Strip's Chicken

We were in the KC area from out of town for a 4d sonogram and they sent us to Strips for lunch. I happy very happy that we took their advice.
The chicken was fantastic. I ordered the hot and honey chicken sandwich. There was nothing hot nor honey about it, but it was still so good. The chicken was tender and juicy.
My wife got the chicken nuggets, they were fresh cut chicken breast, not the processed shapped crude you get everywhere else.
Tons of sauce choices, I need to get my hands on a gallon of their secret sauce!
The Mac and cheese was steller, they had a cheese drenched burger on their menu that I am going to need in my life soon.
The coleslaw was so good I had to get more orders to go for my wife to eat later in the night.
The restraunt was clean and staff very friendly.
If you don't try this place at least once, you are doing yourself a disservice.

Update: went inside to order today. Dining area is okay, but a little dark. Only one couple in there eating at a dining table. I got the Tenderloin Smashed Box and got the Tenderloin Sandwich for my wife (all to go). An enormous amount of food for two people. The mashed potatoes with bacon, cheese, and gravy on top of the huge tenderloin is more than enough for two people to eat. And it's was delicious. A fantastic meal with plenty left over for later for one person. My wife also loved the Tenderloin sandwich and had to eat pieces of the tenderloin off the outside of the sandwich and then cut the sandwich in half to even hold it. She has more than half of her sandwich wrapped up and left over for tomorrow! She said the breading was very flavorful and super crispy.
Previous: Went through the drive-thru, so I don't know what the inside is like.
Got the #15 Pork Tenderloin sandwich with keto buns instead of the regular buns.
The tenderloin is very well seasoned and delicious. I could not identify all the spices they used, but there is something unusual in there that tastes like a spice I've had in Indian food. Not sure what it is, but it made the flavor perfect for me (no, I'm not of Indian descent, but I love Indian food!)
I was so happy they had a keto bun option as I am diabetic and need to eliminate carbs everywhere I can. Overall, I thought it was one of the best Pork Tenderloins I've had in the Olathe area.
Will definitely be coming back to try more!

Always great food. I was in no hurry today and dining in. There was about a 10-12 min wait for my food. Again, I was in no rush. I ordered the 3 piece strips meal and a bowl of white chicken chili to go. My fav! I wasn't aware the meal did not include a drink. I told the guy taking my order I forgot my glasses and couldn't see the menu board. I know they were busy but that would have been a great upsale and suggestion to make when I ordered. Either way, loved my food! ❤ Totally need more locations!

High quality, fantastic/caring staff, clean, great variety. You name it, Strips does it!

My mom has to have very low sodium due to a heart attack. The staff didn't even blink an eye at grilling us tenders with no salt on them, and unsalted French fries. The guy at the grill had them on before we finished explaining everything to the cashier!

This is THE BEST fast food restaurant in all of KC and it’s not close. If you haven’t been, go today. Every meal you have until you have eaten here is a waste. This is your new favorite spot. The best burger. The best chicken. The best menu. Don’t ask me what the best item on the menu is, it’s all great. The home made sauces are flawless I can never pick just 1 or 2 I always have to have a little of all of it. This is a restaurant for people who like good flavorful food. A local gem. I go every time I’m in town and I always bring people who have never been and they always become regular customers.

We happened upon this place by accident after a long week of traveling and being tired of fast food. We weren't super hungry and are light eaters at times and so we each ordered just 3 strips with gravy, no sides. I also tried to add donuts to the order but the super friendly (and funny) kid at the speaker said unfortunately their donut machine had gone down the night before.
The strips and gravy we received totally made up for it. The strips were the perfect combo of cruncy and juicy and the seasoning was excellent. The gravy was great too! I often order gravy with strips and am also often disappointed in said gravy. Not this time! This was gravy like my mom would make. Everything was delicious and even though we were full my BFF and I agreed we would totally have kept eating if we had more food.
I don't live local so I won't be back for awhile, but I pass by Olathe a lot when traveling to my hometown and back and have marked this down as a definite stop for the future.
The owner put a nice message on the receipt about wanting to make sure his customers have a great experience, so we shot him a message. Not something I normally do but we were so impressed and wanted to let him know.

The chicken is excellent! I love their strips. The chicken sandwich is HUGE! The fries have great seasoning on them. The mini donuts are a nice little treat with combos. The pork burger wasn't all that impressive. I really like the Strips Secret Sauce! This place needs a location closer to where I live. I'd eat here a lot!

This was my (and my spouse's) first visit to Strip's. The crispy nuggets were delicious, and we enjoyed trying the various dipping sauces. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. We'll definitely be back!

Stopped in this unassuming little place on our way home from the city, had not heard of it but family was tired and hungry. Wow were we surprised! The chicken is so tender and flavorful, burger and fries cooked and seasoned to perfection. We have this saved now as a place we must return to when in the area again! 10 stars on this one!

