Stoner Drug Co

My husband is from a small town. He tells childhood stories of walking to the local drug store to get something for his Nana and getting a fountain drink or milkshake and burger for himself.
I had never experienced that UNTIL we stopped overnight in Hamburg, Iowa.
It was such a delight to meet the ladies working there and enjoy being part of their small town for the day!

My husband and I stopped by on our honeymoon back in 2009. I had so much fun in this store. I still talk about it to this day. I hope I can visit one day again. We stopped because the signs on the side of the road pointed towards it. I couldn't stop laughing and bugged my new husband to stop. While there I bought a shot glass thus starting my shot glass collection.

This is the best drugstore ever. The people are so sweet and never meet a stranger. Very welcoming with great chicken salad sandwiches and chips! I still use the 7 day pill box they gave me. Hi, everyone! Thanks for the great welcome to Iowa!

Stoner Drug is more than a small town pharmacy. Besides the amusing name, this drug store is the hub of activity on Main street. They have a full service soda fountain, serving ice cream and pouring your sodas to order. The popcorn is always fresh (as you would expect in the town that hosts an annual "Popcorn Days" festival). The staff is very friendly and welcoming.

Stoner drug is another one hamburgs oldest businesses. This store has a pharmacy, gift shopping area that ranges from childrens toys to newborn necessaties, both of which are unique to the average items you would purchase at walmart. Stoners has a section in the back right corner of the store where u can grab a bite to eat or enjoy a chocolate malt. Friendly service in a small town setting makes for one of the best pharmacies around!

Excellent service & selection of items. The soda fountain is a great place for a coffee or gourmet soda!

We went just because it has a fountain and shake shop inside. We got some yummy shakes.
