Olathe Health Urgent Care - Gardner Edgerton

Very impressed with the service and care I received here. Went to the Urgent Care, walked in at 4:00, was scheduled for a 5:00 appointment, was seen at 4:30, had an X-ray done, and was out the door by 5:15.

Went to Urgent Care of this office today. The NP I saw was great! Very compassionate and caring. There was a hiccup with my scripts being sent to the pharmacy, when I called Gardner Family Care to have them resent they were very apologetic and made sure everything was taken care of. 10/10 would recommend to family and friends.

Receptionists are great; honest and compassionate! Doctors and nurses are kind, knowledgeable, and waste no time figuring out what's going on with yiu. They accept people up until closing time and stay until everyone who checked in is seen. It's sometimes a thankless job and people don't see how hard they work to accomodate everyone. Sometimes you are going to wait a little longer but that's a small price to pay when you receive the level of care that you do.

I took my son here ro get 2 tests done and the staff and the doctor was great! I think the Dr had the last name Brown. He was really attentive to my son and was very good with him! I recommend this place! My son had a pretty good experience there. :)

We've been going here for 15 years. Dr. Morrison and his nurses are wonderful. Very caring and attentive. We live about 30 minutes away but I wouldn't go anywhere else.

Great experience with Dr. Punswick. Low wait times fast test results. knowledgeable and listens.

When I got to the walk-in clinic at 5pm with a very visibly sick little kid, we were turned away saying they don't have anymore walk in appointments available and said we could go to Arbor Creek in Olathe. But Arbor creek also closes at 6:30.... very frustrating and upsetting to be told to leave and drive further away or come back tomorrow when my child is obviously very ill. Very disappointed in this location especially since my child had been seen and treated there in the recent past.

We have had good and bad experiences here. Mostly bad though especially by the front end staff.

Told 45m wait and was told originally if we left the parking lot we’d lose our place, asked because I was going to need to pump soon (breastfeeding). Ends up being over an hour, call for an update since we had to wait in the car. Still multiple people in front of us. Call 30 min later for an update because I was past due for pumping and let them know that. Was told I was next to be called back. Was another 15m but once inside they knew the need to rush because I needed to pump. They ran the test for my son and said they’d call with the results so I could get home to pump but gave me the necessary info of next steps for either way the test went. By the time they finished explaining we had the test results and were outta there.

Needed urgent care to get meds, was 99% sure I had strep. Was 20m away (on a good day but it was a snowy day) from the office so I called to verify when they were stopping taking more patients for the night since I’ve experienced they stop earlier that close if too many are in line. They said 5:30 which was exactly 20m away so I asked if I could get in line before I got there or if I had to be in the parking lot. They required to be in the parking lot and said I could come at 7am next day. Told them my 9m old was scheduled for surgery 6:30am next day so I wanted to prevent illness around her asap and needed to confirm what I had before her surgery. They LAUGHED and said oh well. After trying multiple other urgent cares in Gardner and Olathe that had also closed I had to go to the ER just because I wasn’t in the parking lot to check in until 5:30pm when I tried to call ahead… (FYI all it was, was strep.) Yes, I understand other urgent cares were also closed unusually too. However, had they had any grace, they could have checked me in while driving and then just not called me in until I called back to confirm I was in the parking lot. And they wouldn’t have needed to wait had I shown up late because then that would’ve been on me.

If I could give negative 10 stars I would. I have a primary care dr from here that I can never get in to see, she said if I can’t get in to see her I can see her nurse practitioner or come to urgent care for my chronic illness. I can never get in to see the nurse practitioner and the urgent care has told me the last 3 times I tried to go that they couldn’t see me, despite being there 30-60 mins before closing. I waist more time attempting to be seen at this location than I actually spend being seen. I always end up at the other urgent care here in town or at Olathe medical ER… truly no point in this urgent care even being open at this point.

Completely understaffed. Close for lunch essentially without saying so online telling folks no walk-in being taken, but it’s to clear out the waiting area. Longest wait I’ve ever experienced at any urgent care the two times I’ve been here both in the main waiting area, and once in a room, including waiting for the X-ray tech to return from lunch. Doors are not ADA compliant in patient rooms either. Policy for walk-in or scheduling a time always varies depending on amount of people waiting.

They told me I should call from the parking lot to get registered.. I called when I got there they immediately put me on hold for over 10 minutes I thought they got busy and forgot about me, no problem I'll just try calling him back. I called back, they again immediately put me on hold I sat on hold for over 12 minutes so I decided I would just go in and check in. they checked me in and told me it will be about 35 minutes and to go wait in my car. I waited over an hour and a 1/2 and I called to check my status. Again they put me on hold for about 7 minutes the guy comes back and says I was gonna be 45 minutes to an hour..absolutely the worst customer service. There was only 3 cars in the lot. I love my primary doctor, the nurses and the lab guy are great. But that weekend crew and the girls up front during the week are rude, arrogant and just don't care

I would not reccomend. Especially if you are going to see Nurse practitioner Ashley Burk. She is extremely cold and rude. I felt she tried to get me out the door as fast as she could. She did not care to figure out what was actually wrong. She tried sending me off with muscle relaxers with severe neck and back pain. When I asked if she thought it was anything bad or serious she said she did not know. She made it clear she did not know and did not care. Although I will say the staff up front were very kind and the X-ray tech was extremely caring and nice.

Terrible location. Over an hour with no one being taken back other than a lady waiting on her husband who got an eyelash in her eye

The only reason I even gave a 1 rating is because there wasn't an option for a lower rating!! My Mom was at the door at 6:30 on the dot, with a gaping wound on her leg, bleeding down into her shoe, and she was told, "sorry we closed 1 min ago". What a waste of a building! It's not a medical facility that's for sure!!

Saved my spot online, then 10mins before my appointment I got a text saying they are running behind 30mins. No big deal, so 11:22am comes around 10 mins before our appointment time and we go in to fill out paperwork and they tell me it's still a 3 hour wait on top of me already waiting. I asked her them why does my appointment time say 11:32? And she avoided the question and said the people that were in line before you are still waiting. OKAY!?!?! Then adjust your scheduling! Don't let me sit there and make an appointment for an hour from now when you know good and we'll it's going to be like 3-4 hours!

Just went there for a fever over 100 the last three nights and diarrhea I've had for the last 5 days. A physician assistant told me it might just be my diet and to stay hydrated. Told me I could do a stool sample which I had to take home then bring back for them to send off before the would decide what to do. That would probably be another 5 days.

I have been here on two different occasions, not impressed either time. This time I saw a physicians assistant. She lacked compassion and seemed like she couldn’t care less. Waste of time.

Waste of time. Barely had any patients & still waited over an hour. Then didn’t do anything to help at all.

I call for urgent care 3 times they answer and ask you to hold to never comeback I'm in pain and I'm holding on limbo bad place for a emergency.
