This is worst plumber in the state. The owner (Anthony) took his own life and before that he punched a fire marshal in the face, has been fined by the state for not employing licensed plumbers and had a crimal record. To top it off, his wife sits on the front porch constantly chain smoking and scolding her son and daughter. The son is showing signs of serious aggression. An absolute disgrace to the community and to the plumbing trades. In no circumstance should you hire this company. Pray for the kids as they should be placed with a family who cares.

I have a warranty with American Home Shield and when they assigned TJ Plumbing I asked for a different company as I had a previous bad experience with them.
American Home Shield would not provide another company to replace and install my pool heater.
When I contacted TJ's they informed me that American Home Shield would not cover $575 in parts and the job could not start until TJ's received payment. After I sent the payment and before any work was initiated, I told AHS about TJ's charge and they told me they would just reimburse me for the pool heater and replacement and to tell TJ's to refund my money.
Tj's refused to refund the $575 -- despite not doing any work.
Fortunately my credit card company investigated the matter and credited my account for the full amount.
TJ Plumbing is a malevolent, greedy enterprise. They were spun off from Malangone Plumbing because Malangone had such a terrible reputation.
You can change the name but if you don't change the culture, it doesn't mean a thing.
You have been forewarned.

Malangone Plumbing was screened to my house by AHS (home warranty company) to fix a shower leak from the second floor master shower through a light on the ceiling of the first floor. The technician that showed up did not turn the water on, did not remove the diverter cover, and did not perform any other plumbing diagnostics other than ensure there was water in the trap. The plumber saw the state of grout and caulk in the shower and wrote on the invoice that there were no plumbing issues and that a licensed contractor was required to seal the shower floor. He was in the house for less than 5 min and I was charged the $95 service fee. I paid to have the shower sealed and the leak persisted. At this point I found several videos on U-tube on how to find a shower leak and within 15 minutes of trouble shooting and spending $20 at the hardware store, I determined the leak location. You guessed it the piping between the diverter and shower head. AHS sent the same company back to now fix what I had found. AND the plumbing company sent the same tech! I would never recommend this company and would strongly consider documenting everything that transpires if AHS sends them to your house.

I had a toilet leak. I Have an American Home Shield Warranty. This company is a contractor for AHS. I have an American Home Shield (AHS) Warranty. Malangone Plumbing is the plumbing contractor for them in CT. I called AHS to file a claim for a leaky toilet. The holding tank has developed a crack and is leaking. We have lived in the home 20 years this year. There have been no issues until now. The toilet is original. The home was built in 1957 - thus, the toilet is 56 years old! The determination from Malangone - after spending all of 5 minutes in my home with my wife - was that the crack was "not from normal wear and tear" and told my wife to go buy some caulk! My wife paid the $95 "service" fee and the man was gone. Flash back - The toilet is original. The home was built in 1957 - thus, the toilet is 56 years old! I asked for a determination regarding the crack - 10 days ago - and I've heard nothing! I would never use this company - with or without AHS involved. By the way, I am a Real Estate Broker with Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage. I operate the # office for Coldwell Banker in the U.S. Our company has over 2,000 agents in CT. Our company uses AHS and thus Malangone as a contractor. Guess what story will be getting out to my colleagues?

They are the most incompetent plumber I have ever dealt with in my life. They are in collusion with AHS to find that whatever caused the problem is not covered by AHS. They tried to blame my shower leak on the shower enclosure. When I pointed out that this was impossible because it still leaked when the door was open and the water stream was nowhere near the door, they then changed tactics and blamed scratches on my shower pan. They claimed they were cracks. It was clear they were scratches. Of course they refused to do water testing of my shower pan, to prove this. I called four other plumbers and they told me it's impossible to prove it's the shower pan without a water test. They are in collusion with AHS to try to find a problem that AHS does not have to repair.

Horrible service. Called AHS for a leaking fitting in my bath tube. They removed a fitting, causing another valve to start leaking. They returned once attempting to fix the leaking valve and failed. Returned again only to run off the premise. AHS and Malangone plumbing left me to deal with the problems they caused.

Called twice during business hours and had to leave a vmail. When I did reach someone, they said I MUST have called after hours (even though i offered to send them a screenshot of the exact times I placed the calls). These people have ZERO idea of what customer service is. I hope they take more pride in their work than they do in how they treat people over the phone.

I had an unfortunately similar experience to the other 1 star reviews. Referred by AHS warranty. Horrible response time. Rudest customer service I have ever dealt with. Can't believe this place is still in business
