Excellent selection of delicious lunch options including daily specials! The staff is friendly and know many customers by name. Food is fresh and service is quick. It is popular for takeout as parking and seating is a bit limited. I will definitely be back.

Great little diner with just as good of atmosphere. This was our first time eating here. The food was amazing! Definitely taste the love put into it.

Scarpellinos is my high rollings lunch place all there food and deserts are excellent must try it out yourself and see you should be pleased I'm shur of it

I come here for breakfast sandwiches when I’m in New Haven (they also have squash and eggs). Fun menu- love the Sinatra theme!

Amazing family owned deli/ restaurant. The atmosphere is upbeat and cozy. Every time I eat here the food is made quickly and it’s always delicious- Great portions. Luann and Danny (owners) are the sweetest. They have different authentic Italian dishes as well as a wide variety of subs and sandwiches. My favorite spot for a steak and cheese sub or some eggplant with a side of ziti. Never been disappointed.

New Haven is a food destination with some of the best chef’s in America. Chef Danny belongs on that list as one of the best for sure! First of all, everything he cooks is done at an exceptional level. Everything. Take “eggs and squash” two simple ingredients right? One taste and you will ask yourself: how does he take those two ingredients and make it taste so amazing?! The sandwiches, the meatballs, the parmigiana - those staples of Italian fare are next level. What really stands out is that this Chef is so talented and so genuine. He isn’t over-emphasizing profits. He wants to feed your heart and soul. He wants you to love it as much as he loves cooking it. You will. Thanks for feeding us so well. Scarpellino’s catered breakfast for about 30 the morning after our wedding. The food was delicious and plentiful - scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon, potatoes, fruit, muffins and bagels. Danny was wonderful to work with - he was responsive and very friendly - genuinely wanted to deliver a great breakfast for our wedding weekend. Would highly recommend Scarpellino’s!

Just like Italy! Squash blossoms are a must when they have them. Every sandwich is large and filling. Their marinated eggplant is the best I've had. I don't know if they make it themselves, or if it's from a jar, but it tastes homemade and pairs great on the Park St or college St sub (I forget which is which, both delicious). I wish they were open for dinner!!

Amazing eggplant. Razor thin in delicious tomato sauce. I get the sandwich. Don't even waste your time putting mozzarella on it; just add parmesan. It melts in my mouth. Btw, everything is great here. I've eaten it all. Family owned and run. Sinatra music all day long. Love it!

This was the first time I have been here and it did not disappoint! Calimar over linguini and a side of crab something over rice with a dollop of lobster bisque! And topped of with cheese cake ... the only thing that was disappointing was that my stomach wasn't bigger!! Friendly staff and customers! All around awesome time! Tha is for an awesone lunch!!!

Small place with AMAZING! homemade food. The service was awsome as well and it was ready super quick. I really recomend this place 10/10!!!

Great food home style cooking this is what REAL Italian food should taste like. Danny and his wife Luann make you feel like family. Never had a bad meal here
