Friendly staff that will try their best to answer any questions, sometimes hard to find a worker tho. They have a very large selection of pet food and supplies. I’ve purchased a few a kinds of fish, crabs, bearded dragon and a snake here and was happy with the purchases. We get live crickets for our bearded dragon and the workers get them bagged and ready pretty quick. Always have kitties for adoption as well! Pretty live snakes, lizards, birds and other animals here too for purchase.

Manager of the reptile department is THE MOST helpful and knowledgeable lady I have ever got help from, so on point with advice and suggestions on care and problem solving, always very personable and compassionate. Best place to shop and get any pet related help here!

I used to avoid this store because it was always gross, and it seemed like there was never anyone there to help, but recently they under went new management and the store has done a complete 180 turn around. The people are friendly, the store is clean and organized, and they have a good selection of items.

Helpful staff. Spent several hundred dollars on fish and supplies (start up can be a little pricey ). Had one fish die but they have a 30 day guarantee with receipt. (You don't have to bring the body with you.)
They helped me get started by telling me about the fish and how to maintain a healthy tank.

This is where I go to get my dwarf hamster and my beta fish necessities. They are polite and very timely fashioned. Their worker's are also very considerate. At least I never had to wait an hour to just get some crickets SMH ( shaking my head) as I had to deal with it at pet smart 😒 way to go to Petco for being timely fashioned💯

We were there to start filling our 55 gallon tank the gentleman that helped us was great! He knew what he was talking about and helped us pick some great starters for our tank. He also steered us clear of things that wouldn't be so great for our tank and things that our tank wasn't quite ready for. We did unfortunately lose one of our fish he was already not doing great by the time we got home and didn't last but maybe a couple of ours once in the tank. It was a flame dwarf gourami and I have read that they are susceptible to dying for no reason. So no fault of theirs I'm assuming. Said fish is chilling in the freezer until we can make another trip and our tank is ready for the shrimp, snails, frog, and loach we want to add.

Always clean and healthy animals. Staff is friendly and helpful.

(Bird NOT from Petco) I recently got a 2 month old cockatiel and brought it in Petco to get some new toys and food. We were asked if we needed help with anything. I was disappointed they didnt have tall floor stands or I would have bought one but overall I always find what I need here and everyone is nice and helpful

Our experience was awesome. The staff was very accommodating and knowledgeable, answered all of our questions, and were so friendly. I will be recommending Petco in Dubuque, IA to all of my friends!

The manager Rachel gave me great tips on how to care for my bearded dragon, she went out of her way to show and recommend us products. She was very nice and took time getting to know her customers and made for a great experience!

Rachel is amazing at her job. She’s always so caring and goes out of her way to make sure we got all the help we needed and helped us find new products that actually helped our pets. 10/10 experience

It is a pet store that I have visited several times. I chose it because of the spacious area, products that my animals love and offers an option to refill my litter containers which saves on the environment. Now during the pandemic they offer curb side pickup, which I like as well. The staff are welcoming, friendly, and eager to please.

The girls over the phone and in person were very helpful. They helped us to get our Ferret "Honey". They helped us to find adequate initial supplies within t being high pressure.

They have attachments to their stock which gave me a warm feeling. Multiple ladies bid "Honey" farewell.

Pet shops seem to catch a bad rap, but this location was very clean, and animals active. Gals cleaning aquariums, grooming a dog, etc.

The staff seem to keep very active and appear happy to be there.

Very pleasant experience! We went to the other pet store in town as well today. Overall, Petco appeared to be taking care of their animals a bit better, they interacted and engaged my youngest one - which is always a bonus! Overall very friendly, nice and knowledgeable!! We will definitely go back and make it our first stop!!

Always a good experience when I go there,I go every week and get my animals food, learn something new every time I go. They are very helpful always no what I want. Thanks staff for being so kind and helpful and keeping that store very neat and tidy, and always changing things around so we don't get board with same old store. Animals cages are always so clean love it!!!!!

When I walked in I was greeted promptly and I actually was looking for something to ease the pain of an older dog who over did it. The lady recommended Vets +Best aches and pains. She told me the proper dose and to give with food since some dogs may get an upset stomach when taking. The best part it that it actually worked and my dog is much better. Thank you!

Clean building and friendly staff. We stopped by to pick up some supplies for my fishtank and observed as one of the employees helped and guided a family in selecting the right supplies for their tank as well as guide them through the proper steps of maintaining the tank.

Although we have always been fans of Petco and their wonderful rewards program, this review isn't about the entire company; it's about this particular location.

We visited on 12/2/18 to take advantage of their awesome "Spend $100 on anything in the store, and get $40 off" sale, so we could stock up on about 6 months worth of dog food. The two young ladies who we saw for most of our time in the store were REMARKABLY friendly. They wery helpful and offered suggestions, but were never pushy, even in the slightest.
