Kevin J. Punswick, DO

The absolute best Doctor I’ve ever been to! So caring and personable. My son(2), Husband and I are all his patients and he takes great care of us. I’ll never forget the time he prayed for me during one of my Dr appointments.

We just switched care to Dr. Punswick. He is seeing all 4 of our kids (newborn, 2, 4, and 6). He is the most personable doctor we have EVER seen. He made it a point to speak directly to each kid and be interested in everything they were saying. He even got my shyest daughter to laugh and speak with him. We never felt rushed and I felt very validated as a parent. Seriously an amazing doctor!

Dr. Punswick is probably the best doctor I have ever been to. He has a really good attitude, intelligent and patient. He truly cares about his patients and their well being. I drive from Overland Park to Gardner just to see him. Also the staff and nurses are very kind and good humored. I called 5 minutes before closing on a Monday and Jordan took her time with me to schedule an appointment, even letting me know that there was an open appointment the very next day.

Dr Punswick is am amazing physician and person! I have some difficult and not very common medical conditions and he has always taken the time to look at the full picture and point me in the correct direction. Highly recommend!

Fantastic doctor; he takes his time to check up on you and is excellent at addressing health problems. I appreciate him because of his ability to provide quality care while teaching his residency students.

Amazing doctor!

Dr. Punswick was my doctor until 2014 when he decided his religion was more important than the Hippocratic oath. I was pregnant and he was prescribing my anti-depressants. I was in a very depressed and fragile state and tried to talk to him about the situation I was in. Instead of helping me, he judged me and refused to treat me. What he didn't know is that I was suicidal at the time. If he hadn't sneered at me and suddenly left the room after judging me, he would have discovered that. As my pregnancy progressed, I had more and more problems with my baby who survived (I started with twins.) No one could figure out what was going on in that last trimester. But I was assured everything was ok. My son was stillborn almost 3 years ago, July 5, 2014. Maybe if Dr. Punswick had continued as my doctor, he would have had some insight for me. I felt he was a really good doctor. I really counted on him, that's why I went to him for help. But he chose Catholicism over being a good doctor and "doing no harm" to his patient. It took me over a year to get over that fear and mistrust of doctors. But I've never gotten over what Punswick did to me and definitely never gotten over the death of my son.

Dr. Punswick saw me in the hospital when making rounds for my doc. He tried to interject his opinions about a very complicated family situation that he didn’t understand. His questioning and subsequent “suggestions” were invasive. He made a phone call for “discharge planning” to relatives without my knowledge and and without my permission, and asked questions that had nothing to do with my care, and made my relatives extremely uncomfortable. He was more interested in me going home than he was finding an option for me to go to rehab. He may be great as a family doc and OB with patients that have easy to manage health, but I certainly was not impressed
