First time trying Abate Pizza, North Haven. I usually drive 25 minutes, to Zuppardi's, Frisco's, Ernie's or Modern. We tried Abate’s twice to be sure it’s consistant, and the bacon. Mushroom/onion, pepperoni, or sausage pizzas were excellent! .

Very clean restaurant! And best pizza I've ever had! It isn't super acidic either so you don't get heartburn. I'll go back next time I'm in the area for sure!

Just stopped there, the pizza is fantastic and you can't ask for better service...A++++ keep up the good work and I highly recommend

Our two servers were so pleasant and made sure we had everything we needed. The restaurant was very clean and friendly. The food was very fresh and delicious. My husband had the scungilli salad and I had sole with a light crisp coating and it was fresh and hot when it came to the table. The fries were fresh and crispy too. We were very happy with our visit and will definitely go back and try the pizza and the canolli.

I've always loved Abate and feel so lucky to have them in North Haven now! The pizza is honestly my favorite in the area, and never disappoints. I ordered delivery yesterday and there was a small miscommunication, I think due to how GrubHub sent the order. I was so impressed with how professionally and kindly they handled everything. The pizza was amazing as always –definitely my go-to place around here :)

Good quality pizza that doesn’t get the attention it deserves due to some other spots nearby. I know there are a lot of great spots in the area but this should be up there - especially since there isn’t a long wait. Good quality pizza that uses fresh ingredients! Looking forward to coming back sometime soon.

My favorite place up that way in the New Haven area.. their food and pizza is as good as anyone's. They have a bartender named Lauren who is a gem / Rockstar. Super friendly staff reasonably priced great atmosphere great vibe. Highly recommend.

Lunch with 4 friends. Tara was our waitress. She was very friendly, attentive and accommodating. Her service was excellent. Our food was delicious especially the chicken parm dinner and the Abate's special pizza. Great place. I'll definitely go again.

We had the opportunity to dine at Abate's on July 23, 2020. We were greeted by Larry who was also our server. The place was clean and all precautions were taken to ensure our safety while there. The food was amazing, Larry was personable and attentive to all our needs. They made a lovely area outside for dining, but due to the high temperatures, we chose to dine inside. We enjoyed calamari, Salmon ala Connie and claims over linguini. What a bang for your buck. The owner came over and talked with us also. This place is a real hidden gem (been there for 28 years) and don't understand why you wait outside other restaurants on Wooster street instead of coming into Abate's. Can't wait to go back.

Early evening on a Friday, I walked in, greeted right away and seated immediately. I met the owner and his wife who took care of me. Delicious wine with a tasty cheese pizza….. great place and worth the pop in for pizza!🍕

I've been going here for 25 plus years I was so sad when the original in New Haven burned. But found the North Haven one just as good as the other one. We'll always go there when I'm going through New Haven

Amazing service. Staff were amazing, pie was great. Honestly , everyone took care of me as they should us. Larry is spectacular and makes sure my pie is always done the way I want it to be. The two girls at on the phone with glasses were so polite when I came in. Didnt catch their name. But wow great service tonight!!!

I love the chicken Florentine. You guys don’t seem to disappoint me. Everytime I go for takeout it’s ready ASAP.

The Sicilian pizza might be the best one in the state! Absolutely scrumptious and a must try here at Abate pizza!!! It’s not your typical square pizza, it’s round!!!, Looks like a normal pie, but so much better :-)! I recommend always, the cheese pizza so you can actually taste the sauce, the cheese, the dough, the crust everything a pizza needs to be!

Everything Delicious! Happy they are so close to home! i will be calling tomorrow for some brunch! See u manana :) had the meat lovers pizza!!!

Finally got a chance to visit Abate's since they relocated to North Haven after the one on Wooster Street closed down. Just got the pizza there with sausage and cherry peppers, and it was a really good pie. Great char on the crust and stiff undercarriage. Little more cheese on this pie compared to what you get at the places downtown, but I actually appreciated that.

So great to have them up in the Hamden and North Haven area. No reason to go downtown for good apizza any more, especially if you live in the area.

Such a fun place to go. A must have is the Stuffed Eggplant Rollatini. I'm not kidding all 4 of us could not get enough of that dish. My son who loves pizza gives this pizza two thumbs up! Did I mention Bill Clinton visited here too!

Everything was fantastic!!! We were a party of 7. Dawn, our server was phenomenal! Food was amazing!! We had a variety of apps and individual dinners. They were all unbelievably good! We all enjoyed everything!!! We will be back!!!
