Michael's Trattoria

This place is awesome. I try to get her every few months. I always order the meatballs and calamari appetizers. They are my favorite items there. I tried the fillet mignon with veggies. This was so good. The staff was nice and friendly.

Heard about the great food a few times. Me and my foodie friend went there on a Saturday for lunch. WOW! Nice white tablecloth sets the mood for a great meal
I had the meatballs and we both had the clams, mussels and shrimp over linguine with a great white sauce. Service, food great. Can’t wait to go back and try a veal dish

I ordered catering for a function at church and they were so helpful over the phone. Pricing was more than fair with all the food we got. It was absolutely delicious! Italian is my favorite and Michael's hit the mark. Would highly recommend to anyone. 10 out of 10! ♥

Excellent dining experience from the moment you walk through the front door, the food was delicious with very generous portions and the staff was super courteous. I would definitely return here.

As an out-of-towner this was my first time visiting Michael's Trattoria, and it was a wonderful experience. The food was exceptional from beginning to end. Fresh baked bread is served warm with both olive and garlic, and butter. The salads were fresh and included a nice variety of spring greens, tomatoes, and chickpeas- and I would suggest trying their house vinaigrette. The Penne Alla Vodka was fantastic with perfectly cooked pasta, a sauce with the just the right balance of cream and zesty tomato, and a good amount of large, tender shrimp. The atmosphere is cozy with an elegant flair, and a nice mix of background music, including traditional Italian, and the service was friendly, and attentive. Highly recommended.

My man and I have lived here in Wallingford for 10 months now. Tonight we finally went to Michale’s restaurant. WOW! The reviews do not do this place justice. Everything was incredible, from their homemade seasoned olive oil and Italian bread through the creamy Italian dressing salad, rice balls, swordfish florentine and their “legendary” eggplant parmigiana. Just wow. Fresh, perfectly seasoned with healthy portions. The ambiance was fabulous; quiet in the dining area next to a really pleasant bar scene. (I don’t even drink but I would go there to hang with these happy people!) And Niko, our server, was a doll. We will be back!!!

The food and atmosphere was definately great! I highly recommend making a reservation especially on a weekend. We sat in the small room off the bar which was nice with 4 other tables in the room. We ordered drinks chocolate martini and a center street ipa. We ordered dinner, chicken marsala with angel hair pasta(the pasta was a special that night), chicken and artichoke withangel hair pasta, penne al vodka with chicken and finally 12oz new york strip steak. All meals came with salad or soup, warm garlic bread for the table. Food was excellent and well prepared. Only downside was the room we were in was close to the bar which was standing room only in there. Also they only serve pizza in the bar area not in the dinnin rooms.

Some of the best authentic Italian food, Great staff quaint little hole in wall restaurant makes you feel like you are in grandma's parlor waiting for the meal to be ready.. Loved every aspect of the visit.

A friend and I went to Michael's tonight, it was my first time and I left very satisfied! We both had the Stuffed Filet of Sole stuffed with Scallops, Crab and Shrimp with Terragon sauce. Two good size filets stuffed, the word delicious doesn't do it justice!! Service was great also!

Had a lovely birthday meal with my fiance tonight. Wait staff were super pleasant all round and the dining room was clean and very warm! We had the Sicilian calamari (delicious and plentiful), swordfish florentine and penne a la vodka with shrimp. Everything was cooked just right and we finished it all. Drinks were a grapefruit martini, espresso martini, and keoke coffee; they were all delicious. Needless to say we can't wait to go back!

I worked at Michael's when they first started. MICHAEL IS THE BEST CHEF I'VE EVER HAD THE PRIVILEGE OF WORKING FOR. Ivana and Ivanka Trump both ate there while Ivanka was at Choate academy . Alot of celebrities that were appearing at Oakdale would eat at Michael's ! I've always told people how great the food & atmosphere is . I have always had the highest respect for Michael and his family.!! If you love great food I highly recommend it.

If I could give this place 10 stars I would, ive been living in wallingford for years. And I just decided to go here last night. EVERYTHING WAS AMAZING, the food, the drinks, the apps, service was exceptional. I loved it!

We had a very large party for a birthday celebration . Jen, our server, was amazing . The food was outstanding . BRAVO!!

In front out of town for a few nights; glad I picked this spot. Amazing dinner. Fresh clams with linguine in red sauce was outstanding. Broccoli Rabe with sausage as an appetizer was also awesome. Excellent!!!!!

A wonderful, local restaurant with preparation that hints of Northern Italy. You'll find this at Michael's Trattoria. There's friendly service, "family" style food preparation, and reasonable prices in an informal setting, whether you're there for dining, a function or sitting in the bar with friends. Definitely a place to check out!!!
