My choice for budget conscious dining in this area. Good quality food at reasonable prices. Wide selection. Fast and friendly service. Many of the other businesses in the area have high prices for low-to-average quality food.

If you are at the Yale hospital for anything this is the spot to try for some good fast food, seemed very popular, price is good and portions are large. Didn’t try the pizza yet but I plan to soon. I had the wings and they are awesome and cheeseburger and fries were tasty as well I would return because price is right, food is good

Was just there earlier. Got a small pepperoni and shared it with my mom. We both thought it was really good. I also loved the atmosphere in there. The owner and workers have the most chill vibes.

It's sad to say ALMOST... But while renovating my kitchen at home. We got delivery about 5 times a week. We've eaten almost everything on the menu. Not disappointed about any one dish. Would order every single one again and have . Chicken & steak quesadillas AMAZING!
COBB SALAD..... TO DIE FOR!!!! Pizza is exceptional too. Calzones are enough for numberous meals. Love there sauce!!! If you haven't eaten here. Your missing out!! Shout out to my Amazing delivery driver too Abdelfa!

I wanted to update my post. Recently Gennaro's updated there menu. As of August 2023 all the food items are the same. BUT every single price went up. Not just specific items. Every last price was increased. Some make sense. Some I think went a little to far. Foods still amazing. But I can no longer feed myself and my husband for around $20-$25.
It's more like $30-$35. Which is kind of hurts. One of my many reasons for ordering delivery so often was there affordable prices for such large portions. Didn't lose a customer. Just lost a couple times of week customer.

It's a good place to get a decent pizza

The place is not the fanciest, but the pizza was just great, and the price was accordingly.
I will eat here everyday. If you happen to be in the area, it's a great place for a quick service and a great pizza

Ordered from here for my family while my wife was recovering in the hospital after having our son. Super delicious! One of the best Italian food places in CT. Sauce had great flavor and fresh salads. Prices are almost too good to be true. Highly recommended! They will deliver to the hospital too!

I flew from Atlanta to Yale New Haven Hospital for emergency surgery for a beloved family member. Thankfully, given the strict Covid protocols for visitors at the hospital, I found Gennaro’s Pizza across the street for incredible food and unexpected emotional support. I welcomed the reminder of being home in Connecticut and what that tastes like, after many years now living in Atlanta. Gennaro’s delivers the most amazing pizza, just like home should be. The owner went one step further. He graciously provided me with a place to sit and hot coffee to help keep me awake after many hours waiting for my family member to come out of surgery. There is nothing more inspiring than to be reminded of how many good people there are in our world, whose actions prove how much we really do care about each other. When in New Haven, don’t miss out. Stop into Gennaro‘s and tell them I sent you! Just beautiful.

Great place! I was in Massachusetts and my daughter was in New Haven Connecticut she ordered online a sandwich and they sent her one that had mayo on it by accident. They fixed the problem with no issue! This is worth a million to me! One call done! Thank You so much

OMG, this was the first time I order pizza from Gennaro's and, in Jesus name, it won't be the last. I ordered cheese and sausage pizza and the stuffed bread with broccoli, cheese, and garlic; I would be short to say that this was absolutely delicious. I can't express how great the food at this place is. I'll be updating this review as I truly hope to try different things from their menu. 👍's up!

Great pizza and food. C- on the wings. Tried them 3 times just to be fair and they were equally bad evey time. It's not just me, other people i know say the same thing. If they improved there wings i would eat there more. I eat out 7 days a week. I eat here maybe once a week only because i love wings with my food.

This place was excellent the service, food and environment is great. I have been eating here for all my life and I never had any problems. Its a great place to walk to if you are close to Yale Hospital and need some great pizza.
