David was a great partner to work with through two different bathroom remodels we were having done in our home at the same time. He was neat, clean and we never had to pick up after he or any different specialty crew he brought into our home. He was respectful, did things professionally and was patient and kind. He always made a point to stop in on any of the work that was being done outside of his own and always made sure the project was being done right. He truly went Above & Beyond!

This company was tasked with the demolition and rebuild of the front porch on my 105-year-old house. The results are "above and beyond" my expectations. The workmen responded positively to my last-minute design change, and their workmanship and choice of materials gave me a front porch that fits with the design and era of the house and adds curb appeal. Communication was awesome, and everyone is pleasant to deal with. Definitely a quality outfit!

If I could give more than 5 stars I would. David and crew finished our project in the timeline they said they would. They were always on time, very friendly and most importantly very clean. David thought of small details that we never even considered. We are so thrilled with our new kitchen and 2 and one half bathrooms. The quality of work is amazing. Our adventure in home renovation started with a wish to have a hardwood floor in our kitchen. To find a qualified wood-floor installer, I asked the advice of my cousin, who works for a large real-estate firm in the Hartford area. She checked with some associates and came back with the recommendation: David Ostrowski of Above and Beyond Home Improvements in Manchester. (Be careful --- there are two companies with similar names.) David remodeled our kitchen and installed a beautiful kitchen floor with precisely the same elevation as the original wood floors in the living room and dining room. David does not cut corners and insists on high-quality materials and workmanship.

The painters did a meticulous job in painting the kitchen, and I inquired about the possibility of their painting the exterior of our house. After some months, the same crew showed for the outside work. The siding was in terrible shape after previous paint jobs in which there was not nearly enough surface preparation. The crew spent many days scraping and sanding until the house was ready for paint. With such thorough preparation, we took the opportunity to change the color of the house from a dark, chocolate brown to a light, off-white color with tan trim. The color change was a bit of a challenge, but this was clearly an elite team of painters. They were as careful with the exterior as they had been with the indoor work. The result was an amazing transformation. Many of the neighbors passing by have stopped to compliment us on the new look of the house. Even the FedEx driver paused for a moment to admire the house.

I highly recommend Above and Beyond and send kudos to David Ostrowski for his insistence on top quality work.

David and his team recently completed a major renovation to our home built in the 1800s. The project included the complete remodel of a kitchen (including walk-in pantry, mudroom/laundry room), family room, sunroom, rec room, powder room and roofing. Considering the stress and disruption a project of this scope creates on a family of 5, we could not have asked for a better experience or finished product.
