Excellent service, food, ambiance. The bands are alot of fun, such as Dave and Renee, The Valente Brothers, and Tre Paul.

If you like New Haven style thin crust pizza, then this is the place to go. Compared to a lot of Italian restaurants that I’ve visited, this place makes the best penne alla vodka around. Diners portions are very generous. Great entertainment on weekends. Nice place to eat, kick back and enjoy!

Gem of Washington ave! The owners really gave the location the restaurant it deserved. The place is clean, well managed, and has a good classic bar restaurant atmosphere. The tap menu isn’t anything special but they have the right local beers on tap. The menu is good and thin crust pizza come pretty close to New Haven’s best. The bar snack of fried spaghetti is a fun snack to munch on at the bar

It's always a pleasure eating at the bar. The food and the service is fantastic. I highly recommend the lasagna dinner. And the pizzas are to die for. I would highly recommend The Bar .

My friends and I had a wonderful evening at the Bar. The food was very good, great variety to choose from but what I loved most of all was the Ladies nite Special. What a great deal. A glass of wine, appetizers, I chose eggplant rollitini, entree, I chose chicken franchise, and a delicious brownie with fudge and whipped cream for dessert. All for $28.99. Great time and so good. Will b going back!

I absolutely love the gluten free pizza! The clam pizza is by far one of the best.. Not to mention the stuffed breads, definitely stuffed! The Bar is definitely my go to for take out.

We love this restaurant. Creative drinks are made right the first time. Menu is simple but the food quality is wonderful. Pizza sauce and pasta sauce don't taste the same - my mom created different marinara sauces for each and it tastes like The Bar does, too. Always an enjoyable dinner, and the portions are big enough that we always have leftovers. Any time we've brought friends, they've agreed on all counts.

Some of the best pizza I have had in a long time. The had the mashed potato pizza, and it was out of this world. The service was very good, and the drinks were fantastic.

Went there on a Monday with coworkers and there was only one waitress, she did an amazing job and I can’t remember her name but thank you so much for being social and attentive! The food and drinks were good! It sorta looks like a hole in the wall but the food was amazing especially the fried calamari! Definitely will be returning!

Friendly service, had the eggplant parm dinner and it was a huge portion and delicious!! Have had pizza here as well and always good! Great place.

It has become a favorite of mine in a short time. I was a previous owner of a pizzeria, so I know my pizza . This is perhaps the best pizza I've had since moving to Connecticut twelve years ago. The service is great and the mature crowd that goes there makes it a lot of fun. Recommend it for everyone.

Absolutely loved this place & wish I lived closer or had one near me!!! I was playing in a women's soccer tournament in this area & one of my teammates picked this restaurant for dinner. I admit I was somewhat skeptical about going to a place called "the bar" for dinner! Boy was I ever pleasantly surprised!! The food was exceptional, and the bartender (we sat at the tables by the bar) was the best!! She was super helpful, patient as we walked in as a very large group w/o reservations, and had a wonderful demeanor! I'm Italian and tend to be somewhat picky when it comes to Italian food, but their pastas were awesome, their bread before the meal was to die for, and even their little cannolis were better than ones I've had in both Boston's north end or providence's federal hill!!! -I almost feel blasphemous saying that but it really is true!! I wish I had bought more to take home with me! I'm just so sad that we don't have a restaurant like this one near me. So if you're anywhere in the vicinity of North Haven CT, I highly recommend that you stop here for dinner!

First experience here. Ordered the buffalo chicken pizza, blue cheese on the side; it was amazing. Really nice thin & crispy crust, all white meat chicken, really nice spice and flavor all around. Will be back to try more pizza for sure.

Very cute place run by a nice family. I went to pick up my pizza but it was still in the oven so they offered me garlic knots and a fountain soda on the house while I waited which was very kind. And the garlic knots were delicious! The pizza is good too.

Excellent pizza. Exceptional service. Affordable price. The Bar is consistently great. Can accommodate large parties but I would call ahead. Parties of 4 or less have a short wait if any even Friday and Saturday night. Don't be afraid to try their specialty pizza's like Mike's. You can't go wrong.
