Blue Ribbon Diner

Happened upon this gem. It was a bit unexpected. Great food with large portions. Not a lot of atmosphere, just a great little dinner. 👍

This place is really big and it was packed when I got lunch there. The Beef Manhattan was excellent...

I stopped on a Monday for lunch, and I ordered the Hot Turkey sandwich along with a cup of soup. The soup was delicious, and you could tell it was homemade, it was so tasty.

As far as the Turkey, it was shredded instead of sliced and to be honest I like sliced much better. The shredded Turkey seemed dry to me, but the gravy helped a lot and was very tasty. The vegetables were green beans, and they were some of the best beans I have ever had.

Overall, this was a great meal, and I will stop again, just next time I will order something different.

We were in town for an event at the fairgrounds and came out early Saturday morning to try this place. I wanted some eggs and bacon. If you're not getting an omelette, the options were 1 egg or 2 eggs, and I was thinking that was not much, but 2 eggs were actually a lot, considering you get hash browns and toast. My friend wanted blueberry pancakes and they were as big as your head! Everything was GREAT! We'll be back!

I was looking for a good breakfast on the way east from Indiana and picked this. Parking lot nearly full before 8:00AM, a good sign. What a good meal, eggs, hashbrowns, and bacon just as I like it. There is one problem, though: it's 200 miles from my home. Hell of a trip for a meal. I'll have to look for a place to park the camper, problem solved.

This was my first time at Blue Ribbon Diner. The food was good but the portions are huge. The biscuits and sausage gravy were delicious. The hash browns were also cooked to almost perfection with a nice crispness to it. Their bacon was also on point. Can’t wait to try their lunch next time I am in town.

The place is family friendly and the waitress memorized our large order and got it right, very impressive. Majority of the meals come with a soup which I was not thrilled about at first, but I was surprised by how delicious it was, made me want more :) however my sandwich was just as delicious. I highly recommend this place.

Cold winters afternoon .. comfort food at its BEST! The fish fry reminds me of the family meals after a weekend fishing trip! Fresh , fried and flavorful fish dinner. I was surprised to see the peas- they taste like my grandmas from the garden. Other meals in my party - the roast beef with gravy - my husband got extra gravy. French toast made with fresh thick bread in early dinner menu. We all got the fresh brewed ice tea.
The service was A plus - quick refills and checking in on us! Extremely clean .. easy parking out in the country. I will definitely be back out to enjoy another meal.

Ps: huge portions - I brought 1/2 the fish and fries home along with a piece of carrot cake! 🤗

A tremendous amount of good food for a low price. Excellent and friendly service. Large portions. Not-fastfood option that’s on Sundays which is rare in the area. Great omelettes. Hash browns need improving. They never stop offering to top off your coffee. Good bacon and good toast. Would recommend.

What a joy to find this place! Conveniently located next to the hotel I was staying at, the food here is very well done, VERY reasonably priced and served quickly. During 3 day stay, I had the pleasure of visiting 2x. Fried bologna was the lunch special on my first visit (very good) and had the fried fish my second visit. Service was very good as well and always with a smile. If you're in the area, recommend a visit.

Good Day to everyone well it's nice to sit down again in a very unique restaurant visited the Blue Ribbon this morning 🌄 to eat some breakfast very clean place lots of room. The waitress where Wearing masks, friendly service look like they have homemade pies 🥧 they look so delicious. Well I ordered the Sunrise 🌅 breakfast 😋 with includes 2 eggs half ordered of biscuits and gravy and bacon 🥓 😋 and so go go go juice coffee ☕

This was a delightful surprise for us. Delicious food all served fresh and hot. Service was amazing and there was no waiting even though they were pretty busy on a Sunday morning. We will be back!

Loved our food great taste good size everything steaming Hot, Had a meatlover skillet chicken quesadilla and everything tasted really good.

Great diner with home style comfort foods. I saw some complaints about the price, blame POTUS for that. You get what you pay for. I have been there for breakfast and lunch, haven't been disappointed.

Excellent food. Walked over from the Best Western after a long day of driving. Best chicken noodle soup I've ever had. Large portions and friendly service. Didn't have dessert, but it sure looked delicious!

Very nice. Got there right before closing but they stayed open and provided an excellent meal.

Blue ribbon is my favorite place to eat in wauseon. Breakfast all day. No matter what you order on the menu, you will be shocked by the amount of food you get, everyone I have ever taken here mentions how it's "so much food". My personally recommended dish is on the breakfast menu, porkchops and eggs. You receive 2 fried pork chops, 2 eggs (but I swear I get 3 eggs sometimes), you get a choice between hash browns or a fruit bowl, and then you get a choice between pancakes or toast. I always get hash browns and pancakes. Their pancakes are amazing in my opinion, I think they add vanilla? I can also recommend anything on their breakfast skillet menu. Servers work hard and I always tip them well.
