Wonderful establishment. I purchased kente clothe to make stoles for our youth to wear for our Black History celebrations. The owner and staff was personable and excellent.

Excellent customer service and positive energy is what you’ll be greeted with! I was picking up a package (a courtesy service they provide with a deliverly partner). I am on the bus line and worried I would get there after close. I called ahead of time and the owner (I can’t recall her name) was so friendly and accommodating of ensuring I’d be able to my package. I arrived and she and her staff (one very kind and welcoming gentlemen) were so kind. The merchandise is beautifully displayed and the pieces were quite beautiful. I will definitely come back and patronize the business. They were so kind and affirming and you can feel that they are there for the community. I love that. Asé.

I've never been to the store before. I was able to get the help I needed rather quickly. It's as nice place. I wish I had more time to explore fully. I found Sheila was very friendly and helpful. I'm looking forward to another visit.

We had a chance to visit after world for the first time to purchase my granddaughter and outfit they were very nice and they handled us with care. They made sure that the dress we purchase was suitable for her and they were also very patient with our grandchildren. This is the place I recommend for any of your African needs they have books and everything that will benefit not only adults with children as well. I look forward to returning back for something else soon

Sheila is the manager/owner there and she is a Rockstar. She is so involved in the community, more than most politicians, in which she is not paid. She has is very medically conscious by requiring all to wear masks when browsing in her store. This is a covid-free environment and I appreciate her efforts of keeping me safe and healthy. Her selection of African garb is the largest and the best in the state.

I have always had a wonderful shopping experiences here. During this pandemic, their safety precautions are very good. When i went to pick up my order, i was told to pick it up at the drive thru window which i was very happy about because i didnt have to go inside and put myself or the staff at risk of this crazy pandemic. I love this place.

I was greeted with great energy and a smile by the owner. Due to this pandemic and social distancing, they are operating through their drive up window which was good with this 90+ degree weather, I was grateful I did not have to exit my vehicle to be serviced. She informed me of the sales and new merchandise, assisted with one of a kind items I had no idea they carried, and allowed me to see colorful pieces that matched a garment I wanted for an event. I will definitely share with others and plan to shop here again.

Afro World is THE place for great Afrocentric clothing and other products. Always got what I need, welcoming all comers in a safe way that protects their staff and customers. I appreciate their insistence on safety and health in these COVID times. A must!

I have fallen in love with this business! I live in Detroit and follow them on Facebook, so I see a lot and I mean a lot of items that I have fallen in love with. I have purchased two of the most beautiful outfits and I can hardly wait to style them here in the D! I love this store. I can hardly wait till I visit St Louis cause I am going to make sure I get there to visit them and purchase more items! Keep on doing what you are doing it is all great and wonderful! Wonderful place to shop, has a little of everything, from hair for braiding or sew in and African clothes from small sizes to large great experience very friendly sales staff. I have enjoyed my experience you'll enjoy yourself as well.

For as long as I can remember, Afro World has been the place to go to for unique and quality items for the African American community. My out of town family members still shop at Afro World when then visit as well as ordering on line. They are also huge supporters of our voter registration drives and volunteer their time and business to helping get out the vote. I pray Afro World can make it through the pandemic with support from the community by masking up and getting vaccinated.

I absolutely love this place!!!!! The atmosphere is amazing. I was able to shop for my entire family.
