Poppy's Restaurant

This little restaurant is a cozy family - owned and operated business that has been around for over 50 years. Even my first time here they treated me with such kindness and friendliness. The food is delicious and a very fair price. Be warned it is cash only, but they do have an ATM on site. Couldn't recommend this place enough, try it and you won't regret it!

This was our first visit to Poppy's but we will be back for more. My Eggs Benedict with Home Fries were outstanding! The Owner was so sweet and made us feel welcome. Our waitress was great as well.

Dined in, 10 am, on a Sunday. Busy,busy busy! The food was great for the price! Family-friendly atmosphere ❤. Walked in and was told to find a table. Ower on sight and you can tell he enjoys every minute of it! Very nice establishment. Even though I think the service gets overwhelmed from time to time during rushes, they handle things quick. Kudos 👏

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Poppy's! We took a 2 week tour of New England for the fall colors. Poppy's was our favorite restaurant.

Our first time to this family owned and run North Branford staple -- and it will not be our last! Delicious apple/cinnamon pancakes and French toast, sausage, bacon, and most of all friendly and attentive service. Bravo and thank you!

While in Connecticut for a softball tournament at a nearby complex my boyfriend and I stumbled upon Poppy’s. We pleasantly surprised to find out there wasn’t a crazy wait to get a table. The second we walked in and we were greeted by Poppy himself and the kind waitresses. Our drink orders were taken immediately and our food shortly after that. Within 5 minutes our food, (eggs Benedict and two eggs over easy with bacon, hash browns and toast) was on the table and still burning hot! Everything was absolutely delicious. The atmosphere was so friendly and made us feel so comfortable. Poppy seemed like someone I would want to be best friends with. I love everything about this place and can’t wait to return next time we are here.

Great family run place. The staff (family) yells back and forth from the kitchen to the dining room - it fits the atmosphere. Pro tip- Spring for the hash browns and the corned beef hash. So good! Don't miss the local sodas. I would go back if I was ever in the area again.

I love Poppys! We go every Sunday for family breakfast, and the staff is always warm and welcoming! The food is absolutely delicious and fresh every time. It's a little hole in the wall diner, but so worth it!!

Absolutely fabulous place I used to visit this place once a week in my youth and it hasn't changed the food is still incredible the service is just as nice definitely a place you should go for breakfast..
