La Brioche Bakery

This is the best French bakery in Connecticut! Everything is authentic French yet home-style. The owners are very nice people, and it is always a great pleasure to come to this place. Everything is delicious there. If you are driving from some distance, call ahead to see if they are open or not. This is a small family owned establishment. I always was very pleased with La Brioche cakes and pastries.

I had a sweet experience at La Brioche Bakery. Even though I've never been to France, I felt like I had been there since I opened their doors. The owner was listening to classic French songs and was so lovely! Their pastries and baguette were so delicious. I can't wait to go back again :)

Two things you must try...bread and Sarah surprises. The baker is so friendly and you can tell she really loves what she does and genuinely cares about what others think of her product. She names my favorite pastry after her granddaughter Sarah. Bread is fresh and you can easily eat the whole loaf by itself in one sitting. Hidden gem. You won’t be disappointed!

I've been there a couple of times now and each time is an absolute delight. The bread is fantastic, it reminds me of growing up in Germany and going to the local bakery every morning. I plan on making this place staple.

This French bakery makes authentic French bread and pastry! I've been to Paul the French bakery and it cannot be compared to this bakery, including the prices; it's also nothing like Big Y or Stop & Shop. They are true to their art of making authentic french bread and pastry for all to enjoy. The owner is very warm and kind and the gentleman who works there too. It's a great little place! It's worth the drive from Boston.

Colette Berube is the owner and, in the very early 90s, I worked for her when she was located in Stafford Springs (then known as La Petite French Bakery). I was folding boxes and she taught me all about the art of cooking and caring about food. I was 'paid' with a bag of breads and pastries and, trust me, as a 10 year old, I was king lol.
Her food was, and still is, delicious!!
It was SO great to see her after all of these years and reminisce together over a pastry and coffee. She is such a sweet soul and full of life!
I highly encourage you guys to go visit her and pick up some of her food! You won't regret it!!!

The look of the place always brings a smile to my face when I drive by. I definitely think more people should go and I should take more time out of my day to go. The owner is lovely and makes authentic pastries that taste absolutely amazing.

Absolutely incredible sweets and bread! The woman who runs the shop is so sweet and you can tell this is her life’s passion. I highly recommend the chocolate mousse cups and the raspberry cheese pastry.

The flavor and quality of all that I've tried from here is so uniquely wholesome and delicious. I love their sweet breads and croissants. It's nice to have someplace like this that has a traditional and perfected approach to all their goods.

Our UConn French grad class took a field trip there because our professor had heard of it. The baguettes (long thin bread) are the best I've had in the U.S. because she uses the best ingredients. We also tried the Madeleines. The prices are very reasonable. The owner Colette told us she gets up really early to bake everything fresh. She took some time to explain her business to us in French.

What an excellent bakery! We stop here after church every Sunday and we all look forward to it. Im hesitant to share that the brioche with almonds is so delicious. Just please save me some :P

The owner is an extraordinary women. Lived thru WWII in France. She has perceived and brings an authentic taste of EuroWorld to her little bakery in Rockville Conn. The chocolate chip cookies are just the right texture and sweetness. I dunk mine in milk. Every pastry is top notch. And I take home several loaves of bread for my friends & family. bon appetit Paris!

Not great? Simply superb!! Beginning with top shelf ingredients and continued with the skill of an experienced French baker every item is masterfully crafted with care and commitment to quality and authenticity. All this and affordable too. Highly recommended! A+

A hidden treasure indeed and the new location across from the Vernon Town Hall is a welcome change - bright and clean! Have been coming here for many years and love the bread but also the cakes and eclairs. An authentic french experience in downtown Rockville.

I can't speak as to the quality or price of the bakery but I would like to speak as to the character of who I believe is the owner of the bakery.

Last year in November I was walking to the bus stop as I always do every early morning 6 days per week.
That day was very cold and was walking thru the memorial park across from the bakery when a woman came up to me handed me a hot chocolate and said " Have a good day!"...I was taken a little aback not expecting that random act of kindness..I have been homeless even though I have a job..that simple thing lol..made me cry..not very many examples of kindness out here.

It was delicious by the way..I suspect it is chocolate of a kind one can only get from a bakery.

This is probably the only bakery around here that make actual bread. Decent crust outside , airy and moist inside. Well fermented and baked to a proper doneness. Most importantly this is the only place around that has the bread smells like bread.

The place to go for authentic French baked goods - best crassoints around and their pie is a must! Don't be afraid to call in your order early they sell out daily.

This bakery is a little spot of European baking that beats every other bakery I've been to in the US. Real bread, delicious desserts, and unbelievably amazing chocolate eclairs. The woman who owns and bakes is from Metz, France, and is very lovely.

Always a pleasure going to get fresh baked goods. Great environment and prices. Brings you back to the ole days!
