Whip's Steakhouse

What a wonderful small town steakhouse! From the first step in the door the place is welcoming, bright, and clean. My wife and I seated ourselves, and the server came to our table right away for our drink order and took our food order when we were ready. She was very courteous. She checked on us a few times to see how we were doing and to keep our drinks filled.
I ordered the Swiss Mushroom Burger with Fries. The food came in a timely manner and was nice and hot. My burger was cooked to perfection, nice and juicy, but also not dripping all over with grease. The fries were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The spicy cheese curds had a light zing to them and were not the spicy that makes you not taste your food anymore (I don't like when you can't taste your food after something extra spicy). The flavor of the burger, fries, and cheese curds were exquisite. The portions were just right and the prices are very reasonable. I would have spent just as much, or more, at fast food and not gotten as tasty of food (nor a beer).
Well worth the 20min drive (I'd drive an hour for the wonderful food, service, and atmosphere at Whip's) 100% recommend Whip's.

I LOVE going to Whips!! The wait staff is super friendly and are very accommodating! I live 45 minutes away, and it is well worth the drive. The food there is absolutely amazing! The Prime Rib has to be the best is all SWI!

I can say that the previous times I went, they were good. It's solid food. They brought up their A-game recently and it got better.

Don’t know what those people were talking about but the food here is GREAT!! I’ve had family members come down or come over just to eat here. Brother in laws said the prime rib was the best they ever had especially for the price. Atmosphere is always great and friendly!! We love going to whips! ☺

Recently moved to Nebraska City and were out driving around and spotted Whip's. The waitress greeted us and was so friendly and welcoming! We had the pork sandwich, fried shrimp, onion rings and fried pickles. All were delicious and the service was excellent. Will definitely be back.

Love to come there and Drive Back To CB. Not for long driving. My bestest friend is in nursing home. not for Long. hehehe. Save her life too two

They are so friendly, the food is fantastic! If I could give them 10 stars, I would. Big asset for the community. Good food, good people.

Went to Whips on one of the busyest nights ever. Valentine's day but got to tell you waitress was the fastest and best. Had the sirlone steak. Which also was perfect medium rare. Hats off to the cook and waitress. Just move out here first time eating there will diffently go back

Wife and I rode down on motorcycle and came across this place. Food ribeye's were excellent and service was even better. We'll definitely be back!

Whipp's PORK TENDERLOIN sandwich is The BEST on the planet, PERIOD.

I am from Florida, but my wife is from Iowa. She introduced me to this SUPERB sandwich. What a Homerun. A must try from a traveling salesman who ate out all the time for 55 years.

Absolutely the best prime rib and beef brisket sandwiches I've had in 22 years of living in a nearby metro. Hands down!

The food is great, the service is great, the atmosphere if you don't have a peanut allergy is fun.
