Longley's Restaurant (formerly Allegra's)

Our first time here and it will be a staple for us. Absolutely amazing. I had the Chicken Italiano with chicken, prosciutto, balsamic glaze and bruschetta~the flavor combination is outstanding. He had the ahi tuna, fried shrimp & fried steak tacos. The tuna was so fresh, the shrimp was amazing as well as the steak. Highly recommend this place.

We Loved the entertainment, everyone really friendly. Is like hanging out with families you never new you had. We had a awsome time.

Everything was excellent! Food, drinks, atmosphere - and 5-star service. We had New England clam chowder, crab cakes, goat cheese and green apple salad, and prime rib sandwich- everyone was very impressed! My grandparents were very pleased, so that’s saying a lot!

This place is crazy good. I came from Minnesota, and I stopped here with a friend and we were surprised by the hospitality, the food and outstanding service.

For one, I think this place is entirely under-rated, in my humble opinion. The food is outstanding and the service is even better. Every bartender is personable and attentive. The crowd is diverse in many ways, which make for an outstanding atmosphere and conversation. I'm one of those 'quasi-regulars' that pops in every couple months...and every time I do, I wonder why I don't frequent Allegra's more often.

We were there mid afternoon and were the only diners at the time. Staff was very nice and the food was excellent. If I am ever in East Haven again I would definitely eat here again.

Food is awesome, as is the service… and my family is in the restaurant business. Hand cut fries are the best I’ve ever had. Blacken chicken wrap was a 10! Great band playing to top it all off. Highly, highly, highly recommend coming here. You will not be disappointed. Even the pickle that came with my wrap was great - crisp and had a beautiful color. That’s how much they care. The attention to detail was impressive to say the least.

Owner Paul was so very nice, Welcomed me with such warmth. My first time there with a dear friend, and so worth the drive from Wolcott. Next visit will be for fine dining and drinks!

Stopped for a pre mother's day lunch. Staff as friendly and inviting as can be, we were welcomed like family. Food was some of the best I've had. My son rated the prime rib French onion soup as the best he has ever had in a restaurant. Mom got an old school patty melt, which was very good. French fries hand cut daily, and it shows. My wife loved her baked Mac n cheese, so creamy and delish! And I had the fried squash flowers, something seldom seen on a menu, these were so good, your to tongue will beat your brains out trying to get more. It's a different approach than I've ever had with squash flowers, but sooooooo worth doing again! Thank you, Allegra, for an outstanding lunch!

We stumbled upon this Cafe by accident, just looking for a place to eat quick. We were surely not disappointed! Paul was amazing! Great server, great guy, great manners and conversation! We are from the northwest hills, just took a quick trip down to the coast and we already can't wait to make the trip back. The food was amazing! So FRESH and delicious. Clean place, great atmosphere and nice employees! This was a fantastic stop. Definitely come check this place out, you won't regret it!

Literally love everything about this place! The people, the environment, the food, nothing bad to say at all. Amazing new menu!!! So many options, they make sure you get the best of the best! So many homemade options!! The drinks are also super quick and you are never jipped on the alcohol. And the bartenders are the best anywhere! Bill and Paul, seriously the best people. Always make sure you're having a good time and that everything is how you wanted it. You have to make this your regular place!! You want regret it!!!

Had a party for my girlfriends 30th birthday over the weekend. Paulie and his staff were great and accommodating. Ordered several appetizers and the food was awesome thanks to chef Crispy and her team. I highly recommend coming here for lunch, dinner, private events or catering for your next visit!

Excellent lunch! Goat cheese and green apple salad was unique, fresh and delicious! Plenty of outdoor seating with heaters too! Will definitely go back and will recommend to friends.
