Where do I begin?!!! Anyone with curly hair would appreciate a place that knows how to deal with their curls because of how tiring it can be to just get the right style. I came across this salon due to it's great reviews and boy they were not wrong!! The first thing that caught my attention was that every single stylist including the owner is rocking their naturally beautiful curls or locks. I scheduled my first appointment with Thalia and had to rebook to go back in 10 days. They are all very knowledgable and their work is impeccable. I had a curly cut and style. Prices are very reasonable. Thank you so much for the great service! You guys will be seeing me again very soon!

the ladies there were sooo nice even though we all have curly hair they still obsess over everyone’s curls . it’s the cutest thing ever . the owner did my hair an i never been so happy . i’m looking to go back an dye my hair ginger with susie i was told book with her for that . i’ll go back to this salon forever

Oh my goodness. So this salon actually changed my hair life loll. I came in to get my relaxed hair chopped off. I’ve never been fully natural my whole adult life and so the education they gave me was greatly appreciated. They helped my 4c curls pop and helped me to truly see my natural hair as beautiful and something I truly wanted to flaunt! I truly love my natural hair as it is now with no need to change it and this salon really helped me to see my hairs potential. I have had Lindaysha and Thalia work on my hair now and they both did a superb job. Love this salon and will refer all my curly friends here!

I went for my birthday and honestly I was so nervous at first ( hair ptsd ) but It’s Super cute and vibey in there . Thalia definitely made me feel at home. I didn’t even show her pictures I just described on what I wanted and she nailed it and even exceeded expectations !! Thalia and Gigi showed me and explained every step and showed me what to do with each products . They’re super friendly full of life and jokes . I swear I didn’t know it was possible to not fight with my hair and that it’s possible to have bouncy healthy looking hair! I had so many compliments for a month straight . I’m definitely staying forever and I love it here . :) 100000000/10 would recommend

I take my daughter here for her hair needs and I absolutely loveeeeeee everything about the curly hair salon. From the staff to the products the services. Everything. Suzie always leaves my daughter’s hair so beautiful. I 100% recommend them to anyone with beautiful curls.

Only place I trust in CT! I’m very particular about who I let touch my head after years of learning how to take care of my curls and these ladies KNOW curls!!! Luvena cut my hair and all of the assistants and other stylists were great!

I’m so happy that I decided to get my curly hair cut with The Curly Hair Salon by Luvena Leslie. Crystal Ruiz did an amazing job. My only regret is not buying the products she used. The texture and bounce in my curls were unbelievable! My family was jealous of how happy my haircut made me feel. Thank you for helping me take my self care to another level.

I had 2 firsts at The Curly Hair Salon. I felt liked I actually walked out of a salon and I hugged the stylist (Susie). The pintura highlights came out gorgeous and they styled my hair beautifully. In fact every client looked gorgeous after their appointment. If you are a curly girl you MUST GO.

I’m new to town from Pa and I have always had a hard time finding a place that can handle curly hair . First and foremost Susie was super welcoming and inviting. The general vibe of the salon is dope ! Every one there that day was super friendly and most importantly I left with confidence and very happy after Susie brought my curls back to life after the first visit !

I have nothing but positive things to say about my experience. My stylist, Daysha, did a fantastic job. The environment was welcoming and clean. Pricing was reasonable (considering it’s a specialty haircut). My only regret is not going here sooner

I've gotten two glazes in preparation for my wedding as well as two trims and these services were done flawlessly and made me feel amazing. I wore my hair curly for my wedding as a result!

This is certainly a great hair salon, and I encourage others to book here as well to take better care of your curls.

Also, they stock hair products that I've never found in a typical drugstore like Innersence and, during my hair appointment, gave me detailed explanations on HOW to use them too.

The best curly hair salon in CT! Super attentive to your needs, all the stylists are super nice and make you feel right at home. Super understanding and accepting of your hair, I struggle with salons sometimes because I have a lot of hair and once they see my hair they make it seem like such a hassle to do it, not at Luvena Leslie salon! they are accepting of all curly textures! and give you tips on how to manage your hair. I recommend Lindaysha, she is great! super talented and skilled, very kind and funny, she makes your experience fun! The salon is very organized, clean and peaceful! Almost fell asleep a couple times because it was so relaxing. Overall the salon has a great vibe!

I took my daughter to get a curly cut. I wish I could give more than 5 stars! Her hair has been really heavy and just hard to manage, Thalia did an AMAZING job and gave her hair life! We are obsessed with how it came out. My daughter was so happy and said her hair felt so nice and light. She said Thalia made her feel so beautiful and happy and she really enjoyed her company during her appointment . The staff was extremely welcoming and friendly. I highly recommend the curly hair salon for all your curly hair needs!

My daughter wanted a big chop so she wanted someone who knew how to work with her curly hair type. After asking for recommendations in fb,my fb friends had all recommended The Curly Hair Salon in New Haven. I am so glad we went through and booked with this salon. Let me tell yall, Lindaysha was phenomenal!! Not only did she chop off 16 inches of my daughter's hair for donation, she made my daughters hair look so absolutely beautiful! My daughter recieved compliments over compliments of her Curly Hair cut. I can not thank Lindaysha enough for her professionalism, amazing hair work and skills!My daughter found her forever salon to treat her curly hair! Highly recommend!!!

Walking into Luvena’s Salon in New Haven was like walking into a Curly hair Girls Sanctuary. I was finally at a place that understood my hair type and had stylist who understood my daily struggles and had great suggestions! Thalia was my stylist and she gave me one of my best haircuts. She also cut my sons curly hair and had so much patience for him. She helped me choose the right products for my hair without being pushy at all. I’ve told all of my curly haired friends about where they need to go and quite a few have visited. I’m glad I finally found MY salon that understands and appreciates my curls.

5 stars isn’t enough. The Curly Hair Salon is the best salon in CT for curly hair. Period.

I came in for a cut and a deep conditioning. They must have added some magic in there because my curls have come to LIFE. I have more curls than I ever knew!

Crystal cut my hair, and she was lovely. I loved how she transformed my hair because she gave me the shape that I needed, and my hair looks so healthy and has so much volume now.

Took my daughter today for the first time and I have to say, I've never been happier with my daughter hair until today. Lindaysha was amazing all around!!! Amazing stylist and great with kids. The entire salon environment was very welcoming and everyone was very nice and all smiles!! I would recommend this salon to ANYONE !!! Thank you for taking such great care of my daughters hair!!
