Lake Olathe Park

The lake is a very peaceful and beautiful place to visit in the late fall. The lake is never too incredibly busy year round and the cliffs and waterfall areas make it very serene! Sometimes I call it my therapy room.

Had a blast taking portraits here. The wide range of shots that are available here is top notch. Fall was gorgeous as always. Also, seems like they have some great areas for kiddos.

First time coming to Lake Olathe. We came here to take the kids on the obstacle course that they have. I personally thought it was bigger for adult use also, but it appears to be only for kids and that’s all I seen use it was kids which is fine. Once you purchase a time for the course, you have to go out at a certain time for 1 hour usage.

The beach area was clean, small but clean. Plenty of life guards. Had a shower/wash off area and can purchase food and eat under a shade area. The facility was clean and nice overall. I don’t know about the restrooms as I didn’t use them. We will come back.

The work they have done here has really improved the area. It looks beautiful now and has a ton of attractions. Definitely a great outdoor space to spend time with friends or family.

Lots to see and do here for adults, kiddos, and teens. The park is very clean and the greenery is always manicured. Lots of free parking too.

Nice park/lake. Several shelters. Boat ramp. Building new roads and pavilion plus new play equipment and swim area. A lot of renovation this winter at Lake Olathe.

Great place for summer picnic or party with friends. Rented a space and it was perfect!!

Incredible transformation. Absolutely LOVE the new Lake Olathe!! Cannot wait until next summer.

This was a great quiet lake to go for sunset kayaking session There's several nice places to kayak to such as the waterfall. Some cool wildlife were around as well. There is parking on 2 sides of the lake.

This is a great park. The Marina has a lot of rentals at relatively reasonable price. The trails are accessible, but still enjoyable. I haven't been in the eagles nest yet because of the pandemic, but the outside and what I can see through the windows are very nice. Our about troop uses the ampitheater for our meeting. It is large enough for distancing while still being part of the bigger group. Fishing is every pretty good.

We've been to the playground and beach area a handful of times and enjoyed each visit. Though you're not supposed to swim, the signs don't deter people and the beach is often full on hot days. (They did recently add more rocks, I'm assuming to help deter those people). The playground is pretty clean, and it's nice to be able to see out over the water. The boat ramp is in front of the playground and never too busy. There's a convenient circle drive to park in right by the ramp.

Amazing scenery, especially at dawn when the water is calm and peaceful. Lots of paddle boats. Many great fishing spots as it is kept well stocked. Just wish people would pack out their trash. You can tell where to fish from all the abandoned cans and worm containers.

Love the new disc golf course, marina with kayak + paddle board + canoe + pedal boat rentals, swim beach, event center, and interactive sensory features at Lake Olathe. Same beautiful views. Worth the drive out there.

Decent playground and very clean restrooms! Plenty of places to have a nice picnic and the splash pads are fantastic in the summer!

Small clean beach with little traffic in the fall. Playground nearby and boat ramp. Very nice cliffs to hike on the far side of the lake. A good afternoon destination.

One of my favorite places to enjoy the sights while driving, or stop and check out the new park. They have lots of stuff for kids and adults alike.

I took my granddaughter there, we played by the lake and sat on a bench and through little rocks in the water. It was very clean and a nice place to go. Mr. P.

This is such a fun dynamic area. From the cliff jumping/swimming, to fishing, to walking around and exploring some of the cool areas I've had tons of great times would recommend for an adventure or somewhere to kill time!
