Milford Animal Hospital

We are thankful to have found Milford Animal Hospital for our dog. Dr. Shutts and the other veterinarians on staff are professional, knowledgeable, and compassionate. The techs and secretaries are trained, kind and helpful. The administrator, Patty, is knowledgeable, loving, and welcoming. Patty makes you feel she will take care of your pet as if it were hers. She is a fantastic support system for everyone. Her love of animals is obvious and priceless.
Their prices are reasonable. They offer a program of vaccines for life which is great if you have a puppy. They also have a relationship with an online pharmacy with great prices.
If you want your pets in the hands of people who truly care this is your place.

Dr. Shutts and Phoebe were excellent when I brought my kitten Lexi in. They helped us with a treatment plan and our kitten is back to her normal self. I would highly recommend Milford Animal Hospital as best veterinary hospital.

We have used Milford Animal Hospital since moving to Connecticut to help care for our dog Chuggy.

There are not enough great words to say about this veterinarian, but I will certainly try to explain the best I can.

This hospital provides some of the best care I have ever experienced for our little fur baby. The staff is kind and attentive to our dogs’ needs and gives the best recommendations to help keep him happy and healthy.

Special shout out to Amy, who was able to keep Chuggy as calm as possible during our visit. Her patience and compassion helped sooth Chuggy while the vet clipped Chuggy’s nails. Normally he goes completely ham whenever we try to do this at home. Thank you so much for your excellent service and we apologize for Chuggy peeing on you.

The Veterinarian was very nice and helpful and answered all my questions about Brandy's intestinal issues. Everyone in the back and front office was helpful and friendly and paid attention to our little mini berner...made Brandy and I feel cared for and taken care of. Thank you.

Dr. Shutts is the best vet I've ever met. He is incredibly kind, caring, and compassionate. He takes the time to listen and truly cares about animals and their owners. The last few weeks of my dogs' lives, I was pretty much texting or calling him daily. He was so understanding and always took the time to respond. I never felt rushed or like my questions and concerns were a bother to him. You don't find care like that just anywhere! Highly recommend Dr. Shutts and the staff at Milford Animal Hospital. This will always be the place we bring our animals to!

We been using Milford Animal Hospital for 42 years, they have always been there for our pets with compassion and kindness.

If I could leave 20 stars I would!! After an awful experience with another vet for dental extractions we landed on the steps of Milord Animal Hospital. We have our regular vet (whom we love) but his office doesn’t provide dental procedures. One of our five dogs needed to have extensive dental work done. Our first visit with Dr. Sachar immediately put us at ease. He is kind, confident (not cocky), and he is gifted with an amazing bedside manner. Just genuinely a nice guy that knows his stuff! Today our 9 year old dog had his surgery. Dr. Sachar was in contact with me throughout the procedure. He was incredibly attentive. Everything went beautifully. What a fabulous experience. We also dealt with J to review what had been done and receive post op instructions. Again, confident and knowledgeable with a flawless bedside manner. I had made a mistake reporting a medication our dog was on and he caught it. My mistake could’ve caused our pup to become ill if it were not for J. As if all this were not enough the office staff were all friendly and responsive. We are forever grateful for how Michael and we were treated. Thank you a 100 times!! This is hands down one of the best veterinary experiences we have ever had!

Been with Milford Animal Hospital for nearly 25 years amongst 3 large breed dogs, 1 Black Lab and 2 Great Danes. We have always had a pleasant and happy staff. The Veterinarians are amazing, very caring and compassionate. Wouldn't go anywhere else unless emergent or off hours.

Dr. Shutts is a wonderful, caring and kind veterinarian. He was very good with Jasmine and her anxious behavior, did her physical exam and shots required. Also vet tech Ruth was amazing with helping keep Jasmine calm and safe for Dr. Shutts.

I love the vets at MAH , they always take such great care of my baby girl. The facility is always clean, the staff is extremely nice, they make it very easy to schedule appointments and they are very responsive.

I honestly can’t say enough good things about this practice. I’ve been with them for two years and they have seen all of my dogs. They go way above and beyond, they listen to me and take the time to explain everything thoroughly. They are incredibly kind and thoughtful and my dogs love them - they actually get excited to go to the vet. I would highly recommend them to any pet lover.

We been going to milford animal hospital forever, since I was kid now all grown as a big kid still going their the best, love the doctors and all techs, i can remember way back when Dr O'Neil was on staff, Lynn which today is still on staff, as we go back from grammer school together is wonderful, the lovin and caring they provided for the animals, goes well and beyond, I high recommend them, very personal and friendly , very clean and in orally manner 10 in my books, Thank you all. Just a recent visit with Dr Sachar, was wonderful little Mia can folge for that

I love MAH! They always take care of my Nala & Petey as if they were their own. Even during COVID my cats were taken care of as I waited in my car and spoke to the doctor on the phone during the visit. The office is clean and efficient. The techs are smart and knowledgeable. The front desk is friendly and kind. I have never once had a terrible experience. We see all the doctors and have no preference. I will never take my pets elsewhere!

Our pup loves going to MAH. The staff are great and Nicholas loves to play with them. We love the text feature so we can chat with the staff when we can’t take phone calls. They are always so responsive.

Best of the best … I wouldn’t go anywhere else! We love Dr. Sachar and the staff is awesome! No body cares for your hairy babies like Milford Animal Hospital!

We've been going to MAH for our mini golden doodle for a little over a year now and their service is top-notch. A+ on responsiveness, able to fill prescriptions same-day, and calm your worries. Dr. Oberg is a step above the rest we've been to and we can't thank them enough for ALL of their support recently. The pup had 7 teeth pulled, and flea/tick issues, and Dr. Oberg and the team at MAH have been supporting us the entire time. Honestly, it's a night and day difference in care from where we were at previously. If we ever move, I'd travel for MAH care.
