Cathy's Kitchen

I’ve been wanting to try Cathy’s for awhile now, and today I finally made the drive from Fairview Heights that was well worth it. I intended to pay with cash, but I wasn’t aware of their no cash policy. I explained to the employees that I drove pretty far and had exact change, and they were able to make the one time accommodation. I really appreciated this gesture since I had drove from pretty far. I ordered the chicken Philly, steak Philly, wings and gumbo combo, and banana pudding cake. The philly’s were two of the best that I’ve ever had. I LOVED the addition of the giardiniera peppers; they added a really good taste, with a slight kick and crunch to the sandwiches. The fried chicken was perfectly crunchy and seasoned; the gumbo was not like any gumbo I’ve ever tasted, but I enjoyed it and would order it again! Lastly, the banana pudding cake was moist, creamy, and the perfect way to end a memorable lunch. I will definitely be back to Cathy’s Kitchen very soon. Thank you for the stellar customer service and tasty food!

Come on now LOOK at that Cajun Chicken pasta. You already KNOW the food was gonna hit. Such a flavorful experience, the staff was incredibly nice, and the vibes inside worh the music playing and the look was immaculate. I am from Chicago and just saying, PLEASE go give this spot a try.

Food was sooo good, the shrimp in the Alfredo is small but it doesn’t hurt the flavor of the pasta and it’s enough. My brother got the wings and said the breading could have some more kick. Also the sauce to the Cajun pasta goes so well with the chicken and fries.

The employees are busy and still kind. The music is great. Every time I come to St. Louis I make my way over here to get Cathy’s food.

My best friend and I were in St. Louis attending some ball games and she had heard about Cathy's Kitchen, so we took a trip to Ferguson to check it out. We were not disappointed! The staff is so friendly and the menu is really eclectic. I ordered the philly cheesesteak and fries. My friend had the Thursday special of wings and shrimp, as well as the cheese grits (which she practically went swimming in!) and the BBQ corn. Everything was delicious and I'm not ashamed to say I ate it all! We're talking about an annual pilgrimage to St. Louis just so we can eat at Cathy's (of course if our teams are playing each other, that's a bonus!). This is such a great concept for a restaurant, so next time you're in the St. Louis area, go check it out! And bring your appetite!

I ordered takeout through the website, it was delivered through DoorDash. Ordering through the website was a smooth process with all menu items at your fingertips and options on how you want to receive your order I choose Door-dashing to my place of employment for lunch. He was right on time.

Great food in the heart of Ferguson, the different "city" menus are unique to each and is a really great value. I love it. I recommend to everyone who has a minute, stop here, you won't be disappointed. Oh and the cheesy grits, to die for!!!!

Read reviews prior to dining in. Went after lunch rush so the place was quiet. The restaurant was clean and airy with good music playing. Easy to order from kiosk. Food was delivered to our table via robot. Voodoo shrimp was really good, would have preferred the sauce be left out of my coleslaw or at least the option of having it on the side. Mom got the shrimp and grits, which she read the grits were "too loose", so she ordered the gumbo on the side. Total game changer, because the gumbo won't drown your grits if you add it as you go. My only issue was I was freezing. Again, after reading reviews, the fans and exhaust system are officially fully functioning. Lol. I'd rather leave my coat on than choke on smoke. I'll definitely be going back.

Absolutely great food. The kiosk however I'm not a fan of as we had issue with it freezing up. Ended up ordering at the counter. Customer service was great. I ordered the Chicken strips and fries and my sister the chicken wrap.
I'll definitely be back.

This place was a gem !! Exception food . Amazing atmosphere and good service. Clean and respectful. Amazing business in the Ferguson area. Thank you all for this experience. A lot of take out orders when I was in the each. That’s good. Cathy herself was on the grill making amazing meals.

We always search for a Mom and Pop place to dine for our road trips. Tucked into a small strip mall, Cathy's Kitchen is very unassuming from the outside. Don't be fooled. Friendly greeting at the door. Everyone was super helpful. I worry at times about places that have so many menu items. My worries were unfounded. I had the shrimp mac and cheese. So, so good. Did i say so good! Every single bite had a shrimp. Some bites had two. Could not eat it all. Generous serving size. The grilled broccoli, perfect! Everything was cooked to order, fresh. Worth the 10-15 minute wait. Fresh, hot and delicious. We will not hesitate to stop by again on our trips.

Ordered a veggie burger with cajun fries. The burger was grilled to perfection. The fries were CRISPY, but i would've liked more spice.
The portions were perfect and my food was still hot when i arrived home. To improve your already perfect burger, please add some sort of sauce to go with it. My only gripe, i wish you guys had more vegetarian options!!!! Would've loved to try your red beans and rice, as its my favorite dish, but alas it has turkey in it.

If you're in the area, DONT MISS OUT ON THIS 💎! 10/10!

Was doing a side job in the area and found this place online. Took my father for lunch. AMAZING FOOD!!!! oh the chicken was seasoned so well, and the shrimp to 🤩 definitely suggest stopping if you're in the area!!!

That’s the first time I’ve eaten at this place. The food was good. The service was good, but you need to understand that it is set up for takeout more so than dine in. However, you can dine in you have to be prepared to place your order over your phone or at one of the kiosk

JUST LET ME TELL YA... I came across Cathy's kitchen on YouTube. Few weeks later I am up in the area and drove about 1.20 to get there. I had that amazing fake Parmigiano chicken pasta. It was delicious!!!... All the haters, running restaurant isn't easy you need all the help you can get. I promise your 7 stars restaurants doing same thing, and nothing wrong with it.. Mrs. Cathy your food and staff were amazing!!!..

We had a party of 7 and we had a blast! The music was really good while we waited for our food that was being cooked while we waited. The entire meal is prepared while you wait. EVERYTHING was soooo good. The entire location was clean inside and outside. We can't wait to go back.

We tried to go to the farmers market but it was rained out so we just stumbled upon this gem. Good food. Friendly service! We were greeted and instructed on how to order right as we entered. Nice music too!

The atmosphere is very chill. Walk in and seat yourself. I appreciated the lack of fuss. You ordered and paid from a QR code at the table and your name is called when your food is ready. My mother, sister and I all had pastas. They were served fresh and hot. I had the Cajun shrimp Mac and cheese, which was FIRE! Mom and sister enjoyed their versions of chicken and shrimp Alfredo's. My sister had to have the half and half strawberry cake and by the end of that slice my mom and sister were fork fighting for the last bite!

I absolutely love this place. The food is so good! My favorite is the Cajun chicken pasta. The music playing gives “old school soul” vibes.

Some insight: This is not a business where you should expect to be served meals. Like MANY other restaurants, you order on the kiosk (no cash, card only), choose either for-here or to-go, and you find yourself a booth or table. They’ll call you when your order comes up. You eat and leave. It’s pretty simple.

On many occasions, you’ll see Cathy twirling about the restaurant greeting others, offering tips and suggestions, and even taking pics with people who have traveled here just to enjoy her food. One things for sure, you’re likely to catch her contagious, friendly smile.
