Southside Pet Hospital

I brought in my jack russell today because he was experiencing vestibular issues. The vet techs and Dr. Wolfe took great care of my boy and put my mind at ease about his symptoms and treatment. They let me stay with my dog throughout the visit, provided several opportunities for me to ask questions, and charged a reasonable price for their services. I did not feel rushed and I felt like they treated my dog like they would one of their own. I am thankful for the compassionate care my boy received today and plan to go back in the future.

10/10 recommend. The staff is always so helpful and kind. We have used them for two urgent care visits for our cat, and each time they have gotten us in for a visit, no problem. Spicy approves!

we love southside for both of our pups! they have always been quick to get us in for sick visits, and take our concerns for our doggies seriously. we have seen nearly every doctor there, and they have all been great! the techs are amazing too, and really take the time to get to know each of our girls every appointment so that they feel comfortable at the vet. we don't live super close to southside, but have continued to make the longer drive because of the care that Remi and Riley get here!!

Dr Patterson and the staff are amazing! They took great care of our dog after he swallowed a mini football. He needed surgery to get it out. We have been taking our dogs here for a couple years and they always do a great job.

I started going to Southside when I moved to the area. Since then, Dr. Plass and the rest of the staff have exceeded expectations in all areas. They are kind and considerate, reasonably priced, and very experienced and knowledgeable. They always remember me and my pets and I feel like they truly care about my little furry family members. I've recently moved from the area, but I will always make the drive to Southside because I believe there is no better vet!

Dr. Patterson and tech Mikayla were wonderful with our Luna! They took the time to help her calm down for the checkup and made her feel more at ease than she has ever been at the vet. We appreciate the effort!

If I could give more stars I would. Out of all of the vets I’ve been to, this one was by far the best. My cat does not do well that the vet at all, but they made me feel so at ease about it. Every single person I’ve interacted there was so kind and accommodating; the front staff, the assistant, and Dr. Wolfe. I can’t thank them enough and I really look forward to having them as a permanent vet for my cats.

Always have a pleasant visit when I bring Cocoa my mini dachshund in. They explain stuff clearly and always calm Cocoa down if she’s scared 😊

Southside is the best! We met with the Dr. and within 15 minutes our Holly was diagnosed and treated for allergies. They were so kind and supportive as they administered a shot and provided a bit of whip cream to distract her! We love Southside!

My dogs Noah and Joey have been coming to SouthSide since they were puppies 2 1/2 years ago. The front staff, vet techs, and veterinarians have always been spectacular. I’ve referred friends to come here because I’m always left satisfied with the experience. Special shout-out to Dr. Winkley she is the sweetest person ever and she always goes over and beyond for her patients and pet parents. Highly recommend you see her and come to Southside.

We started taking our dog, Marley to Dr. Wolf recently and she has been fantastic to work with. She is very patient and answers all of our questions. Marley is a bit high needs and we have full confidence in Southside to take care of her and keep her healthy for years to come!

Easy and quick to get an appointment. Dr. was very good at explaining what they were doing, why and what our options were. Did a great job training us on how to take care of our cat, Ben.

Have been going to Southside Pet Hospital for a few years now with my 2 dogs and have had nothing but great experiences. We mostly see Dr. Plass but have seen Dr Reilly as well they are both so kind and listen to my concerns and answer all my questions. My dogs are getting up there in age and Dr Plass has really helped us be able to give our dogs their best quality of life in their last few years without pushing big invasive or expensive treatments/medications. Always easy and quick to get into for an appointment. Would highly recommend this office to anyone.

We love Southside Pet Hospital! Our kittens, Bear and Luna, are treated great every time we visit. The staff is wonderful and they answer all of our questions we have. They are very professional and really take good care of our little kitties. I would recommend taking your pet here.

Great team of vets and staff! We have been clients for over 10 years. Our doxie Maxover the year has loved going to the vet! And he went so willingly when they provided boarding. We use their PAW plan for discounts!!

Another great visit to Southside Pet Hospital. Dr. Plass and the rest of the vets and staff are always fantastic. We have been going there 2 years with our Daisy and two cats, and wouldn’t go anywhere else. Daisy use to get pretty wound up at vet office but she stays fairly chill for her visits now.

I haven’t met a doctor or staff member who doesn’t care for my sweet Daisy like they would their own beloved family member. They great my dog and make her feel safe upon arrival to visits. I love that they take their time, do a thorough assessment of my dog’s ailments and needs, and provide solid medical advice and care to keep my dog, who has chronic diseases (epilepsy and now idiopathic thrombocytopenia), as healthy as she can possibly be so we can enjoy what time we have left with her. She’s 13 so we know our time is closer to the end than we would like!! Thank you Dr. McDermitt and Dr. Winkley and the entire staff of Southside for the love and exceptional care you always provide. ❤

We have been been bringing our pets to Southside for over 10 years now, and have always had nothing but good experiences. Their front office staff and techs are always very helpful, professional, and kind. They have only ever given me reason to believe that they are genuinely interested in the health and well-being of our pets.

Dr. Plass is by far the most empathetic and understanding vet we've ever had. Our 15 year old cat, while old and slowing down, can still be a tornado of fur and razor blades when he feels he needs to be, but she has never backed down from the old grouch. She trained my wife on how to give him subcutaneous fluids at home and has been incredibly helpful when trying to find a prescription food he'll actually eat. She has helped treat our puppy for pain she was having in her tail and got her from keeping it tucked between her legs to whipping that thing around in violent enthusiasm. When she had a reaction to her first set of adult vaccinations, the staff worked to get us in immediately and Dr. Plass was able to quickly figure out what was happening and put my mind at ease. She and the staff at Southside have also walked us through the delicate and painful side of end of life care, helping us understand our options when it came to saying goodbye to our gentle giant of a dog.

Every experience I've ever had here with any of my three animals over the last 15 years has been positive and met with genuine concern, empathy, and well-explained options for treatment. Highly recommend.

As always this place is great! Dr Plass is fantastic with my dogs and Dr Riley is great with my lizards! Love, Antares, Bellatrix, Nova, Astra, Freyja, and Apollo!!
