Pawnee Prairie Park

So many wonderful walking and hiking trails! Pawnee entrance is perfect for families with children and the Tyler entrance is great all around.

A great place to go on a nice day to relax and decompress. A lot of various trails to explore. Highly recommend if you need to practice bit of self-care and unwind.

Really enjoyed a hike with family through the park. There are two entrances, so if you're meeting someone, make sure everyone knows which side to go to. The trails are well-maintained and well-marked. There is plenty of shade. Restrooms are available at the both entrances. There is a playground in the west side.

Went there 1st time with boyfriend, what can I say? Out there is beyond beautiful! We walked more than 2 hours felt like we are in forest somewhere! we definitely enjoyed!

Great place to run or walk with all kind of wildlife, trees and other different scenery. It has all kinds of trials through it and you could just continue taking little offshoot trials for ever. It is also cool that there is a creek that is flowing through and the various bridges and stuff.

There's deer ! The trails are endless. It's such a beautiful, easy walk. There is some paved road not much. You'll see many runners and cyclists in the area. There are also many horse trails .

This place it's the largest nature park in Wichita, with the most wildlife, and feeling that you truly are out in the woods. There is a concrete path, that goes a long ways; and a nature trail for the hikers or equestrians. This park has been preserved for a long time, because the trees there are very tall. One could easily make it a 4-mile hike.

I love taking my dog here. I always end up getting lost but she's really good at finding the way back. It's just so pretty and peaceful.

Absolutely beautiful and there is so much to see. It has horse trails and the views are endless!

Pawnee Prairie Park is one of my all time favorite locations to visit. The playground on the south entrance is a blast for all ages and the walking path (cemented and off trail) is beautiful. The nature is phenomenal and a great place to see deer. Its a popular place for ICT Area Rocks as well which myself and my kids love to participate in.

Nice trail! It can get a bit bumpy, so be careful if riding bikes. It’s a great place to soak up the outdoors.

Awesome little park. Playground with a zip line, slide, and other stuff to climb on. Also great walking trails both concrete and dirt offshoots. Good place for walking or bike riding

The playground is great and the walking path is well shaded and stroller friendly. We like to stop at the creek to explore!!

The park playground is very entertaining for kids. There is bike/hiking trail. The temperature is hot and humid with no wind😅.

Love taking the pup out here! Get to see some deer and turkeys roaming about. Such a quiet place, you can go for a good two mile walk without interacting with anyone. There’s so many variations of the trail you can go on as well.

Cute little park. I always went on the Tyler entrance and discovered the Pawnee entrance. Love this trail a lot better! Nice and clean. Go early to beat the crowds.

This park is simply beautiful. We had my gender reveal for my second child here under the gazebo. The only issue was that a few kids on bikes wouldn't leave us alone. They kept asking for food or what we were doing. Would've included them if they weren't rude and invasive.

Pawnee Prairie offers the most rustic nature trail in Wichita. The multiple intertwining paths let's you take a different path each time.

Had a good walk on this trail, coming from California to visit relatives in Wichita, a much needed walk indeed.
