Bad Betty's Barbecue

My daughter-in-law and I had a great meal. She had the combination platter, and I got the bbribs. Extremely friendly staff and delicious food!

Very quiet place to enjoy some of the best BBQ in the Helena area. Staff is very friendly and the owner is always willing to help and share stories.

By far the best BBQ around. The staff is very friendly. Short wait for your food. Literally everything on their menu is delicious. The meat practically melts in your mouth. I’ve noticed they have a lot of regulars. No matter what you order, you will not be disappointed.

Great service, awesome food. We went on a Wednesday and got the briket special. Was fairly busy for lunch but still got our food quick. Two meals was enough for two adults and two toddlers. We were given a couple of fidget spinners that made my toddlers day. Loved the Mac and cheese

Very tasty food, we had the brisket and tri tip meat, it comes with BBQ sauce and a slice of garlic bread. The place id clean, customer service is nice and the size of the plate is good enough for a lunch

This is the best BBQ I've had since I lived in Texas. I walked in, was immediately greeted by staff and asked what was good today. Brisket was the answer and boy was that a great choice. The bark on that brisket was smoky, perfectly seasoned and moist. The side dish I chose was the Tater Salad and it was delicious and obviously not a bland, out of the carton salad. I was delighted when the owner and staff both came out during the lunch hour to ask how everything was. The building is a cool old railroad warehouse and the tables and decor are clean and modern. I also loved the nerdy nod to Star Wars. A great place to eat!

Was visiting Helen and The Hertz guy named Chris, Bad Betty’s bbq for lunch. The food was super flavorful and the staff was very helpful

The atmosphere has a quaint feel to it with the multiple antiques and wood tables. The food is delicious and reasonably priced with today's food costs. Portions are plentiful. Always pleased eating here.I had the combo platter for $13.50 highly recommended.

I ordered 6lbs of brisket for my husband's 50th birthday party and it was so amazing! Calvin and staff knocked it out of the park! It stayed hot and juicy until we cut it. Everyone loved it!

Ordered the Holy trinity on their recommendation. It's really good. Too big to eat unless you either have a gigantic mouth or eat some of the stuff on top first. They actually have really good coleslaw! Had the Wicked beans as a side and it was fantastic.
Had a little bit of their house sauce on the side and it was great with a vinegar zip to it.

Hands down the BEST bbq in town! Pictured here is their Thursday nacho special with burnt ends. Portion would easily feed 2 people for $12! Stopped in for pickup and they had all safety precautions for COVID-19. Can't wait to go back.

The staff was so friendly and the wait time was just a few minutes. It is by far the best BBQ I've had in a long time!

Woof! This place rocks. I had the combination platter with the ribs and there wasn't a scrap left on the plate by the end of the meal. The brisket and the ribs were incredible. I think I have a new favorite spot in Helena.

Drove through Helena and stopped for lunch. Was slightly concerned with the limited hours but I think that played into our favor.

Sadly they were out of brisket, so I had the chicken(5 star), the smoked chili(5 star), and the pulled pork(10 star baby!!!!) Also the BBQ sauce was off the scale good!
Giving 5 stars overall, but I do have a couple small complaints.
1 - Those napkins suck! Plastic napkins do not get the bbq off your fingers and face! And it WILL be all over your face as it is so damn good!
2 - The cheddar corn bread was flavorful, but there was waaaay too much cheese. Made it hard to eat in my opinion. A lot less cheese, and a little more cornbread and it would be perfect!
Not a fancy place in the fancy part of town. Maybe not a great first date place. Then again, if your date can't understand the level of BBQ being served up here, maybe you should keep looking..... For someone else to date I mean. ;0)

Great food and good prices. Also nice atmosphere inside the restaurant; don't let the unassuming curb appeal turn you off.

Great meat! They do only a few things here, but they do them well. First impression was great. Perfectly seasoned meat with just the right amount of kick. Pickle and slaw a great addition as well. Premises are on the small side and limited hours, but clean, well kept, and well priced.

We used Bad Betty's for the rehearsal dinner for our son's wedding and it was fabulous! Everyone kept talking about how great the food was! Mac and cheese was excellent!

Delicious KC-style BBQ, but not in Kansas City? You betcha!
