Houlihan's

Visited here for a weekday lunch for KC Restaurant Week and had a pretty good experience! The hostess opened the interior door for us and greeted us right away. She was very friendly and gave us the option of a high top or low table. The high top seating was relatively comfy which to me most high tops end up being an un-comfy stool with no padding.

Our server was a nice guy and did a great job through our whole meal. Between the two of us we ordered: the Chicken Tortilla Soup & Roasted Tomato Bisque for Course 1; So. Cal Fish Tacos and Brentwood Chicken Sandwich for Course 2; and the Vanilla Bean Cheesecake and Crème Brûlée for Course 3. The tomato bisque was very hearty, well seasoned, and I loved the grilled cheese fritters! My mom said the tortilla soup was a little bland but had good ingredients. The fish tacos were about what I expected but that is not a dig - they were prepared well and had a great taste! The tortilla chips were warm and salted perfectly but the salsa was just too sweet with no spice. The chicken sandwich was huge and pretty standard. The cheesecake was rich, thick, and had a nice balance of caramel and cheesecake flavor. And of course the brûléed vanilla cream really elevated it! The Crème Brûlée was so delicious and had that iconic crispy top. I will say it had a more subtle if not duller flavor than most that I've had but overall, it was really fantastic!

Overall, we had a really good lunch here at Houlihan's and even though I visit here maybe yearly, I usually expect this kind of experience. The food is always really good and I don't think I've ever had bad service here. It is nice that they are one of the participating restaurants for Restaurant Week and they give a 3 course lunch that includes Crème Brûlée!

Came this evening for a birthday celebration. CACHE did well handling our group plus her other tables. Good customer service from the greeter to the server.

First-time customer came for happy hour Friday 10/14/2022. Me and friend sat in the bar area open seating. Our server Katie did a great job checking in frequently. The drinks are great, and I loved the Stuffed Mushrooms. The pricing is very affordable, and the atmosphere is great. We ended up staying from 3:15pm-6pm. Time flies when you're enjoying yourself.

I've always thought of Houlihan's as a bit of an outlier - not really competing with high-end restaurants. Not really the kind of place that I would go for Valentine's Day or take out of town guests. But the truth is I've enjoyed a lot of really good meals at Houlihan's, and our recent visit was no exception.

Our group had a variety of foods - salads, burgers, chicken strips, kids meals, some appetizers. And they all ranged from very good to outright special. Combine this with a fun atmosphere and good service and very surprisingly reasonable prices and you have a winner.

We came here for Happy Hour … and let me tell you it’s probably the best in the area! Drink prices are extremely reasonable and the quality is outstanding. Peter and Devin, our bartenders, were friendly, knowledgeable about fine spirits, and created many inside jokes in our short time at the bar. This is your Friday night stop! We had the cauliflower, burger, egg rolls, oak aged Manhattan, bleeding rose (insta-worthy!), and the LIT (best bang for your buck). Also you could tell the whole staff was all-hands-on-deck!

Hi. So I had a not so great experience at another location and the GM was able to make it right and give me a credit. This is no bash to them. But this time I decided to come to this location since I hadn’t been in a while. I am so happy that I did. I had the BEST experience & the food is so good. I’m eating as I type this. I got the crab & shrimp dip app & vanilla cheesecake with the brûlée on top. 😋😋 okay. Chelsey, the manager, made this such a nice time for me. The service was amazing & the food is Godly. Shoutout to this location! I will be a forever customer.

Went for father's day. Had a great time! Service & food was excellent! (I did get the wrong side on the father's day special I ordered, but it was still really good.) Definitely glad we went there, give it a try. I don't think you'll be disappointed!

This place actually had some really interesting flavors. The quality seemed good. We got some undercooked potatoes and a cold creme brulee, but it wasn't bad. A little disappointed for the price. The service and atmosphere were exceptional, though.

I’m giving FIVE stars because of our server PETER!!! He was absolutely amazing!!! So kind, checked on us in a timely manner! I enjoyed my first time experience here JUST because of him! So impressed! The food was delicious and the drinks were also! My family had the stuffed chicken and I had the grilled chicken salad! YUM! I will be back JUST because of Peter!!

Very good. My 2nd time, family's 1st. Steak was cooked perfectly.

We had a great time coming here. Our server Todd did an absolute amazing job. He was very attentive and our meals came out perfect. It was my first time here. Definitely will be back.

Tonight we had a Great meal and we had SUPER SERVICE from Mike K. My wife and I eat out alot, so we are a good judge of service. I can say that Mike has to be one of our top servers. Maybe the best we have ever had. Anyway you look at it, he is the best. Hope we get him again in the future.

Derek V was phenomenal!!!! We had the most amazing experience because of his wonderful, friendly service! The food was very good—crab/shrimp dip was OVER THE TOP SO GOOD. But Derek really made our whole night with his recommendations, funny, joyful spirit!

Everything was fantastic! Great food and great service. Came here for the first time on Valentines Day with a reservation and got sat at our table immediately. Food came out quickly and hot. Forgot the servers name but great service from him a little too attentive but very much appreciated the hospitality. Definitely will be coming back soon.

Good food. Great service. Good place for big groups. We had 8 people, got us in quick.. Pork dumplings were delicious. Hot and delicious food. And again the staff was awesome.

Samantha was our server and she was amazing! Annnnd we have the same name! She took great care of us and helped me to accommodate my vegetarian diet! Highly recommend and ask for Samantha…she’s a fantastic server!

Stopped in for a quick lunch during KC restaurant week. The food was delicious and the service was phenomenal. Kizzie was our server and she was amazing!!! I definitely recommend the salted caramel ooey gooey cake!

Lunch @houlihans. The food and service were really good but I gotta tell you, my fish and chips were probably the best I have ever had in my life. The amount of breading was perfect and it was cooked just right. The Fancy Fried Cheese appetizer with tomato rosa sauce was delicious. My wife and mother-in-law both loved their French Onion soup. Great job Houlihan's, the cooks nailed it.

Wait staff were all very polite, despite patron frustrations at the wait time for seating, but that was only 15 minutes during the late lunch hour. Like most restaurants now, they were severely understaffed for such a large dining room. We all need to be mindful of staff shortages now and be respectful of our wait staff work force. The food was excellent, as was the service. Food came out to the table very quickly. I had the fish tacos which I highly recommend.

Mike was AMAZING! It was never a time where I had to look up and need him, he was very attentive. The food was great so was the atmosphere. The manger was also AMAZING
