South Lane Bistro has been our favorite Shoreline restaurant since it opened!
We feel like family the minute we step in the door. We are immediately greeted by their friendly staff, and two of the owners, Ariel and Walter, always make a point to come over to our table, no matter how busy they are! The coastal barn atmosphere is an integral a part of the warm, relaxed vibe this restaurant offers! South Lane is a mandatory visit when our adult children come into town because it's everybody's favorite! We love their burgers (with a Thimble Island beer!), but we're also partial to their seafood specials and Super Kale Salad. One of our children has celiac, and the staff and kitchen work together to provide many gluten free options- which we also greatly appreciate.

Recently went there and got the south lane sliders, on the way out I met with one of the chiefs David. Truly a kind soul and I was grateful off the food highly recommend. Have to try the south lane sliders.

One of my favorite local spots. Delicious food, great atmosphere. It's tiny, so call ahead before bringing a crowd.

Every single meal has been phenomenal each & every time we are here which is 1-4x month ! Service is top notch - love the cozy eclectic & elegant but down to earth music, ambiance & service! Specials & menu items are always delicious. Drinks are great - dessert & coffee to finish are excellent & homemade - highly recommend ! You won’t be disappointed - wines & beers & limited drink specials are never disappointing. Lavender lemon drop martinis are 12/10!!

We enjoyed the food at South Lane Bistro. We were seated at the patio and our server was nice and friendly.

First time but definitely not last time at this cozy bistro. Rosie our waitress was a delight and polite. Nicely selected menu and well executed and balanced menu and perfectly portioned plates for my diet. Short in size but large in quality and intimacy.

My favorite place to eat in Guilford. The menu changes by the season a bit always new good things to try. The owner and staff are friendly the quality is great. I love the cheese burger and fries. Their salads are fresh and filling. Great desert options. Beer and wine. Love this place !

I love cafe routier. They have a very unique menu where every 4 months they change the menu. They have a section for a seasonal menu and a section for an international region. It's amazing to experience unique dishes and the chef's creativity. They keep staple items on the menu like steak frites, tuna tartare, and their homemade french fries which are a must have.

Our in-town go-to spot for a great comfort meal. We regularly get take-out from South Lane, but also love dining in (whether on the patio or indoors). Always hard to choose what to get because we have so many favorites. The specials are always great, too! Good wine list. Don't miss the sweet potato frites with aioli! Staff always warm and welcoming. A true Guilford gem.

I love this place and have been there 20 times or so in the last couple years. They concentrate on a great, continental dishes with a little bit of a Pub twist to it. They have a simple menu. Have had the Fish Tacos, Pork Chop, NY Strip, and Tuna options - always a great cut. But I have to say, the appetizers are really special too....there they go a little international - remember battling our kids for the ribs app...also the guacamole app...delicious. Finally, they have a waitress - who studied at the Hen and Heiffer and she makes the most AMAZING - desserts with a little french twist on them. Give it a try...you'll love it. It's worth it.

Great service first and foremost!
The food was great ...best burger on this side of town and the Korean rib tips goes great with the local ale. The staff was very friendly and accommodating.

Everything was quite good! Very busy, but we had gotten taken care of well. Besides the regular menu, they now offer specials and the food is so good and pleasing to the eye.

This place has aged like a great wine. Better with time and management. The specials are creative and extremely tasty. Had the scallops with candied pecan couscous last time I was there-yum.

A favorite never disappoints! Only wish they had liquor for a martini :-) but will still give them 5 stars! Chopped salad and family favorite including our 10 and 8 year old!

Fantastic, much needed addition to Guilford! We've been there a few times & have never been disappointed. Everything we've tried has been delicious!

A small space, so don't go at prime time & expect to be seated immediately. The service is excellent, the owners very warm & welcoming.

Small but cozy..Nice feel to the place. Food was very good. Only serve wine & beer..not a full bar however the choices they offered were great! Service was excellent..the bartender kalene was very helpful and on the ball.

100% sound and reliable place for dinner! You can never go wrong here. Every aspect of the dinning experience is wonderful. Servers, food, ambience, drinks etc. Love it here!

Cute little bistro with amazing food and delicious wine. The deck space is heated when it's chilly and there are blankets. Get the carrot cake... it was perfect!
