I randomly found this place when I was in town and MANNNN it's a 10/10. Chill environment, lofi playing in the background and the lady in there was SO NICE! They make a MEAN drunken noodle and the Thai tea was great! Do yourself a favor and go here!!@

Asking for traditional Thai spicy papaya salad not disappointed.drunkle noodle is so good .have to come back for more..overall food is very tasty. Service friendly Will recommended.

From the first day they opened I have not found a Thai restaurant that matches their quality and freshness of the meals and ingredients. Quaint atmosphere, cozy seating and friendly staff always makes our visits very pleasurable. If your passing through Wallingford consider Za-Onn Thai restaurant .

Got the pineapple fried rice, was pretty good. Got it with a spice level of 3 and would probably go spicier next time. Very nice service in a fun part of Wallingford.

First off, the staff here are so friendly and kind which is a huge plus when choosing a restaurant. I regularly enjoy their spring rolls and chicken pad Thai. Both have great flavor and the portions are very generous. Hands down my favorite Thai spot in the state for sure. Please go support this wonderful local business!

I’m so glad I stopped by to get dinner here. I called my order in and it was ready promptly after I arrived. The food was piping hot- which is rare when you get takeout. It even stayed hot until I got home 15 mins later! The service was so friendly and welcoming, really a treat. And of course the food- so delicious. I ordered pad see ew & pad Thai with a soup- all of it was delicious and generous portions. 5 out of 5 for me!

Absolutely the best Thai I've ever had. Everything else within a 30 mile radius pales in comparison, and the owner is very friendly! I'm making an effort to go line by line and try everything on the menu, and I'm about two thirds of the way through.

Some dishes strike me as a bit weird, but they're still GOOD, and those have been the low points! All the food is fresh and flavorful. Be careful, though, because the food comes to you right out of the pan, and it will be blazing hot if you try to dig in too fast.

I have a few minor criticisms to levy:
- Food doesn't all come out at the same time. Some diners at a table will receive their food while others wait.
- From a service standpoint, the dining room can feel abandoned. There's usually only two people running it, and they're both in the kitchen most of the time. I never felt like I was left hanging, however.
- You should call before you go to make sure they're open! They do not adhere strictly to their posted hours, and will randomly take off for a few hours or for the day.

Best Thai food in the area. They have their takeout situation down and everything is always delicious. The owner is so sweet and always very friendly. The portion are also always generous. Very happy to support them!

The food is perfectly seasoned and prepared. This family run small business is a great fit, for the center of Wallingford.

Za-Onn has the best thai food my family has ever had. My mom travels the world and she says that this is the best thai food she has ever had. The ingredients are fresh, the staff are wonderful and sweet, and we HIGHLY recommend this restaurant.

Came here for the first time and wow the food was super tasty and out of this world! Staff was super friendly and quick. Highly recommended dumplings and pad thai with shrimp!! Will be back because it's the best thai food in town.

A bit pricey, but most of the food is great. Curries are fantastic. I'd avoid the fried rice, though. Went with a somewhat big party of people and they were kind.

I have been to 8 different thai restaurants in CT. This is the best one I have been to. It doesn't look like much from the outside, and it is a fairly small restaurant, but the food is really good and authentic. The prices are reasonable and the service is really good as well. This is hands down the best thai restaurant in Wallingford area.

Best Thai restaurant in the area. I go out for lunch often with co-workers and with our office recently moving to Wallingford we were in need of a good Thai place. Having tried most of the other Thai restaurants in the area, we luckily discovered Za-Onn! The food is fresh, simple, and delicious. There are different options depending on how hot you like your food, as well as some creative appetizers along with the standard dishes you would expect from any Thai restaurant. We will likely be coming back regularly.
