Bellissimo Bar+Restaurant

This place is understated from the outside but incredibly designed as well as cozy on the inside. Immaculately clean, quiet and comfortable atmosphere, and a staff that was equally dedicated to giving myself and my two friends excellent service as they were making sure all of the other guests were taken care of. Even the other patrons were friendly! But above ALL of that, the food was incomparably delicious. It didn't taste like restaurant food, it tasted like Home Made food. Also important to note the portions are Quite generous, so be ready to take home leftovers. Sadly was too full to get dessert. This is my top tier first choice for pasta and pizza from now on! I wish we can show on the outside how gorgeous and comfy this place is on the inside. You can tell that the owners spent a lot of time in dedicating themselves to the small details of a restaurant.

I went in and the host/server was just a doll. He was very attentive and asked me if I wanted something specific on the television. I put on my headphones and was reading, brought my own wine and ordered a large pie while watching the game and listening to music.

The pie was excellent. It was one of the top five I've ever had. And I work in New York City and have had top pie in New Haven. The atmosphere was just right for the game that I wanted to watch. They allowed me to bring my own wine which was a plus.

In addition their prices are very reasonable. And I wish I would have come here sooner!!!

We love this family owned restaurant!!! Their calzones and Philly cheesesteaks grinders are the best in town! The service is friendly. Delivery orders arrive quickly and hot. Highly recommend Bellisimo’s!!!

I’ve been here for lunch and dinner and I haven’t had a disappointing meal. Totally love they’re lobster bisque soup, must be made from scratch. They’re grinders I’ve enjoyed several very good. The pre meal bread with garlic oil is amazing. I could keep going, plan to keep coming back

Wonderful service. Me and a couple of my buddies decided to eat pizza in.. was great and we met a local gentleman that was enjoying class over pasta white sauce..looked fabulous..can't wait to try there dimmer menu..

We go to this restaurant, to enjoy a meal called Rigatoni Flaka, with Shrimp and hot cherry peppers, Normally we get one order and share, this time we got 2 , so delish! And owner Flaka and her brother are delightful! Pat and Mike!!!

I have not been here in many years. In fact they were down the road on Rubber ave the last time I had them only because I don’t live around the area anymore but I stopped in today and got my old go to. It’s as good as I remember maybe even better. I was super satisfied and would recommend this establishment to everyone. Very fair prices and great staff. Keep up the good work. 👍 🍕

I've only had the lamb chop, twice. It's unbelievably delicious. I've refrained from licking the plate on both occasions. No guarantees the next. Highly recommend

So many hidden secrets...so little time...

Wonderful family owned & run restaurant. I usually have my house salad with grilled chicken which is perfect every time but last night my fiance ordered " From the Grill" shrimp. It was so fantastic that we both ordered it for dinner tonight and it did not disappoint! Absolutely delicious. Served with yummy mashed potatoes or pasta and a beautiful fresh salad. Definately our new favorite!

Absolutely wonderful experience! The appetizers were spot on, their sauce was amazing, and good solid pizza pies. Even our water was delicious with ice & lemon. To top it all off, our waitress was kind, attentive, and efficient. The entire experience was amazing! My daughters and I will certainly return.

I thought this place was beautiful, and atmosphere was great, I think it's my favorite.

We had catering for my daughter’s shower delivered and it simply delicious. 3 trays eggplant parm, fusilli with broccoli and the chicken fran with the Caesar salad and home made bread was more than enough for our 20+ party. Everyone had leftovers. I highly recommend this restaurant and will use again for our family parties!! Well done and thank you!!

Quick delivery. Very pleasant staff patient on the phone with me even though my service sucked. Amazing house salad with breaded chicken. Also got a large meatball and onion extra cheese they def gave us what we paid for lol. Great job guys. Will def stop in next time I'm in the area.

I first came across this restaurant when my daughter was sick and only wanted to eat clam chowder on a rainy Sunday night- they were open and had it. I placed the order over the phone and when I arrived the young man at the counter was so polite and kind- I was very impressed with his service. My daughter loved it. About a month later I placed an order for dinner- the food was plentiful, tasty and hot. I highly recommend Bellissimo!

The dining area is not open. Take out only. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. The soup and salad portion was very small but the dinner portion was good.

Awesome Food! Having moved from Long Island, there are certain expectations I have from a Pizza Place. I take nothing away from CT Pizza, but its not necessarily what I grew up with. Bellissimo's however hits the mark! The food is excellent and NOBODY makes Broccoli Raab like they do! (Now I am hungry) Pizza is always good, quality is consistent and they even remember to let the steam out of the french fry containers so they don't get soggy during transport. (That is a Pro-Tip right there) Prices have climbed a bit lately, I guess that is to be expected these days, but other than that this is a great place for good food!

I found this Naugatuck gem during the great lockdown of 2020 having an occasional pizza delivered. It wasn't until late 2021 that I actually went inside. What I found was an extraordinarily charming restaurant, I believe family owned, with the absolute best meals!! I have since graduated from pizza, always delicious, to trying other menu items and NEVER once disappointed!! Highly recommend this consistently great food, always pleasant staffed Naugatuck gem!
