I traveled in on business out of Illinois and saw some good reviews on this place as a searched for a meal since I'd be spending the night in the area. Chose Lenny and Joe's and was not disappointed. Had the lobster bisque 1st and it was excellent. Next I had the fish tacos and they were scrumptious. Chose to have my lobster roll served last and it was filled with buttery delicious sweet lobster that was cooked to perfection. I will certainly try this place again when in the area because they have plenty other dishes that I would love to try. Everything I had was exceptional, and my waitress was so nice and checked on me more times than I could count. She went above and beyond to make sure I was satisfied. I really appreciate that. This place was hopping. Service attentive and friendly. Fresh warm rye bread with caraway seeds. Josh cabernet pour was heavy (thank you). Broiled scallops plate, under 600 calories and delicious. Scallops sooo tender. Fried clam with bellies, fries and coleslaw sweet, tender, plentiful.
Love this place.

Visiting from the East Coast of Florida, so we are accustomed to fresh seafood. Lenny & Joe's did not disappoint. The oysters were delicious, as was the lobster roll and crab roll. And the onion rings were the best we've had in a long time! Would definitely recommend!

My wife and I stopped here for a quick lunch. We both had the fish and chips. The haddock was done perfectly. The service was excellent, quick and attentive.

Still the place for great seafood. The scallops, lobster roll, lobster bisque and clams were perfectly prepared and flavorful. There are a couple good locally brewed beers on tap too.

Very good and fast service and the lobster roll were amazing! Drove 2 hours and it was worth it!

I wish I could give Lenny & Joe's 10 stars! I LOVE Lenny & Joe's. I now live out of state & can not get fresh seafood that I like (cod & scrod). EVERY time I come home to Connecticut, I ALWAYS make my 1st & last stop. YES, I stop here 2 times more if I can LOL. Thank you Lenny & Joe's for being the BEST restaurant in the WORLD!

Best cocktail shrimp. Warm crab rolls, boiled whole potatoes !!! Great service too.

Everyone loved their cocktail shrimp and raw bar clams. Lobster rolls and warm crab rolls were the BEST in Connecticut! Pete is a fantastic and friendly bartender. Give him a bonus and a raise!!

I had a great experience, thank you Lenny & Joe's. Finally got to try fish tacos and they were fantastic. Loved the sauce! Prices were great, and plenty of onion rings considering it was just a side. Definitely enjoyed it, would go again and again.

Great Fresh seafood and great friendly service! I've been coming to this location and the Madison location since I was born! Had the fried Oyster roll and a cup of lobster bisque soup this time both were very fresh and delicious!

Always great food and service. They never disappoint. Best fried food around. Always lite and fresh. Their broiled fish is great too! Something for everyone. Can't go wrong.

We were seated promptly. We didn't feel rushed to choose & enjoyed our meal. Food was great & there was plenty to eat. We'll definitely go back when we're in the area.

Excellent. The charbroiled swordfish was fantastic. Great sized portion. Sides were fantastic too. The fried foods were lightly battered so not heavy or greasy.

The food here was very bland. I ordered the fried scallops and potatoes. The servings of tartar sauce were extremely small and we had to keep asking for more along with asking for more refills as well. Our waitress was at the table maybe twice to take our order and to come back after we flagged her down for more drinks. The restaurant was bustling and was very clean our waitress even though we didn't see much of her was very sweet. I don't think anytime soon I'll be going back to this restaurant or recommending it to any friends as my meal service was very sub par.

Big update from my last review. They reached out to me and offered me a gift card in lieu of my not so great experience. This time around I ordered something different.
I ordered the salmon and it was amazing serving size was awesome it was busy and our waitress was extremely friendly and definitely came back to check on us. I will definitely be revisiting I must have just caught an off day thank you Lenny and Joe's for reaching out to me. I will definitely be going back please check out this local staple in the community. It's also a community run restaurant which is awesome support small businesses all the way

Super low-key place for great seafood. Recommend the hot buttered lobster (with a side of mayo!!) and crabcake.

Had never been to this location before. Very different feeling from the Madison location with a broader menu and nice bar. The Rhode Island Chowder and steamers were both delicious. Excellent and very friendly service. Fried scallops were cooked to perfection and the salmon was also spectacular.

Quick service, plenty of parking, friendly waitress and delicious fried scallops and clams. The bread is homemade and excellent!

Love this place! Have been coming here for close to 30 years! Portions are large & food is always consistent. 🥰

I have been in town with Lenny and Joe's and watch to change for the last 30 plus years. Most of the changes are good. Kids love the carousel and ordering and payment has been streamlined. What has been lost is the small-time Clam Shack feel. The food has not suffered. The soups and chowders are great. It's probably just nostalgia but something just doesn't feel the same. Still highly recommended

Clean, warm, comfortable atmosphere with delicious, fresh food! An incredibly friendly staff, from the host Lindsey to our awsome waitresses Shirley who was so patient, informative and attentive to our hungry needs. We would highly recommend to friends and family and can't waIt to go back!!!