Strip's Chicken - Chicken Strips and Pork Burgers is, simply, amazing and a must. This is our third time eating at Strips, twice here and once at their Waldo location. All three times was perfect.

If you're in for an artery clogging good time get the More Love Burger and prepare for a messy, porky extravaganza.

If you want some amazing sides the onion strings or fried pickles & jalapenos will hit your deep fried heart. The homemade mac&cheese is just like grandma would make, none of that cheese powder business.

These chicken strips put Chick-fil-A to shame with crispy batter and perfect seasonings, along with choices of mostly made in house sauces. Their Farmhouse is one of the best ranch dressings I've had.

Now for my favorite - the massive pork tenderloin sandwich. One of the pics has a fork for scale. I've had this baby twice and both times it was wonderful. This is easily the best pork tenderloin sandwich I've had. Again they have some how made a perfect breading, fried to a crispy crunch. Often these cuts are pounded so thin you feel you get all breading, but not here. They give you a nice thick piece of pork. Cut this baby in half and enjoy it with a friend, or gorge yourself in all of the fried porky goodness.

Strips is an Olathe institution and it deserves to be. The owner, Todd, is working hard every day to produce some of the best "fast" food around. I often get the mac & cheese bowl (pictured) and it's about as close to gourmet as you can get. But you can't go wrong with their namesake "Strips" and their great array of sauces. I've only tried about half the stuff on the menu and have never had something I didn't love. This place is the real deal and the lines in the drive through are a testament to that! They keep 'em moving though.

Staying in town for work, and I'm so happy I found this place! The honey hot chicken sandwich is AMAZING, the fries are great, and the baby donuts are DELICIOUS!!! The prices are fair, the service was quick, and the staff are super friendly.

Pros:
1) Unique & varied menu (chicken, pork burgers, donuts, good selection of sides, good selection of sauces)
2) Friendly staff
3) Tasty & high quality food
4) Fries were crispy and hot - more peppery than salty, though
5) The pink lemonade was surprising good - usually lemonade is too something, but this lemonade has just about the right amount of sourness without too much sweetness while still being flavorful

Cons:
1) Price (average ~$11 for a combo pre-tax)
2) The bacon unimpressive - felt like it was microwaved

1) I’m very hesitant about going to any chicken place (zaxbys, slims chicken, chick fil a, church’s chicken, pop eyes, etc...) because I find their food to be either lacking flavor or lacking in portion size. Here at Strip’s I found myself satisfied on both counts

Strips has the biggest, most delicious chicken strip sandwich. My wife loves the food, and I don't disagree. We usually go through the drive thru or use Uber eats. Either way, the food is always good.

This place is the crown jewel for fast food in Kansas. Yes, I said the entire state of Kansas. I’ve had several items from their menu. Cannot rate any of them lower than an 8/10! Absolutely ❤ the Smashed Box w/Pulled Pork & Cheese Fries!!!

Do yourself a favor and go get something at Strips Chicken 🐔

We got the family meal with strips and nuggets, fries, mashed potatoes, and donuts. Everything was great! The donuts are mini cake donuts and you can choose lots of different flavor toppings. Construction around the restaurant is bad right now but don’t let that deter you, it’s worth it!

It’s been awesome seeing this place develop its menu over the years. Always awesome food with unique sauces for the chicken strips. Burgers, pork burgers, delicious.

They have mastered the art of frying. We love their fries, fried pickles and pickled jalapeño. They also know how to cook pork-may it be pulled pork, laua, or pork sandwiches. Definitely a place to go for deep fried comfort foods. Staff is kind and friendly 💗 keto and gluten free options are available!!! Give it a go!!

It's been a year and I'm updating my review. The crispy portabella strips are the best fried mushrooms I've tried. The pork rinds are very good. The gluten free nuggets are a favorite. The chicken strips are very good. The wings are not exactly what I personally want in a wing, but if you judge them by what they are, they're delicious. The Mac and cheese on Mondays is pretty good and for gluten free it's astonishing. The fried pickles and jalapenos are awesome but I have to get the mushrooms these days. Their strawberry barbeque sauce is very tasty and a go-to for me. Their pink lemonade is very good. The donuts are good and a co-worker loves the cinnamon roll ones. A friend loves their jalapeno relish and jalapeno pork burger. I have not tried their: smashed potatoes, sweet potato tots, pork anything, okra, gizzards (I hear are good but I'm no gizzard expert), or fries. I think they offer so many great items it's like two businesses in one but I am happy with the things I have tried. Over the last year strips has become a weekly go-to for lunch for me and my coworkers. I would highly recommend ingredients it if you're looking to support a small local business with amazing food, gluten free, or want to try a unique perspective on the fast food chicken space. With the mushrooms, chicken, sauces, lemonade and employee dedication it comes off as a mom-and-pop but with the focus on customer experience, variance in offerings, multiple order points, and interactive social media it comes off as something huge.

The food is fantastic from top to bottom. You can tell they train their employees very well and they have a great attitude. We always enjoy going to Strips.
