Colony Diner & Restaurant

These guys did a great job, incredibly detailed menu- I don't know how they offer that degree of variety. But they did a wonderful job with our two meals. Very generous portions, very reasonable prices. The restaurant is lovely and well decorated. I would say it spotless but the floor is sticky everywhere. Nonetheless I intend to be a regular there.

First time at this 24-hour diner. I ordered a panini with sweet potato French fries. The portions were larger than I could've imagined for the price. It was bursting with flavor. I was able to eat half and take the rest home for another full meal.
My partner ordered a chicken scampi. It was also bursting with flavor and large portioned. We loved being able to sample one another's meals and still have leftovers.
Our waitress was a beautiful, unique individual. I loved her personality.
We will definitely be coming back here.

First time in many years I haven't cooked for Thanksgiving. Had the turkey dinner. It was excellent. Well worth the 40 bucks. The turkey soup was so good.

First, bring a big appetite or be prepared to share. Portions are very generous. Some of the vegan dinner items have smaller portions, but for the most part there is a lot to eat! For food, think DINER. It is a diner and the choices are typical high end diner selections. Now, the prices are slightly higher than the typical diner but you get a lot and you do get quality. There is a large outdoor seating area for those who prefer. Waitstaff is friendly, but peak times can be a little chaotic. This is a popular spot. More vegan and vegetarian options than other area restaurants that are not vegan specific. Lots to love here and plenty to bring home.

Part of my order was wrong but everything was fantastic regardless. Love that they have vegan choices. the vegan BLT IS INCREDIBLE. first time trying something not on the breakfast menu and oh my goodness. will order again 10/10!!

Good food, great atmosphere, top notch service. Diner food with a home cooked feel. The staff is always friendly, and if you're not a regular, they will make you feel like one pretty quickly. We go there, often for the chicken soup, which is not from a can. Hope you enjoy it.

Eric runs a great establishment with Caroline, Vasili, Dawn and all the wait and support staff providing a friendly environment.

Update: we had the Chicken Parmesan and the Eggplant Parmesan. Both dishes have been great. Amazing portions, and not greasy, as sometimes these dishes can be at other places.

Really great service and excellent quality food. They have gluten-free options and are happy to make substitutions. Portions sizes were great and worth the cost. Great choice for families.

We found this really good diner but it's more like a restaurant because the quality and quantity is so good. It has the biggest and best menu that I've ever seen and everything is great!!!The best part is they are always open on holidays and we often travel 45 minutes just to go here. Great selections and food tastes really great!!! Highly recommended. Come hungry because the portions are huge!!!!

I have eaten here several times. Every experience at this diner has been exceptional. The food is delicious., and plentiful. The staff are very professional, courteous, and prompt. And the atmosphere is tops for any diner or any restaurant in general. Thank You, Colony Diner!

This place has a great selection for everyone. I order from the vegan menu which is actually quite large including things like vegan burgers, ravioli chickpea tuna melt just a whole lot of stuff to choose from. The only problem I have is picking one dish. The house salad dressing is a must try. Highly recommend

I love Colony Diner. They have great food with a ton of vegan options and some of the best house made salad dressing I have ever had. Yes it's that good. Their chickpea tuna melt is my favorite. Their food feels like a hug super comforting

Spacious, inviting, pleasant diner. Friendly, helpful staff. Breakfast portions are larger than average, deliciously filling, and worth the price. Oldest diner in Wallingford.

Wow, just a great place to eat, Donna was our server and a veteran pro, in how she served us and interacted with the other customers.
The food was well prepared and delicious.
You got a full plate and more and each bite was better then the last.
We ate inside but due to life, they have a great outdoors as well, and the wait staff was on top of all their customers inside and out.
Great place to eat, I would gladly return!

Amazing! One of the best diners I have been to. Friendly staff and a great selection of food. I am vegan so I was able to get a great meal with a plethora of choices. It’s great to be able to order vegan while my partner can get regular eggs! Will be back! Thanks for being so inclusive!

Excellent diner! They have an endless menu for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Unbelievable! I’ve never seen a menu this big.

This is a lovely diner near I-91. The waitresses are lovely and the menu is EXTENSIVE. if you are a vegan, you must come here! They have a dedicated sections of anything you could want from a diner, but veganized. We tried the BLT and the french toast and tofu scramble. Everything was fantastic. I want to thank the good people at this diner for offering so many allergy and vegan friendly options. It is so, so nice to not have to just get a side dish.
