Darbar India is one of the tastiest Indian fusion restaurants in Connecticut! There is so much incredible flavor, your tastebuds and stomach will thank you!

+ Indian pizza… ORDER THIS. YOU WON’T REGRET IT! The “pizza dough” is naan bread and the “sauce and toppings” is chicken tikka masala
+ Chicken lollipops… the flavor😍
+ Carrot mezcal
+ Indian tacos
+ Chai tea martini… this was super strong and sweet!
+ Indian beer
+ Butter chicken quesadilla
+ Garlic naan

Sunny and his family are the absolute sweetest and the space was very clean and modern. 12/10 would recommend and I can’t wait to come back to devour that Indian pizza!

Darbar is definitely in our top 5 favorite Indian restaurants in the state! They have great mix of authentic, traditional Indian dishes, while also getting creative with items like their chicken tikka masala pizza. I was never at their old location, but I can tell you that the space they’re in new is beautiful and so clean! Food and service were top notch and I would come back here any day!

The staff were really attentive and great hosts! The food came out fast and was pretty tasty, but the pizza was the most unique and delicious! We haven’t ever come across another Indian restaurant offering Indian style pizza. We would go again.

Darbar is mine and my husband's favorite place for Indian food. Absolutely the best by far. The chicken tikka masala pizza is to die for! I've recommended this place to so many of my friends and they all ended up loving it too! 1000000/10 would recommend to anyone!

A great dining experience! The staff were incredibly welcoming and friendly and the menu had several unique items that are a must try! We drove over an hour to try this place and it was worth it! The pizza is fantastic but can’t go wrong with anything on the menu! The prices are great too.

One of the best experiences ever! The food, non can compare! I’ve had quite a few Indian specialties but this tops it all. The service is beyond any I’ve experienced in this setting. This is what you call superior service. Small, intimate and inviting atmosphere.

TIKKA look at this awesome end of summer celebration at Darbar in Branford with Connecticut Yelp Elite! As an avid traveler and adventurous eater, I really enjoy experiencing food fusions that combine different cultures foods together into something new and delicious. This was Edward’s first Yelp event as a new Yelp Elite member and it was a wonderful showcase of what it’s like to be a part of the Yelp community. So lovely to get to meet Sabrina, Sara, and Rob - cheers to making new foodie friends!

For me, the true star of the show was their most popular dish and house special, the chicken tikka pizza. The only Italian ingredient of it is the mozzarella cheese. It is on a naan base with their in house tikka marsala sauce and chicken. Darbar gave us chicken lollipops that were absolutely flavorful and cooked to perfection (exclusive for the night and not yet on the menu). I particularly enjoyed the raw onions in the Indian tacos (their Mexican fusion) and the okra fries were pleasantly crispy and seasoned to perfection.

The Rupee beer was such a great compliment to the meal, the rice flavor and lighter carbonation really paired well with all of the Indian cuisine we had. The Darbar specialty drinks were spot on as well. The mango lassi tasted like summertime to me and the spiced pumpkin chai is the perfect transition into the autumn/fall. The Bombay bloody mary had a tamarind flavoring to it that reminded me of the flavors of my own upbringing, such a great twist on the classic drink!

I was stuffed by the end of the night and did not get to try the paneer wrap (such a great option for vegetarians), but Edward took one to go for his lunch.

Despite being full, I definitely have a dessert stomach. I was absolutely delighted by the gulab jamun, the honey glazed dough ball in rice pudding. My motto is that a meal is not over until dessert or something sweet at the end and theirs absolutely did not disappoint.

Darbar India is the best Indian food I have had in America. The service is amazing, the food is delicious, and the atmosphere is excellent since they moved locations. Chicken Maharaja, Aloo Tiki, and Malai Kofta are my favorites.

This was the first place I saw a "Authentic Indian Style Paneer Tikka Masala Pizza"! The pizza was fantastic! Absolutely delectable! The vada paav were slightly small in size for the price, but they tasted fantastic! Menu, beverage selection, and service are all excellent! The owner also assisted us in taking some fantastic photographs! Cheers to him! Everyone should absolutely try the pizza here! And lastly the best part of our meal was the desert- the Gajar ka Halwa!

I have no words, incredible restaurant! Drove an hour to get there, and it was well worth it. The food was amazing, the staff was so kind, and the setting was so unique and comfortable.

Tons of vegan and vegetarian options. We ordered 3 entrees, 2 appetizers, and a cocktail and EVERY SINGLE THING was phenomenal.

Darbar was on our places to visit. Went for New Year’s Eve. Food was wonderful. The service was even better. I can’t wait to go back and try something different.

Incredible food located right in the heart of Branford. The Chicken Masala and Butter Chicken were to die for. Paired with the garlic naan and cheese naan, insane. The new outdoor area is great too, especially on a nice day. The portions are generous as well, we took our food home the next day for lunch. Fantastic place!

Darbar is one of the best and authentic restaurant I have visited so far in USA. The food was really tasty and delicious. They served one of the best mango lassi. The staff was friendly and attentive. Yes, they have plenty of vegetarian dishes to pick.

Enjoyed EVERYTHING I had but I have to give a special shout out to the Pistachio Martini!! So good

This was the best Indian food I’ve ever had. The cocktails were amazing and the server recommended a dish which I really appreciated. The dish recommended was amazing!!!! Staff was extremely attentive and very friendly! CANNOT RECOMMEND MORE

Sunny and his family spent quality time engineering this menu, and it shows! Between the indian pizza, carrot mezcal, indian tacos, and everything in between; THEY WILL NOT DISAPPOINT!

The drink menu is excellent! Keeping things traditional with a few favorites like smoked old fashions, and traditional indian lagers. I was blown away by the flavors combos and staff atmosphere. This place is a 10/10 and WILL DEFINITELY have my return business. Anyone wanting to give them a shot, you should do it!

We love this place! My wife and I split the vegetarian chef special and you essentially get a 3 course meal for a great price. We didn't finish but they packed up each sauce individually for us and gave us extra rice to take home. They're also really quick to bring out food. Really friendly staff as well. Awesome place!!!

My first visit since they moved. Food was plentiful and awesome as was the service. I had the vegetarian chef special. I had to take the rest home though! I do miss the weekend lunch buffet but the new place is very small. Lunch specials are $10 but I had to splurge.

This is the first place I ever tried Indian Food and fell in love with it! The staff hasn't changed much over the years, so they are incredibly friendly, kind, and remember us when we come in. The location has recently moved, but the food is still just as delicious! My go to is Chicken Tikka Masala, but I recently got the Chef's Special (Non-Vegetarian) which is a sampling of many different classic dishes. It is more than enough for one person, you probably could share it though if you don't have a huge appetite. It comes with rice, and I got plain naan - though the garlic naan is also amazing! They also have some great Indian beers.

I would recommend them all day, every day!
