Go here if you want to be happy, and if your a miserable person don't go because the vibe here is too good for you to ruin. The service at the bar was great! Imagine having two bartenders almost fight over making sure you have the best service (and believe me I'm no celebrity to fight over) it was great. Happy hour options are amazing, 30 percent off! Who can beat getting things you already wanted to order but now cheaper (and Tuesdays they do military/veterans discount). The seating at the bar was comfortable, love a good high top chair and now the real star of the show. THE PICKLED PUP PIZZA! don't walk, run it's so good. I have had many pickled pizzas (pickle pizza connoisseur you might say) and this one puts it over the top. Stop reading the review now and go get it. For real stop.

Second visit! Try the smokehouse Mac and cheese! It’s huge, legit layered with pulled pork and brisket and there homemade bbq sauce! You won’t eat this whole thing.. or maybe you will! Try it!! I dare you

Fantastic! We recommend the fish & chips, Smokehouse Mac & Cheese, and any of the burgers. The service is always exceptional, but this past visit was truly amazing. Shannon C and Sadie worked together to make our experience great, including a surprise birthday dessert for me. We absolutely love this place!

Service is always excellent no matter the time of day or how busy it gets.
Can't go wrong with anything on the menu, the burnt ends are an excellent appetizer.

I live an hour and a half away and gladly make the drive for this place whenever I can. It's a must visit restaurant!

Tonight was curbside pickup did not eat in as I have before. Let’s just say the Prime Rib was perfect tonight. Spot on with the flavor. Delicious and cooked the way I like medium rare. My other go to is Shipyard Chicken that’s another favorite.

My first heart filled landmark in seeing my daughter celebrate and prepare for her first child! From working with Megan to ordering our last drink, the room was magical and your staff, Kristin and Caitlin couldn't do enough to make sure we were comfortable as well as our family and friends. We needed for nothing - 10 stars to your customer service!
You would have never known there were 85 women in the room! It was comfortable to visit with others and truly a great idea to have the buffet in the center of the room! The food was unbelievable! The portions were plentiful and displayed perfectly! Everyone couldn't get over the portion sizes, the haddock, lemon chicken and lasagna were amazing!

Got the BBQ Mac and Cheese with Bacon! Was absolutely amazing. The manager came up and checked on us and all the employees there work together so well. Runs like a well oiled machine and will be going back a lot more. My server was the absolute best too.

The Black Dog in Putnam CT. Has some of the best BBQ around! This place is a must go to! The food, drinks, & atmosphere is amazing. You won’t be disappointed! Get the ribs & the hangin bacon!! Yum!!

Wow!!!. Great place. Atmosphere is awesome. They have multiple rooms including a large screened in room. They have a large beautiful bar. This was our first time here. We got burgers and they were amazing. On Mondays it's buy 1 burger get one half off. There house sauce is incredible. I used it on my fries and burger and is in picture. Wife got French onion burger and i got gouda burger with blueberry barbecue sauce. The sauce was great but did not taste like blueberry which was fine with me. It was a very juicy burger. We will be comming here again for sure. The owner came and made sure everything was good. Nothing but goid vibes here!!!!

We made a reservation for 645 and good thing we did because it was busy. I ordered the candy bacon for an appetizer and it is so good. It’s got a great brown sugar coating and they are thick pieces. We ordered the three meat plate with beef tips, sausage, and the brisket. The sausage was by far the best but they all had a great BBQ and smoky/sweet flavor. The pulled pork was a little dry so I wish it had sauce. Their sweet potato fries are crispy and light and their corn bread was so good it tasted like vanilla cake. Overall, our waitress was so nice and always asked if we needed anything and the food was great. We would definitely come again!!!!

We sat at the bar, and the service was excellent. It was so clean and the atmosphere inviting. We didn't have much time to stop but definitely want to go again. There are 2 different restaurants with 2 bars, and it was so hard to decide what to try off the menu. Everything just looked so good. I don't know positively, but the place is surrounded by farms, and everything tasted and looked fresh. Great stop if your out on the motorcycle.

I have had nothing but 100% delicious food here. The wait staff is superb, and the bartenders make amazing cocktails. Their BBQ is second to none around here! There is something for everyone, from incredible burgers to fresh fish and the most finger licking good BBQ I've had in forever!
Great for a casual date night or family group diners. They have a small hall you can rent out for parties as well.

I had a great dinner here with my friend tonight. The pickle pizza was amazing, I loved being able to watch the chefs cook. It was busy, but rightfully so, it was delicious. Such a great restaurant in this area, and reasonably priced. Definitely recommend.

Always a great meal and time. Just outstanding BBQ, Pizza and General menu items plus the nest damn Cobb salad within 50 miles. Entertainment in the bar area with some great local musicians. Awesome beer selection with 20 plus on draft, happy hour specials and just a great place to hang.

Everything I have ever eaten here has been amazing! Love the environment. Great waitstaff. Always busy! Love the House Sauce. Will keep coming back.

A very nice resturant with 2 bars and 3 dinning rooms. Food was very good, and fresh. Wait staff was very helpful and on the spot with refills. Some of the best smoked meats this end of the state. Brisket is fantastic,

What a cool place! Every meal was perfect! I had a sausage & pepper pizza and it was delicious. The steak bomb sandwiches were great, and one in our party had the brisket and mac & cheese- she said it was outstanding! And most of us took food home.

The owner came out and checked in with us as we finished our food, it was a very nice touch.

This is place is definitely worth the ride. The food is delicious, today we had two appetizers bang bang shrimp (huge, crispy and perfectly seasoned) and buffalo wings (lightly smoked and not too hot). Followed by four different entrées but will highly recommend Shipyard Chicken. Lightly Fried Chicken Breast Topped with Our Signature Seafood Stuffing with Newburg Sauce. Served with Choice of Vegetable and Potato. Trust me this is not just another BBQ place lots of choices for everyone to pick from. Great selection of craft beer and don't be to take home dessert! (You will be to full to eat it there.) Atmosphere is warm, cozy and inviting.

Went for dinner on a Friday night, and the place was packed! They had multiple Christmas parties going on, but the staff were all super friendly & working like a well-oiled machine. The food was superb! It's a beautiful restaurant with excellent food. I highly recommend going if you haven't!

Both good and service were incredible. Such a packed menu with great choices. I can’t wait to eat here again. They even have event space separate from dining areas, the restaurant is much larger than it appears on the outside, which I love.
