Richmond Marriott

I have been staying at the Richmond Marriott over the past month. The staff is amazing. I love the chat feature since every request is taken care of. Shout out to Ladonna, Anita, Yolanda, Mario and Christian for being so kind. I was treated so well for my birthday. I made some great friends. Rooms are roomy, clean and comfortable. I scheduled an overnight stay at the Richmond Marriott for a work conference and this hotel exceeded my expectations. The rooms were extremely nice and the staff were kind, professional and went above and beyond to provide great service to me! I really enjoyed it and will definitely reserve a room there in the future!

Anthony was welcoming and helpful with my questions during check in. The rooms are updated and clean. The hotel is in a good location with street over walkways to the garage and convention center. It was a safe feeling environment for a female during work travel.

I would like to commend Anna in the M Club. Anna was energetic, pleasant and helpful. Honestly, she made my day seeing someone that seemed to be having fun and enjoying their job. Thank you Anna for helping me start my day off right.

Overall great place to stay, but a very basic and straightforward hotel room. Location was right next to the National theater, which is what I was there for.

Location is good, but not a cute neighborhood feel. Good sandwich spot and Ethiopian coffee nearby. Nearby parking lots.

Pleasantly surprised at the level of service.

The Valet was excellent especially Jebel, Quandel, Sean and Clutch.

In the restaurant Micah did a great job and helped get my food much faster than what she had indicated, a pleasant experience for certain.

The Valet and restaurant made up for a few minor things. Overall a very nice stay, I'll be back again soon

Stayed here for the Richmond marathon weekend. You can tell this city loves their marathon because this hotel did a lot to accommodate the runners. For example, they extended their restaurant hours (and made specific pasta special for the runners!) and the Starbucks downstairs opened at 5 AM instead of 6 AM on race morning. They supplied runners with water and snacks and even let random runners come into the hotel to use the bathrooms. HOW NICE! Front desk staff were very courteous. The hotel is less than a mile from the riverfront where there are tons of hiking trails and places to explore. If I ever come back for the marathon again, I will be staying here!

Really pleased with my stay. Claudia Clemente did a great job with my room and the team welcomed me with a nice welcome bag recognizing a recent special occasion. It’s things like that keep me coming back.

Very good customer service. Anna is the concierge lounge was especially amazing. We had a great visit.

Was here for a NACE conference with my company YTE Events and Balloon Decor and everything was great. Aside from the cold weather, loved just about everything this trip!

Excellent hotel and staff that was attentive and pleasant. What made the stay exquisite was the service from Amareya in the restaurant - she was very professional, hard working, comical, and going above and beyond her studies to work on the weekends! Kudos to Amareya!

Staff was amazing. Truly. My valet Kevin made me feel very confident that my car would be well cared for and was really welcoming. Sana at the front desk just catered to me for my entire stay and made me feel wonderful. Walking me to the elevator was an extra touch. Keisha went out of her way to get some items for me that I had requested prior to my stay and was so friendly and helpful. Thank you for the lovely staff.

I’m a huge Marriott fan and I have to admit I was happier than expected with my stay here. Richmond is finding its way back and your hotel is great. The valet staff were very nice and made me feel very welcome. At check in I had someone that was teaching a new employee but it was still great. He walked out from behind the desk after I checked in to answer some questions and give me some info. It was a really nice experience. That said the room was nice and very clean which I care about most. Have to also give a shout out to the bartender who mapped out our evening. Can’t remember her name but she just came off maternity leave and again was better than I expected. This is a great hotel in a good downtown location, but the staff is on point. Customer service and making you feel welcome is hard to come by post COVID, but not here. The staff absolutely makes this hotel worth staying at.

such a great stay! very walkable to great food like secret sandwich society, and a new restaurant i enjoyed called tarrant’s. the fitness center is clean and has plenty of options! the room was perfectly clean and i always love getting the pillow spray :). specifically, an employee named Anthony made this trip great! I stay in hotels about half of the month for my work, and it’s great to have customer service so genuine. He offered me and my coworkers coffee before the starbucks ever opened, as we had a very early departure, and made sure i had a great overall stay. Thank you Anthony! You made our day!

We did not spend the night in this hotel, as we did not realize it was so close to the national theater! We did, however, have a wonderful dinner before our show. We sat outside on the patio
We enjoyed delicious cocktails, and a wonderful meal! Everybody was friendly, and the service was great. I recommend this Marriott Highway.

Being somebody that spends half their life in hotels I just hate them in general. Nothing to do with the property but the reality of being in a room. Away from home all by myself. The one thing that can turn a lonely hotel room into an amazing experience is the staff and this is where this hotel shines like a diamond.

Every morning around midnight to 1 am I go out to run around to get my exercise so I can do my Apple fitness. Obviously when I go out to do my exercise I go thru the lobby of these hotels. Here at the Marriott in Richmond every time I would enter or exit the hotel I was greeted by one of the friendliest clerks I have ever come across in any hotel or motel I have ever stayed at. His name is Anthony Peters. Not only does he have a good demeanor and great personality, he is just a great human being. Every time I came back from my run he had ice cold water and a towel waiting for me and even remembers my name as I was coming and going. For the case of this hotel. Anthony is truly the person that has made what would he a mediocre lonely hotel stay feel like I’m staying with people that treat me like a family member visiting in a warm familiar house. Due to the way I was treated here by Anthony, next time I’m in Richmond I will stay here again. The Marriott Richmond is not just some other hotel. They treat you like a family member and turn a boring business trip into staying in a place that feels almost as good as home. Five stars all the way.

As far as the property is concerned. This is an older hotel but seems to have been recently renovated. Rooms are very nice and quiet. Beds are comfortable and the shower is very warm. Good elevator service and food is available in the lobby.

- minor cleanliness issues (mattress had some stains on it)

In conclusion no hotel is perfect however this one is definitely way above average and like I have said several times the staff here is amazing and I highly recommend this hotel if you are looking for a place to be your home away from home in Richmond.

Parents were traveling through Richmond and I chose Marriot for the place where they would stay on the night of October 4th 2023. Was a bit nervous as they need help moving around from time to time. Called front desk and was greeted by a person named Christian. Told Christian that my parents may need a bit of help once they arrived. My parents didn't know that I called the hotel ahead of time but a day later, they told me about this 'wonderful gentleman that was so accommodating with our bags and helped us to the room' and I almost started crying because THIS is what excellent service looks like. They ranted and raved about Christian and noted that they would love to stay there again when passing through. To Christian and the team at Richmond Marriott, thank you so much for being of service to my parents. It means the world to me and they clearly appreciated your thoughtfulness and support. 5/5 stars. I'm a professional chauffeur. I dropped off a client at the hotel. They would give you better details than I would. But I hardly recommend giving him a try and stay

Lenar and Valencia at the front desk absolutely saved my night - they were incredibly helpful. I got in late and my name wasn’t on the reservation but they were able to work with me to get me into the room. Fabulous service and staff thank you so much
