Lewis is the best!!! He called me when there were cancellations so that I could get my car in sooner AND when he was done he lowered the price he originally asked for because the task was easier than he thought. Very kind and easy to work with. Wonderful guy with a wonderful business.

I searched over eight different dealers for help with my vehicle, Lewis was willing to accommodate my specific needs.

He was able to help me the same day that I called and told me, “come on down!”

When I arrived he was waiting for me and got me right in.

He listened to my concerns and addressed them professionally.

After service was complete I offered him a tip which he adamantly but politely refused and said, “it’s my job, this is what I get paid to do.”

My engine was overheating and I didn't know why so I used the reviews online and decided to stop by Lewis' Auto Repair shop and the guy was really nice and told me he was a little backed up that day so it probably wouldn't happen until tomorrow but that I could leave the car there if I wanted. He called me an hour later to say he had checked it out and found my radiator fan to be broken so he gave me a max estimate and said he would need to get the proper part but that it would take a day. Then asked if I wanted my coolant changed out, which I knew I could use so I agreed. Came back to pick the car up, it worked great. Got home, checked the coolant, it was low. So I called him asking about it. He said sometimes there are air bubbles so that's why it wasn't fully filled the first time. He offered to fill it up again if I came back, so I did. Then he asked if I had any coolant, which of course I didn't. So he gave me the rest of the bottle to keep if it turned out to be low again later. Didn't need to do that at all. Definitely coming back again.

I use to work at a car dealership/ service department and I always bring my car to the dealership for repairs. However, when my car started overheating, the dealership wanted $100 just to diagnose the problem and they couldn't confirm if that price would be applied to the cost of the repair if I had it fixed there. My friend recommended Lewis Auto Repair. I called at 8AM and he was able to look at it right away. Within 2 hours he had diagnosed the problem and explained what was going on. He was upfront and honest about repairs and costs and he didn't charge me an arm and a leg just to diagnose it!

Wow, these guys are amazing!! It is so refreshing to find honest, professional service providers today. This was my first time to Lewis Auto Repair. I used the reviews I found on line to try them out. I was told by another company that I needed new rear brakes on my Chevy Silverado. They were squealing badly so I assumed this was the case. I received a quote from a major service center at almost $600. I called Lewis Auto Body and spoke with Tony. He was amazing. Polite, professional, and said he'd have a quote for me in 15 minutes. He immediately called me back with a quote of $475. I took the truck there the following day for the repair. Tony called me an hour later and said that the brakes were fine, just needed cleaning and drums adjusted. Total cost $50!!!!! Wow, what a wonderful surprise. I will DEFINITELY be using Lewis Auto Body for all my future car needs. Thanks so much for your honesty, integrity, and professional service.

Probably the best experience I've ever had at a mechanic before. He's a nice guy, extremely knowledgeable, and charges a very fair rate compared to other shops in town. I couldn't recommend Lewis' shop enough.

[2020 Update] five years ago I left my first review and am happy to say I’ve had nothing but positive things to say about Lewis and his shop. I’ve now had larger repairs and the work is high quality and always done right.

My car is used a lot in my job and I can feel confident having Lewis work on my car. He has always gone above and beyond every time I bring my car in. All the work he has done so far had been minor stuff under $200. But if/when something major comes up, I know where I will take my car.

Absolutely wonderful. Lewis was super nice and helpful. I'm used to automotive places trying to take advantage of me since I'm a woman, but Lewis did nothing of the sort. He also was extremely patient with all my questions, and fixed my car days before he said he'd be done. He also did his best to help me save money on the repairs I needed. There was a hiccup with my repair, but I brought it back and he fixed it for only the cost of the additional parts, since he said it was something he should have replaced in the first place. I'd recommend him to anyone, but especially if you're nervous about cars or repairs, or you're a college student.

Lewis was great. I had to get my breaks replaced and he got me in fast. He was very friendly, even entertained my little guy while I pulled the carseats out. Work was done in a very reasonable time frame for a decent price and I have had no problems. Would go again 100%

My daughter said she had a horrible noise under the hood when she was driving and had no idea what it was. I looked online for a repair shop that had great reviews to send her to have it checked out and Lewis Auto Repair had several 5 star reviews. I can see why now. She showed up and they were booked up but they took the time to go and check it out for her. Found that it just needed power steering fluid and added it at NO CHARGE. I told her to tell everyone she knows about them. Great place for you to take your car!!!! Very Highly Recommended!!!

I've found my local mechanic! My car had some odd noises coming from the rear driver's side brake. Lewis called me 30 mins after I dropped it off, knew what the issue was, and quoted me a fair price. Picked my vehicle up only a few hours later, all was well. He even brought out my faulty part to demonstrate to me what was wrong.
Do not take your vehicle anywhere else. A dealership in town quoted me $700 more than what Lewis did to fix things that weren't even broken. Lewis is Manhattan's honest mechanic.

our car was having a few problems. we was quoted 1000, for the repairs. even if we got our own parts. so my husband called here. was so much cheaper. he was very nice. got us in the day after we called.. honestly if u need work done go here. I know we will go back every time we need work done..

Always respectful and honest when coming to get vehicles work on by Lewis. Have never had any wrong doing or issues with care of vehicles when he's working on them.

Mr. Lewis is incredible, I sent my daughter who is a student at K-State there to get her Jeep checked out, and he took care of it immediately. A true honest tech, and as I am in New Jersey I could not ask for a better arrangement for service. Excellent job!

Don't let his style of communication throw you off, Lewis is honest and respectful to his customers. He answered all of my questions with great detail and accuracy, and gave me a very good price for excellent work. I would highly recommend him!.

Excellent customer service, was squeezed in at the last minute for a major repair that other mechanics didn't want to mess with. Best prices in town. Service was done before the estimated time. Overall a very outstanding experience. Finally found a great and trustworthy shop, that will continue to get my business.
