We’ve been members of joint effort since October and we are enjoying it so much. The care that Morgan and Jenny are giving my mother who is 96 and my husband and I for our guided exercise is above and beyond what we expected I would recommend this to, anyone looking for community exercise and attention to detail.

If you are looking for a fitness facility where there is excellent oversight and guidance throughout your training then this is the place to go. The staff are well trained exercise physiologists who evaluate each client individually and develop a program to fit their needs, safety, goals and ability. This program is continually adjusted to meet the fitness and personal needs of each client. If you have the desire to improve your overall health, mental and physical please give Joint Effort a try. I love going and feel stronger and healthier. So far I am able to continue my active lifestyle with pleasure and enjoyment. Very thankful for this program, owner and staff members!

I joined Joint Effort back in March of 2014. it is the first gym that I have enjoyed going to. I still look forward to going to it as much now, as I did almost 10 years ago. The people are friendly and the instructors are thorough in helping you to get to your goals. And most important for me is they’re there to help and correct you if you’re not doing it the right way which is something I never encountered with the larger gyms. I have always told friends and others how much I enjoy going there.

Joint Effort is my saving grace! George & his staff are exceptional! They are knowledgeable and experienced! The programs that they write for me and guide me through have greatly improved my health (strength, balance, range of motion as well as my breathing)! I feel amazing and wake up every morning to very little pain to no pain what so ever! Joint Effort continues to help me live my best life every day!

Joint Effort has been an amazing, positive addition to my life. As a member almost from the start, I appreciate the thoughtful personal attention from all the trainers, the collegial climate among all members, the social aspect of exercise that makes it more appealing and most of all the positive gains I have made over the years in strength, mobility and confidence. The entire staff is knowledgeable, caring and professional. I highly recommend this to all those over 50 who want a personal experience to improve and maintain their mobility, strength and balance .

This guided exercise program has greatly improved my physical and social life! The improvement in my balance has been miraculous, I am able to bring wood logs in for the fireplace with greater ease, all over general improvement in posture and I really look forward to being with people in the same age bracket all working to improve their health. The staff is always keeping their eyes on you , making adjustments to your form or program and are so engaging, caring and friendly. I’ve never heard anyone rave about their exercise program like I do about mine! Go Joint Effort!

Joint Effort has been a Godsend to me-before and after my spine surgery. I love the individual programs designed for each member. The staff is warm and friendly, knowledgeable, and very attentive. I LOVE Joint Effort! I can't stop talking about it to all my friends and relatives. I adore the atmosphere there, the way the exercise physiologists make it fun and how they watch out to make sure we're not working out in a way that's going to cause damage to ourselves (I was always hurting myself when I worked out at other gyms!). I love how they seem happy to be there, how available they are to answer questions or to have conversations. I love the clientele--such friendly people all there to get strong and stay fit. And mostly I love how I see my level of fitness improving, and how much easier the exercises get as I do them more often. The place is well-lit and clean, the music is fun, and there's just a low hum of people laughing and talking and making friends.

I detest gyms but I LOVE Joint Effort. The staff really know their stuff and the clients are friendly and interesting. The setup (in a circle) of the cardio machines allows conversation that makes the time fly by. I enjoy my workouts and have made great strides so this be venue is effective as well as fun.

I have enjoyed working out at Joint Effort in Niantic. Both Jenny and Morgan are well aware of your exercise plan and correcting you if you are doing the exercise incorrectly. They are kind and accommodating when you need to change your time slot. I have recommended the facility to many different people. It is well worth it; both physically and mentally in improving one’s outlook on their own health!

Joint Effort does a great job of welcoming new (over 55!) exercisers. Their model of about 8 people in the facility, with 3 excellent trainers, is highly motivating. And, to my surprise, fun!

It's easier to exercise at Joint Effort with people my age (50 years or older) than at a typical gym and it is actually enjoyable. The exercise plans create (and periodically revised) specifically for my needs have resulted in my regaining my balance, strength and flexibility. I've been going to Joint Effort for 5 years and have no plans to stop.

When Joint Effort in East Lyme was getting ready to open last year, I contacted George. He told me he could guarantee I would be feeling better in 2 to 3 weeks if I followed the program he would develop for me. He was right. In fact, he was so much so right, that I was then able to believe I actually could feel better and continued on. Now, months later, I am significantly stronger and balanced both physically and mentally.
Joint Effort offers not only a talented and supportive staff, but also safe, fun, and adaptable programs for me, you, and the friends we make there. We laugh a lot. We learn a lot. We grow. Check it out.

I joined Joint Effort right after it opened in Branford about nine or ten years ago.
It was one of the best decisions I ever made.
I am 81 years young and owe much of my being able to stay in shape due to the caring staff and helpfulness they each give. The 7:00AM group is the best there and we have a great time working out together.
Thanks to George, the owner, for having the insight and guts to start Joint Effort.

I've been a member of Joint Effort for many years now. My personalized exercise plan supports my goals of maintaining muscle mass, improving balance and flexibility. The staff is attentive and available throughout your exercise session to answer questions and demonstrate proper form. At 71 years old I am stronger and more flexible than I was 10 years ago!!

By far, best fitness center I've ever been a part of! Trainers are very knowledgeable and friendly, always providing needed coaching. (And they don't have their phones stuck in their faces!) Goals are individually set. Honestly, I love this place. I'm actually motivated to work out. Imagine THAT!

I love the Joint Effort gym in Branford and I go there 3 times a week for about an hour of aerobic, strength and balance. My initial evaluation was very thorough and staff constantly monitors my progress. The staff is friendly, well-trained and mindful of individual needs. They have a great community spirit and many of us walked as a group in the Branford Day Run/Walk.

Joint Effort is the greatest place to exercise for people over a certain age. To begin you have an appointment with an exercise physiologist, they take your medical/physical history and set up an exercise program just for you. You have a scheduled time and the exercise physiologists are there to make sure you are doing your exercises correctly and to answer any questions. The classes are small. The best exercise studio/gym I have ever been to.

One of the best decisions I have made, as I become older is to make sure to remain active. Saying goes if you don’t use it you will lose it. I firmly believe this. Joint Effort came into my life at a very opportune time. I have been very stagnant for a couple of years due to the Covid Epidemic. As the result, my muscles became weak, and my body in general was not able to do anywhere near what it was capable of doing prior to the Covid outbreak. Going back to Joint Effort which is a very professional supervised program for people over 55 has been by saving grace. the employees are extremely knowledgeable and extremely helpful. You are totally supervised and if at any point you are not doing the exercise correctly you will be corrected and shown the proper way to do it. This is why injuries could be avoided because you are supervised so regularly. I highly recommend Joint Effort. It’s very comforting to be in a group of your peers who are basically experiencing what happens to your body as you age. You are in the comfort of your own group of friends who support each other and share stories. Joint Effort is beyond a physical effort. It is an emotional and mental Exercise. Effort allows you to keep your mind and body sharp.
