Midland Prairie Veterinary Services

We have been going to Midland Prairie Veterinary Services ever since they opened. They have two locations, one in Colfax and one in Maxwell. We have been to both and both are excellent. They are very knowledgeable and you can tell that they care about you and your pet. Here a picture of our Charley waiting patiently to see Dr Ashley.

I’ve been to 3 of their offices, and the staff at all 3 are always friendly and helpful! I’ve worked with a few of the vets and have loved them all!

We decided to try them out and are so happy we did. They are soo gentle and kind to the animals and humans. Our dog got his teeth cleaned and the experience therr was much better than at a different vet. Techs and vets are very knowledgeable and considerate.

What is there not to love about this place! Everyone is always so friendly and helpful. Such a warm greeting from their resident cat. We drive from Altoona to here, that's how awesome they all are.

We had to say goodbye to our 17 year old sweet pup. The staff was amazing helping us say goodbye. They also continue to provide great service for our other two pups after recently moving from out of state.

Had our dog in to Colfax for a pre surgery check up before neuter. The staff is extremely friendly and clearly explained everything pre and post surgery. We have been very satisfied with the service and the prices are some of the best in the metro. I think we have found our new veterinarian.

Best vet I've ever worked with. Friendly, caring, and knowledgeable. They explain things well and make sure you understand. Our dog is not the greatest patient but they do great with her and make it a more pleasant experience for everybody.

This clinic is full of highly qualified professionals who are patient, kind and caring. Exactly what u want for your animals. Love the care Dr. Meredith gives to our large animals.

I am beyond pleased with your staff at the colfax location. The vet tech (i don’t remember her name) and Dr Keysha took the time to fully listen to us and we’re both so respectful and kind. You treated my dog as if he was your own and I could not be more thankful for you compassion. I also appreciate Dr Keysha being very transparent and making sure we understood everything, being so personable, and treating our family more like friends than the owners of an animal. One thing Keysha said that stuck out to me was “we not only take care of the animals, we take care of the people too”. That was the most reassuring, kind, thoughtful thing and no vet has ever spoke to us like that. We will be making Midland our primary vet for our other 2 animals as well. Thank you so much

I love taking my fur babies here!! The people working here are awesome and seem to love your pets as much as you do! They are extremely popular (I now understand why) so be sure you call in advance to book appointments. As of this review they were booking about 4 weeks out. Highly recommend!

Great place to know when you have sick goats...the doctors are very helpful and knowledgeable.

I I love Midland Prairie Veterinary. Everybody is so friendly. They even get down on the floor to make my dog feel welcome. And the rates are very reasonable compared to Des Moines veterinaries.

The care & compassion they give is priceless!!! Thank you for taking such good care of our girls; Mamie, Lilly & Jenny.

I don't have any experience dealing with a bed Vet, but both Midland Prairie Locations have treated me and my dogs very well. Had an emergency where the Vet met me after hours( I don't think they have to do that and it was greatly appreciated), the prices are very reasonable and the staff is friendly. I recommend them to all my friends and family.

Great vet for our dogs. They accommodate emergency or urgent appointments. They were also very compassionate and caring when our lab was at the end of her life, sending us paw prints and a card with her ashes.

Love this place. They are great with my cats and affordable.

Love the staff here. I have 2 cats and a pup and they are always very thorough. I've never had a vet that listened to heart tones and lung sounds on my cats til we came here. Always friendly and they truly are looking out for the best interest of your fur babies <3
