calls. Overall great place to by a car 10/10 recommend

I am soooo HAPPY I went to this dealership to get my car. Not only did they have a very specific model I needed, but Brandon W made the experience of purchasing the car an absolute pleasure. Despite the fact it was pouring out, Brandon made sure our experience a Sunny day. We went for a great little test drive, he showed me how to work the hood, screwed on my new license plate and more. Doing all of this while having buckets of water dumped on his head but still maintaining a fun spirit and bright smile. He totally disregarded his own comfort and nice dress clothes, knowing full well that he would be soggy for the rest of his work day.
Brandon also followed through on getting me a fresh NEW set of tires. I'm sure this was no easy task. I assume there wasn't much wiggle room for him at all. Despite that, saftey was his priority and now my 2018 Honda Civic 6 speed sits wonderfully on top of four Goodyear all season tires that are BRANDON NEW. What a pleasure doing business with them. Ralph Santabarbara was our sales contact and he listened...really listened to our tales of dealing with some unsavory dealerships prior to going there. He was a perfect gentlemen....no pressure to buy unnecessary extras. No pressure to finance, or punitive fees for not. We found a perfect vehicle, took it to our mechanic to get checked out...and even our mechanic said that this dealership "does not play games.". I went in to look at a used vehicle. After a pre-purchase inspection and test drive, we were able to come to a mutually agreeable deal in less than 15 minutes. My Sales person, Paul Gavigan, was great. He helped my boyfriend a few months ago with a car purchase so we came back to him when I was ready to buy a car. He was knowledgable, not pushy, and ultimately was able to find me the SUV I wanted with the right features and color. They found it and I love my new car.

The service rep was pleasant and helpful. He was honest with me that things may take longer than expected (I needed to add on a "funny noise" diagnosis to my oil change). But he got my car in, oil changed and a diagnosis done within a few hours. Part is being ordered and Ill come back in when its ready to be fixed.

Tom Rowe and the finance manager are a national treasure and must be protected at all costs. From start to finish 5 star service.

Had a great experience at McDermott, David W. Was my salesman and took care of business. I could tell David cares about his customers, and he set me up well. First time buying a car from a dealer and David took his time to explain how everything works.

We went to McDermott Chevrolet just to take a look around. We found a Cadillac we fell in love with. Our sales person was Luis and he was AMAZING. From the first time I talked on the phone with him to the paperwork, he was extremely thorough. He even came out to our home a few towns over to fix an error with the paperwork so we wouldn’t have to go back out to East Haven. My husband and I were so impressed. I’ve had a great experience with McDermott Chevrolet. I bought a car from salesman, Tom Rowe in 2012 and went back to see him again in 2023. He made my first experience a good one and I wanted to show him that I appreciated his efforts back then and bought my next vehicle specifically from him. I could have gone to another dealership but didn’t because of Tom Rowe.
