Wonderful food, great atmosphere. They weren't too friendly, not rude either. However, the service was quick and efficient. 5 stars where it really matters. Would definitely come back.

Very impressed with everything here. The service was great, friendly and efficient. The food was excellent. The warm chips with queso and guacamole really were so good. We ate way too many. I heard the strawberry margarita was also top notch.

A selfie today with my friend Miguel, owner of the La Cabana Mexican Restaurant in Newton. Pam and I have eaten at La Cabana since they first opened about 25 years ago. The Chili Colorado has always been my favorite, however, due to having gout and needing to watch my diet beef is no longer an option for me. I don't know why in the past I never thought of having chicken instead of beef with my colorado but that's changed forever now. If you like a little, maybe a bit more than than a little spicy, this dish is made for you. Nice spice heat without going overboard, along with a wonderful flavor, the chicken is incredibly tender and delicious, the mexican rice is great by itself or as I prefer, mixing some in with the chicken and the sauce. La Cabanas refried beans are epic, smooth and creamy, simply mouthwatering, just didn't want my meal to end.
As you can clearly see from the last photo La Cabana wins my coveted cleaned plate award, actually licked plate award. This is an excellent Mexican Restaurant, serving mouthwatering delicious food along with great service, very much worth the drive, no matter where you live.
I give them my highest recommendation and feel fortunate they are right here in Newton.

Always a good stop in Newton. Food is fresh and hot. Portions are always big. Fijita quesadilla is good. Carnitas are tasty. Drinks are never empty.

Amazing food fresh chips and very quick service the food was very hot and delicious I love this place and it great atmosphere for date night or night with the girls or co workers or just because occasions. Highly recommend there is options for vegetarian and for the kids that dont want to have Mexican cuisine there is chicken tenders .

We were a group of five, everyone loved their dinner, along with great service. Three of us had margaritas, trek with ice, one frozen, all commented how tasty they were also.

My Special Ladyfriend and I came here for dinner after a pretty long absence and everything was as good as we rembered. I had the fajitas marinas and it was fantastic. The service was excellent and we are already looking forward to returning.

Good place for some great food.

Always a go-to for Mexican food. Only had one mess that's never happened before. My friend wanted her coke refilled, but they filled it with tea. Started getting busy, so maybe the lady was in a hurry.

We stop here when we travel. Lots of good food and prices are good too.

We were on a cross country trip and stopped in Newton. We picked La Cabana for a quick meal and couldn’t have been more pleased! Clean, fast, great service, priced right and best of all it was delicious! Highly recommended!

I got a door dash delivery of a fish and shrimp dinner with Mexican rice, guacamole and salad. I am surprisingly impressed. Delicious!

Awesome food and quick and fast service. Our waitress was amazing and all employees were very busy at all times. Quite reasonable pricing as well. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone and everyone. Very relaxed setting. Excellant drinks and a huge variety on their menu.

Wonderful local restaurant. We have been going here ever since I was young. Some of the staff know my name, and I always feel welcome when I come in! They have AMAZING flautas and fajitas. Lunch specials are also worth checking out. It’s a must go spot for Mexican food in the area.

Had the Birria Birria tacos. Great flavor. Husband had Carne Asada, my mom had a chimichanga. We enjoyed our food.

Excellent service. All your favorite Mexican menu items and few that might surprise you. Tortillas that taste like they were just made. The shrimp fajitas were very generous with the shrimp and the vegetables were not overcooked. The rice and beans both had a classic flavor but with a unique flair that just popped. I will eat here anytime I'm in Newton.
