Shocked how fresh and enjoyable the food was. Makes me think what was I eating before from those other places. I travel a lot for work so Chinese is either a hit or miss but surprisingly this was good. Will definitely be back if in the area

All the staff was friendly and helpful, the chicken wings were really crispy and perfectly seasoned and their beef and broccoli was some of the most tender I've ever had.

This Chinese food spot is hands down the best!!! Every time I order from them late at night I get really hot fresh food!!!! Ya straight fire!!! And they put all the extras without me asking. I only tipped $5 I’m really sorry if I knew it was so good I would of given $10. Thank you for the amazing food!!!!

I have tried many Chinese restaurants, and this one is by far the 👌🏽 best.

Love this place. It's my go to Chinese place. They're ALWAYS busy and it's truly because it's great food at a fantastic price. I could feed 4 people with apps for $50. I usually get the sweet and sour chicken or the pork with Chinese vegetables. The boneless spare ribs are out of this world good too. Can't go wrong here. Just make sure you give ample time for pick up or delivery. 20 minutes often means closer to 30, and delivery usually takes an hour on the weekends. Totally worth it though if you plan accordingly. The husband/wife duo who run it are also super sweet and run a tight ship there. It's always fun to watch them interact while you wait.

Hadn't ordered from here in years cause the last time the food was blah. But I heard it was much better and I decided to give it another shot. It's improved a lot. Very good flavors. Loved the wonton soup!

So I called this place 15 minutes or so before closing and they willingly took my order and agreed to deliver to Branford! Please & thank you!!! 😃😃

Our delivery guy was so nice which is always a great treat!!! The food was hot and absolutely delicious. We ordered sweet and sour chicken and boneless spareribs with pork fried rice ! The egg rolls were freaking delicious too. We will definitely be back!

Hands down the best lo mein I've ever had! So flavorful and tons of meat and veggies. Both the small and large orders are a great value absolutly jam packed with noodles. Everything else ive tried is delicious too but im a lo mein junkie ;)

The food was very good and fresh. Neatly placed in a box and delivered quickly by a polite person. Definitely will go back to this restaurant.

Honestly if your looking for pretty quick delivery or pick up you might want to just be patient they are always busy and for good reason. With just about the best Chinese food you can get I would suggest China star. I usually get the Chicken Lo Mein with BBQ boneless spare ribs or Beef Teriyaki strips and I just die eating it its so good.. I've been coming here for years and I mean probably about 10-15 years I've gotten food from here and it never disappoints. And for the price you really can't beat it. 100% recommend and suggest you eat here. I would say if you have to order on the weekends make sure you order about an hour before you originally planned as it will be super busy.

I haven’t had the pleasure of trying everything on the menu yet, however! Everything I have tried so far (always something new) I absolutely love. I had heard good reviews about the place for a while so I finally decided to check it out for myself and they do not disappoint! I would definitely recommend this place to someone looking for fresh, delicious Chinese food.

Best of the little American Chinese places in east haven. Perfect when you get that craving for sweet and sour pork.

This place was great! We got general tsos, broccoli chicken, chicken teriyaki, and crab Rangoon’s. It took a little longer than we expected on a Tuesday night, but the food more than made up for it. Will definitely order from here again

A coworker of mine put me onto this place, and it's my go-to when I'm craving Chinese. The food is always good, regardless of what I order (like those extra well done boneless spare ribs --BOMB). ANDD they deliver to Branford. Great place!

Best Chinese restaurant!! Food is delicious and they give great portions. Once Covid-19 hit they took time to adapt and now have glass up and all employees wear masks. Love this place!

Our regular Chinese place was closed so we tried Star & boy was it good. Might need to switch. Positions are huge & taste was great
