Dalton's

This small Italian restaurant in a non-descript strip plaza is a hidden gem. The portions were appropriate - filling enough to take some home without being "too much" - and the flavors are delicious! Their Linguini Dalton was the best seafood linguine I've had, the Chicken Parm was excellent, and the Calamari was perfectly tender. We will definitely be back any time we want Italian!

UPDATE: We came back and we were blown away! This time, we ordered appetizers of Grilled Octopus and Sausage & Kale, and an entree of Veal Limone. All of it was amazing, as were the martinis we enjoyed! We followed it all up with their pumpkin cheesecake dessert for a perfectly decadent finale. Dalton's delivers on excellent food once again for a mose delicious night out!

What's there Not to like. A local joint with fantastic food and a wonderful staff. Just go. But make reservations, it may get crowded for dinner.

Not sure why but we hadn't been here in years. Last night's dinner was fantastic in terms of the staff, the food, the service, the environment, everything. Definitely will be back on a more regular basis. Cannot recommend the food quality enough.

We dine at Daltons on a monthly basis; the staff is attentive and the ambience is always clean and cozy. The food is expertly prepared and always delicious. Their specials are creative and always delicious with portions large enough for leftovers.

My favorite dish is their Pork Chop Siciliano which is a large juicy pork chop bathed in a spicy broth of wine, red/cherry peppers, marinara, onions and mushrooms with diced potatoes....It's nice and spicy!

Reservations recommended!

Great night and greater food. Salmon is the way to go. Let the tomato sauce do it's thing. Better than expected.
Tara took care of us and was the perfect personality for our soft birthday celebration.
Looking forward to a repeat of all next time.

Excellent food. Very old school Italian but they keep it current as well. Staff are great. A bit pricy but serving sizes are large so you get lunch the next day as well.

A great spot! I ordered the meatball salad on arugula and it was delicious, my husband had the sausage and meatballs and it was great as well. A great place to meet friends or just grab a great dinner at the bar. The bread and the garlic spread is amazing and addictive!!

Fantastic restaurant. Food is 10/10, Ambiance, 9/10, Service 10/10... Have been here many times and have never had a bad meal. All friends we have taken here, have absolutely loved it.

First time here, but we have eaten at their other restaurant Ludal's in North Haven so we had a good idea it would be good. We were not disapointed. The hot appetizer combo (eggplant rolotini, calamari & classic casino) and it was amazing. We both had a steak dish and both were cooked perfectly and very large. The sides were just as good. I highly recommend Dalton's. I recommend making a reservation because the restaurant is not huge and it fills up fast. UPDATE: Now a regular at Dalton's and everything is worth ordering. Kieth, the head waiter is always on top of everything.

This place is amazing! It was my first visit and I'll definitely be back. My wife and I each had two drinks, an appetizer and a main dinner dish and our total bill was under $100. We frequent a few fine dining establishments in Madison, Killingworth and New Haven. This was every bit as good. Yeah it may not have the atmosphere on the outside being on Rt.80 but once you get inside it's a completely different ballgame. The complimentary home made bread and dipping sauce is the bomb!

Made reservations and we received our table promptly. The dinner was excellent. Service was very good. Was not rushed to leave. We will return again. We will give Daltons 4 stars.

The food was excellent and staff was super friendly and attentive. The Pasta Bolognese is excellent! They must cook the sauce all day! ❤
