The Salvation Army Family Store & Donation Center

Salvation Army is my go to place to wind down and relax. I enjoy going there when I can. The staff is very pleasant and I am so fortunate to get some lovely things for me and my family....

Great organization of the clothing, cute section for books, nice selection of vintage items etc. One of the tellers was very helpful and friendly as well :)

One of the stores I'm most loyal to and grateful for. It is true that prices have gone up since the store moved from Brooklyn, CT. That, though, is the policy of Salvation Army headquarters. Many Salvation Army stores I have visited in northern Connecticut have the same up-scale chic decor--and higher prices. This store has a remarkable, friendly staff and, as any thrift shop, a surprising inventory.

Love this place!! The home decor section has some great treasures. I have decorated my house and the office I work in with some of the pictures I have purchased here. Any day spent at this Salvation Army...is a great day.

The best Salvation Army I have ever seen! The selection of clothing is remarkable, it's like treasure hunting! I found a White House / Black Market pair of jeans, brand new with a tag for 8 bucks! The store has huge selection of designer brands. Plus store employees are amazing and very helpful! Well worth a trip!

They must've listened to you guys, because the prices were reasonable for things, cheaper than Goodwill in norwich. The furnitures hit or miss, but it was always like that. First time in the new store, honestly it doesn't look that great, everyone saying they spent so much money on it but it's just a bunch of pallet wood everywhere, and they didn't even put a floor in the place. It still looks ok for what it is. Bathroom could use a wash, I don't think they own a mop, but at least they have a bathroom now. Seems like there's less in this store but I like the layout.

My husband and I visited this Salvation Army Store on April 30, 2018. We live in Storrs so it is quite a distance away but we had come to Killingly to shop at Lowes.
I have to tell you that my husband I were both impressed with the store.
Pricing on everything was much better than the store that closed in Willimantic. I hate to say that... lots of friends that worked there over the years... but it is true. Willi pricing tended to be haphazard... no one seemed to know much about clothing sales or pricing.
At Killingly used tops from Kohls are priced between $1.99 and $3.99. A fair price! And, better name brands are priced accordingly.

I do hope Salvation Army does open a store in Willimantic again. I would suggest having the folks at Killingly train the new workers.

Great place to go if you want to get lost for hours treasure hunting! You're not really *hunting however, this store is very well organized and CLEAN. I have found so many things I didn't know I wanted (or needed)! Definetly worth a gander.

This spot is a hit or miss. Definitely a good spot for board games, dvds just a little secret check the drawers where the records are. Some good dvd scores down there. Video games are a hit or miss sometimes you get lucky. Definitely worth checking out if your in the killingly area.

With the upgrades to a cleaner environment while holding onto the friendliest of staff, the new Slavo is a breath of fresh air for everyone. It's sticker shock may deter the impatient but if you look at value brands and 50% deals there is no reason for anyone to gripe about overpriced stuff. 5stars

I love this place, staff is awesome, the place is very clean, the selection is great. I got my clothes and my grandchildren clothes there.

The place looks better then most stores. Clean,clothes in good condition and very reasonable. I have truly missed during the shut down. I hope they are open now.
