AdventHealth Medical Group Internal Medicine & Pediatrics at South Overland Park

I have seen 3 doctors in this practice since it opened. Dr Greenfield, Dr Lorentz (who has now moved out of state) and Dr Schultz. They have all been caring and have worked me in when needed. After a recent surgery I got a call from their office to see how I was doing and if there was anything they could do to help me. I have not hesitated to refer this office.

Love this office- everyone is friendly and helpful, from the desk staff to the nurses to the lab. Dr. Moore was especially nice.

I've been a patient here for a few years and have had a handful of issues with this practice. As with most large healthcare organizations, care seems rushed at times. I'm giving them 1 star, as most recently I wasn't able to make my annual physical as I travel, etc. I worked with the care advocate to reschedule for a time I would be able to come in and there wasn't availability for my availabile times. I take a non-narcotic maintenance med daily and have asked the office to refill it until I can come in. Instead of refilling it, they have refused and even suggested I catch a flight to see them. How rude. If I chose to get an annual physical that is my personal preference as a service to myself and my health. No one is mandating that I go see the doctor yearly. I've been every year and can't understand why they are gatekeeping my prescription. I'm not asking for a refill on a narcotic, I'm asking for a refill on a std med used to support basic bodily function. Rather than working with me and supporting me as a patient they would rather me go without my medicine until I can "catch a flight to KS" to get my blood work done. For this I'm giving them a well-deserved 1 star.

RUN, don't walk away from this office. We started going to this office when it opened and loved the providers. Over time they have all left (guess they knew something!). The current providers are okay, but the office and support staff are the absolute worst I've ever dealt with. Not sure if they take any kind of oath, but there is zero effort made to provide any kind of service or care. Unanswered phone calls, unreturned messages, rude and condescending attitudes, difficulties in getting even basic response or assistance. Not worth dealing with them - wasted too much time with this group and will be moving on.

STAY FAR AWAY! I have been attending this office since inception when my primary care physician moved to this location. The front office staff is great. Losing a Doctor is never easy, but Advent made this extremely difficult and attempted to make money off of me during this. To refil prescriptions that my long-time physician had prescribed (just a refil), they refused and suggested I see a specialist. No Doctor there has ever been helpful to me outside of my old primary. Absolutely horrible experience and zero care put into the process. I will not be returning to Advent and am considering filing complaints anywhere that I can. Advent has also mastered never answering, and doing all they can to keep you from reaching your doctor!
